“Kelsey and her family were absolutely amazing while caring for Charlie during my recent work trip! ❤️ From the moment I dropped him off, I knew he was in great hands. Kelsey kept me updated throughout my trip with messages and lots of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was obvious Charlie was having a great time and was treated like part of their family. When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved. As a flight attendant, being away from home can be stressful, so knowing Charlie was safe and cared for meant the world to me. Thank you, Kelsey, for taking such wonderful care of my little guy! I truly appreciate everything you and your family did for him. I would absolutely recommend Kelsey to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and communicative sitter. I won’t hesitate to book with her again in the future!”

“Karen is the first dog sitter I left my puppy with and it went great! She sent updates, pictures, and my dog was so happy! Thank you, Karen for a great first experience! We will be in touch next time Violet visits Ann Arbor with me 💜”

“Abigail took great care of our pup while we were away! We could tell she has had lots of experience caring for dogs and welcomed our cuddly, spunky girl with open arms. Abigail is extremely responsive with messages, a plus for first time boarders. Would not hesitate to book again.”

“Aylin was flexible, attentive, and responsive— it was great working with her to watch my big pup Athena. Her location is great and it was awesome that she could tag team watching my pup with her partner. I really appreciated the peace of mind on my long weekend trip.”

“Harriet had her first sleepover at Monica’s. I so appreciate the love and care she has received and Monica’s willingness to let her get used to visiting a little bit at a time. Harriet has a great time playing with the other pups and comes home happy and tired!”

“Lizzy, Brain, and Pepper welcomed our two pups into their home with genuine care. They willingly arranged a meet-and-greet ahead for our comfort. During their stay we received regular updates of the attention and fun they shared. We will be rebooking.”

“Oscar is a phenomenal dog sitter. His communication is quick and consistent so I never had to worry about my dog. He was willing to accommodate with any dietary restrictions and made sure she was comfortable staying in his home. Highly recommend Oscar!”

“Zelda loves her time with Laura, Manuel, and their dogs. She now gets excited every time we turn into their neighborhood. It’s such a relief to know she is well cared for!”

“Mengdongxue (Laura) was great. She took in my two dogs for 4 nights + and made it easy to drop off and pick up. Consistent photos and nice long walks. Felt very safe leaving my dogs there and will 100% utilize her again. Very sweet and good communication.”
About: I have taken care of family dogs since I was old enough to remember. I grew up with 2 shih tzu's at home, and they were my fiercest protectors. I have taken care of both senior dogs and puppies. I love caring for dogs (every size and breed!). I know how hard it is to leave your best friend behind, which is why my goal is to give you total peace of mind. Whether we’re out for a long walk or curled up on the couch, I promise to treat your pup with the same love and devotion I would give my own. You can enjoy your time away knowing they aren't just being watched—they’re being pampered, played with, and truly cared for. I’m currently working full-time (9 am-5 pm) Monday-Friday, so I would be perfect for a weekend or long weekend coverage. I am available Fridays after 4:30, and typically all day on Saturdays and Sundays. I am also open to staying during the weekdays as long as your pet does not need to be taken out in the middle of the day. I can have pets in my apartment so I am available for boarding! And, I would be more than happy to do home-stays or quick drop-ins for walks and feeding!
“Andrew was great! It was my first time leaving the doggy with a stranger, but he set up a meet and greet and kept me updated so that I barely worried my whole trip. He even convinced Dr. Pepper to take his meds, which is no small feet. If I ever need to travel again, I can say with confidence that Pepper will enjoy his vacation with Andrew too.”

“Brigitte took excellent care of our senior dog! She was great with communication and updates, sharing multiple photos and details about how he was doing throughout his stay with her. He came back looking clean and smelling great! Thank you!”
“Lauren and Tyler and family were fantastic! I know they took such good care of my old boy and gave him all the love and attention. Will definitely book with them in the future!”

“Wow - Anna was an amazing sitter! We were a little nervous leaving our pup (Uki) with a new person, but right from the start, we knew she was in for a great experience. Even before we booked, Anne agreed to have my husband come to her house to allow Uki to get acclimated/make sure it was a good fit. My husband instantly felt at ease with Anne and had no concerns leaving Uki with her. During our vacation, Anne sent us daily photos and *the most adorable* daily status updates on how Uki was doing. She went out of her way to make Uki special treats, accommodate her dietary preferences, allowed her on her sofa, and took her on long walks, and showered her with attention. Honestly, I imagine Uki was a bit sad to leave! We are so grateful to Anne for her attention to our pup and would rebook with her in an instant/recommend her to all our friends. Great first experience with Rover!”
“Katie and Dave did a fantastic job with Sully! Communication was through and I received lots of photos of him on his adventures. I would recommend and trust them, and I’ll certainly be in touch again when out of town. 😊”

“Deana and her husband were great with my dog! Amazing house with great outdoor areas and their little dog is wonderful. Deana was also very flexible and accommodating for scheduling. True dog lovers - Highly recommend!”

Melissa was wonderful with our dog and took great care of him while we were away traveling. She kept us updated, gave him lots of attention, and made sure he was happy and well cared for. He also loved having a doggie playmate during his stay, which made the experience even better. We came home to a happy pup and would definitely trust Melissa to watch him again!

We had our dog, Pia, do an afternoon stay ahead of an upcoming boarding stay with Aylin. We just wanted our Pia to get to know Aylin and the house before the longer stay. Aylin was super accommodating of our request and Pia had a great time. We got two very cute photo updates for just a four hour stay, which was very sweet.

My dogs stayed with Joseph over the holiday weekend. We got lots of updates during their stay. My one dog has a hard time with fireworks. He made sure she was comfortable and got all the loves and snuggles. My dogs were well loved and cared for during their stay. I would recommend Joseph and would have him watch our dogs again. 😊

Teresa is fantastic! She takes wonderful care of my dog, Winston, and I always know he's in great hands. She's caring, reliable, and truly loves animals. Winston is always happy and well cared for when he's with her. I highly recommend Teresa to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!

So glad to have found Katie and Dave! They will definitely be our go-to sitters going forward. Katie asked all the right questions - it is evident that she wants to get to know the pups to be able to give them the best care possible. I appreciated the daily updates/pictures and could tell the dogs were comfortable and happy during their stay. I also appreciated that the home/property was very clean and in a good area for walks! Highly recommend.

We love Marcin! This was our 2nd booking with him and Dexter became excited to see him again. Our dog is typically anxious and has a medicine routine that Marcin has accommodated better than most. He communicates well on longer trips and sends really great pictures.

Ariana was very responsive during our trip planning, and was prepared for us when we arrived. She went over and beyond sending photos and checking in while we were away, and responding promptly when I had questions. This was our first time leaving our dog with someone we didn't know well, and it made a difference to work with someone who had strong communication, and who acted like they genuinely cared for our dog, who is a member of our family.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
