“Andrew and his partner took excellent care of our dog and were very playful with him. Very quick on their responses, easy communication, and responsible. I definitely recommend!”

“Tanu was fantastic with our dog Daisy! She sent updates every day and kept Daisy comfortable and happy throughout her stay. Tanu took Daisy on walks every day and let us know how she was doing with food and water and the weather. We were so impressed and happy that Tanu was able to put our minds at ease and care for our pup in the same way we would. Great experience, we would love to work with Tanu again!”

“Ghost had an amazing time with Mariana! She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and responsive. Mariana provided regular updates and photos, and she even followed Ghost’s puppy schedule perfectly. Anyone would be lucky to have her care for their dog!”

About: My 2 daughters and I are an animal-loving home. We have 2 playful cocker spaniel mixes, 3 dog-friendly cats, and 3 horses (at a barn). I work from home, so can provide constant companionship and supervision. My girls are also home for the summer and love playing with all animals. Our yard is over an acre with an invisible fence. I can provide a dog runner line, a long tie-out, or take your dog out on a leash. I can provide daily walks, including to our neighborhood pond if your dog likes the water. I am happy to accommodate any reasonable pet care requests, whatever they may be. I just ask that your dog be vaccinated and friendly with other dogs and kids.
“Our dog had to get stitches on her paw just a week before her stay with Laura and Manuel, so I let them know about the situation and they were totally on board with following whatever was needed to help her heal. She had a great time as always with the dogs that were there and they did a great job caring for her with her special instructions. I’m so glad we were able to still go on our trip and know she’d be well cared for!”

“Amy did great with Figs. she paid attention to how he reacted with dongdong, and made good modifications. she fed him well and did great with playing and sending cool pics of figgy lounging! love it!”

“Monica and Razvan were awesome. They were very diligent up front, making sure my dog was fully vaccinated and would get along with other dogs; as a result, you can be sure your dog will be safe and happy. They have a great yard for dogs and live near good parks. While our dog stayed with them for a week, they sent plenty of photos and updates. And they were very flexible about drop off and pick up times. I highly recommend them and will use them in the future.”

“Marija is fantastic! We were a little worried leaving Bella for the first time, but Marija was so reassuring. She sent the best daily updates, and seeing Bella so happy in the videos made our trip stress-free. It’s clear Bella loved her stay. We can’t wait to use her services again!”

“Kristi and Jason are both very friendly and welcoming. They took Pebbles into their own home and kept her safe and happy while I was gone for a long weekend. It was great knowing that Pebbles was getting lots of attention, love, and play time with her new dog friend, Oli. Kristi and Jason sent me updates including pictures of them taking her out for a walk, which was very reassuring . I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them!”

“We boarded our dog Bella with Erin over a long weekend; it was Bella's second stay. Bella was very excited when she arrived at Erin's house! Erin sent us lots of photos and updates so we knew Bella was having fun.”

“Laura was an amazing sitter! She watched our corgi for 2 weeks and kept us very informed of how he was doing. Our little guy has a bit of aggression, but Laura is very knowledgeable and she worked with him every day. She also sent us multiple photos along with our updates! I felt our dog was very well cared for and I would definitely book with her again!”

“Kelsey was truly amazing...🤩 Communicating with me throughout my trip. Provided pictures and just kept me comfortable about the decision to drop off my dog. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing a dog sitter. She was Excellent!”

“Aylin was flexible, attentive, and responsive— it was great working with her to watch my big pup Athena. Her location is great and it was awesome that she could tag team watching my pup with her partner. I really appreciated the peace of mind on my long weekend trip.”

“Rachel and her partner are both so wonderful. I don't know what I would without these two. This past time I even had to coax Dodger into the car...that's how much he loves it there.”

“Our experience with JoAnn was exceptional. We just added Moxie to our family and were very nervous about leaving him while we went on vacation. This was our first opportunity utilizing Rover. JoAnn was patient with us as we learned how to navigate the app. From our very first encounter, Moxie's meet-n-greet, JoAnn asked us all the necessary questions to assure she followed Moxie's home routine closely. Prior to taking on any other pets during Moxie's stay, JoAnn scheduled time for the pets to meet which validates her focus was on the health and well-being of both pets. One of our favorite parts of every day was the photos and messages JoAnn sent. He looked like he had an amazing time. Our family would 100% recommend JoAnn to care for your pet. We will definitely reach out again when traveling.”

“Dylan's an awesome sitter! Very conscientious, attentive, and patient with our puppy! He shared great pictures and a video, and his dog was a positive role model as well! Thank you Dylan!”

Caroline is excellent, excellent, excellent. My sweet heeler can be overwhelmed sometimes, but she always runs right to Caroline at drop off, and comes home calm and happy. Caroline regularly updates and her home is immaculate. Such a relief to have found a sitter to trust!

Zachary was great for the whole experience! It was the first time boarding our new dog, and Zachary came out to meet us and Pepper, answered questions we had, and Pepper seems like he had a great time! Zachary sent pics during our trip, and was fast and easy to communicate with, both leading up to the boarding dates and while we were away. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
