“Could not recommend Stephanie & Brenton more!! They took amazing care of our Golden Retriever, Max. We loved getting daily pictures and updates without even having to ask for them. We felt comfortable that he was being loved on and very well taken care of the whole week that we were gone. Would use them again in a heartbeat!”
“Paula was so sweet and welcoming to our dog Bowie. He had a wonderful stay and enjoyed all the adventures. We will definitely book her again the next time we need someone!”

“Renee took very good care of Bean for eleven days while my husband and I took a cruise. It was so nice to know Bean had company and was in good hands while we were away. This was my first experience with boarding a cat and the Rover app was a great help. I searched offers in my area, read Renee’s profile and we exchanged information. Bean enjoyed the meet and greet and that sealed the deal. Renee sent pictures and kept us informed. I highly recommend her service.”

“Alia and Ian are amazing! They take excellent care of my dog with regular walks and playtime. They check-in with me regularly and my dog gets excited when I drop her off.”

“Debbie watched our 14 year old golden retriever Maggie for 11 days. She was great with updated photos of Maggie. Maggie was well cared for and we were very happy with Debbie.”

“Scarlett is always well cared for by Michele. She gave Scarlett her meds, took her on walks, played with her, prepared her food and fed her, sent me photos and gave her plenty of love and affection. Michele is number 1 in my book!”

“Jenna did a wonderful job taking care of my Standard Poodle. After our meet and greet where I met Jenna, her husband and 2 dogs I felt they were an attentive and dog loving and dog centered family. I really appreciated their fenced yard and their flexibility and understanding that my dog was not perfectly trained, she still jumps and does not go for walks calmly. It was clear that Jenna's family was going to provide the same loving attention and lots of activity (playing with their dogs) my dog receives at home. Jenna was responsive when we communicated, she would answer within a few minutes. She sent pictures and updates. I could not have asked for a better sitter for my dog and I will definitely use them again in the future. My dog was happy and well cared for by Jenna!”

“Catherine is amazing! She let us drop him off really early and pick him up really late in order to make flights. She sent pictures daily and even took a first thanksgiving photo for him. We forgot some of his stuff at home but she had everything we would have needed. Would 10/10 book again!!”

“Tracey did an exceptional job taking care of our Bella!!! I felt very comfortable leaving her because Tracey is mature, has so much experience with dogs and is a dog trainer etc. Tracey sent me daily updates with pictures which really helped put my mind at ease and was greatlyappreciated!! She exceeded our expectations and I would definitely recommend her to anyone!!!”

“Laura is awesome. I received pictures daily of m dog while we were gone on vacation. She walked him daily which I know he loved. I would definitely use her again. Thank you so much Laura!!!”

“Jennifer was a fantastic pet sitter! She send daily updates on how Maple was doing like sleeping on her lap ❤️, it was reassuring to read how much she and her family cared. Thanks so much for your kindness 😊”

“Brenda and her husband were the sweetest people that I’ve had watch over my dog due to my trip getting canceled. She kept my dog and took care of her until I had to get back safely. I highly recommend her. She was extremely kind and caring and sent me a lot of pictures and videos and kept me updated.”

About: I just made the compassionate choice to set my dog free from his pain. I was a dad to a 7 1/2 year old Schnauzer mix who was just the best. I used to watch pups for teachers, coaches, and family members before I moved out and got my pup! I’ve watched dogs of all sizes and would love to get to spend time with your pup too. I work a hybrid schedule right now, so I’m usually available around lunch times or in a pinch to go make an appearance for your pup and make sure they’re taken care of. Depending on your needs I can usually be flexible with my time to make things work. My house has a fenced in yard, and I love going outside with dogs to play, throw the ball, or just hang out with them. Wherever I need to be for them, I’m there! They will be able to explore my house, be in furniture.
About: I grew up with dogs and I have owned a dog for 40+years. I raised German Shepard and Pitbulls. Sadly, I lost both my Pitbulls last year. I love to walk dogs and snuggle as well. I am a retired teacher. I am trustworthy and understand the importance of loving and caring for all dogs. I am retired so I have flexibility. I am very busy with my grandchildren, but again, I am flexible. I will keep pets over night. I live in a condo and the community welcomes pets and there are all kinds of breeds. There is a nice grass area to walk the dogs with a lovely paved 1 mile loop to walk through a beautiful community.
About: **Back to My Roots. Back to My Passion!** Former owner of KT Specialty Pet Care, I’m excited to return to what I’ve always loved most—caring for pets. I provide loving, dependable, and personalized care for dogs and cats of all ages, including puppy playtime and socialization, walks and exercise, senior pet care, medication administration, in-home visits, and in-home boarding. I also offer limited grooming services, including bathing, nail trims and more. With many years of experience in the veterinary field, I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets. I’m excited to get back to my roots and my passion for providing the love, attention, and care your pets deserve. I offer flexible pet care options to fit your needs, including morning and evening visits, quick pop-in visits, and walks. I also provide in-home pet care for those who want their furry family members to stay comfortable in their own home, along with limited grooming services such as baths and nail trims. My goal is to provide dependable, loving care while giving you peace of mind knowing your pets are in good hands. My home has a separate, dedicated space where I can comfortably care for, board, and groom your pets. While I have pets of my own, they will never be exposed to your pet, providing a safe and comfortable environment during their stay. I have extensive experience with overnight stays, medication administration, and caring for pets with a variety of needs. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and well-being are my top priorities, and I will provide them with the same love, attention, and care I would want for my own.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brighton
Michael was wonderful with Shenzi and Cosmo! He communicated with us every day and sent pictures and updates, which made it so nice to know they were happy and doing well while we were away. When we picked them up, they were happy, relaxed, and clearly very comfortable with him. They ate well, got plenty of playtime, and his fenced-in yard was perfect for them to run around and enjoy themselves. We felt completely comfortable leaving them in Michael’s care and will definitely use him again. Highly recommend!

We love Seana! Seana is our go-to dog sitter for Oliver. He loves going there and I can relax when I’m on vacation because I know he’s well cared for and has doggie friends, too! Our boy is getting too old for a standard kennel/doggie day care and it gives us peace of mind when he stays with Seana knowing he is treated as one of her own!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
