“Our dog had a wonderful visit with Barbara and Dirk. They have a great setup for dogs, are friendly, and are good communicators. They even put up with us being later than expected on pickup. We’ll definitely use them again.”

“Ariana is the only person outside of my own mom who I can leave my Viva with and drive away without the slightest worry- knowing that she will be happy, loved, and so well taken care of. This was our second stay with Ariana and her sweet pup Yogi and I always love getting picture updates throughout the day of lots of play time and cuddles. Viva had some tummy problems during the stay and Ariana went above and beyond to take phenomenal care of her and calm my anxiety while I was across the country. We are so lucky to know her!”

“Tanu was fantastic with our dog Daisy! She sent updates every day and kept Daisy comfortable and happy throughout her stay. Tanu took Daisy on walks every day and let us know how she was doing with food and water and the weather. We were so impressed and happy that Tanu was able to put our minds at ease and care for our pup in the same way we would. Great experience, we would love to work with Tanu again!”

“Anne was wonderful. Porter liked her right away and seemed to feel comfortable in her home. She walked him twice daily and sent photos and videos. Anne was also prompt in responding to text messages. I will use her services again!”

“Amy did a fantastic job taking care of our dog while we were away for a weekend. She was very attentive, sweet, responsive, and provided daily updates. We will definitely have her watch our dog in the future!”

“Laura was wonderful. She had a fenced yard and two dogs for our dog to play with. She was so understanding when he had some loose stools. Even fed him some rice. She went above and beyond. I wish she had clones in every place we stay. Would definitely use again. She also kept us updated and sent pictures.”

“This is the third time that Laura and Manuel have watched our two pups and they are beyond amazing. We knew that the dogs were having the best time and were very well taken care of. They sent us pictures and updates throughout our trip and are always responsive.”

“This was my first time using Rover for my 5.5 y.o golden retriever London. I received updates morning afternoon and night. JoAnn and her husband did a fantastic job watching London and made sure she felt comfortable in their space. They made me feel comfortable prior to dropping her off with them.”

About: As a semi-retired (work from home) animal lover, I have the time, flexibility, and experience to provide exceptional care for your pets. While I'm new to Rover, I'm certainly not new to pet care. I've been caring for dogs and cats for over 50 years—ever since I was 10 years old! NOTE: I go by MEG not Margaret. I offer: * Dog walking * Drop-in visits for dogs and cats * Doggy daycare in your home or mine * Cat daycare in your home * Short-term overnight stays in your home * Long-term boarding in my home for dogs I maintain a clean, comfortable home with a large yard in a quiet neighborhood. Although the yard is not fenced, your pet's safety is always my top priority, and they will be supervised at all times. I also drive a clean, reliable vehicle should your pet need transportation. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply a calm companion, I'll tailor my care to their individual needs and routine. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a beloved family member, and I take that responsibility seriously. When your pet is with me, they'll be treated like one of my own—with love, patience, compassion, and plenty of attention. My goal is to ensure they're safe, happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away, giving you complete peace of mind. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family members. Thank you for considering me for your pet care needs! I am semi-retired working from home. I have a fully flexible schedule. I'm willing to do pick-up and drop-off if necessary. I maintain a large clean home... a calm environment. Your pet can enjoy solitude if needed or is welcome to spend time with my hubby and me in all areas of our home (no children/no pets/no smoking). Alternatively I'm available to stay in your home if that makes your pet more comfortable. I have navigated both scenarios. I'm used to following detailed written instructions so your pet will feel comfortable with their usual routine and expectations. I will maintain contact so you can receive updates and photos. If I am sitting for another pet I would clear it with both families.
“Katie was very welcoming to our two dogs and they seemed very relaxed and comfortable with her and her husband. She sent pictures and was also very accommodating to our last minute change request and then unplanned delay because of car trouble. We would definitely recommend Katie!”

“Melissa was a great sitter for our dog Dusty. She sent pictures and kept us updated. She was flexible when we ended up being later than expected for pick-up. I'm sure Dusty had a great time and we felt comfortable leaving her in good hands. I would definitely call on her services again if and when the time comes.”

“Our dog had a good stay with Laura. She provided update photos of how he was doing and fed him on schedule. He seemed happy and well-taken care of on his return.”

“Monica & Razvan did an outstanding job taking care of our 4 legged child. He has been home a few days now and I think he misses his playmate (their dog). Monica & Razvan are dog people and you know what I mean if you are one too, they know how dogs behave and had no issues with my dog. Wonderful people and we will use them again.”

“Abigail took great care of our pup while we were away! We could tell she has had lots of experience caring for dogs and welcomed our cuddly, spunky girl with open arms. Abigail is extremely responsive with messages, a plus for first time boarders. Would not hesitate to book again.”

“Walter had his second stay with Holly and her family. We received detailed reports and pictures of how he was doing. Holly goes above and beyond in her care for him, even letting him sleep in her bed and putting down extra rugs because he developed a new fear of wood floors. We can’t say enough good things about Holly. We are thankful to have found her and highly recommend her.”

“Maria was wonderful with our puppy. This was the longest we had to leave him, and it was nice to know he was in good hands. I really appreciated the updates and pictures. And he had the best time!”

“Tiffany you're the best. Thanks a million for taking such great care of Leo during our trip. I would definitely recommend Tiffany B. to everyone. If you want your dog spoiled rotten with love and kindness. Then Tiffany B. is the one.❤️”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dexter
Caroline was great. This was our first time boarding at Caroline's and everything went seamlessly. Our dog had a great time and became more social and was happier than at other places where she has boarded. Caroline is easy to reach, very responsible, and on time with everything. We will definitely use Caroline agaiin -- easy, efficient, reliable, and fun.
Zachary was great for the whole experience! It was the first time boarding our new dog, and Zachary came out to meet us and Pepper, answered questions we had, and Pepper seems like he had a great time! Zachary sent pics during our trip, and was fast and easy to communicate with, both leading up to the boarding dates and while we were away. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
