“Outstanding stay with Ash. Right from the beginning he was great with Ace and safely had him meet another dog he was boarding . Throughout the stay he kept me well informed with pictures and texts , and he constantly took him for walks and provided great care. Would recommend and will use again!”

“Super nice and accommodating pet sitter! This was the first time we had boarded our cat with another cat and everything worked out really well. Would definitely consider Pavlina in the future.”

“Melissa and her family took such great care of my pup while we were away! She adjusted quickly and fit right in. Melissa was good about following Rosie's routine for feeding and sleeping arrangements and sent me cute pics while we were away. I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation because I knew Rosie was in good hands! Melissa was prompt and friendly whenever I sent her a question or info. I highly recommend her watching your pup if you need someone!”

“Coryn was great! She went out of her way to meet with Milagro, and even do a group walk beforehand, to get her comfortable with the transition. She was very accommodating on drop off/pick up as well. Milagro enjoyed her stay very much (especially the trip to the park). Thanks Coryn.”

“Our 2 Labs Eddy and Lola stayed with Dan and his wife this week. The pups were well cared for. Our family greatly appreciates the care for them while we were gone. We received pics and updates to let us know they were enjoying themselves. 5 stars for the excellent care. Thank you! Definitely would recommend Dan to other pet owners needing pet care services. Will utilize his services in the future.”

“Stephanie & Brenton took great care of Baxter, we were away for 2 weeks & during this time they sent pictures of his daily walk & adventures. They are a wonderful family & we felt the love during our meet & greet, we knew Baxter would be very well taken care of, they also take the best pictures! Thank you so much!”

I provide premium, reliable in-home pet care in a safe, structured, and loving environment where your pet is treated like part of the family. Our home is full of life, laughter, playtime, and plenty of attention; perfect for dogs who thrive on companionship. With my medical assisting background, I’m confident administering oral medications, monitoring health needs, and giving that extra TLC. Whether it’s daily walks, play sessions, or just cozy couch cuddles, I’ll keep your pet happy, safe, and entertained while you’re away. Let me give your fur baby the personalized care they deserve in our lively family home. Message me to chat or schedule a meet & greet! I’d love to meet you and your pet! As a stay-at-home mom of three in West Bloomfield, I’m home the majority of the day, which lets me give your pet consistent attention, care, and companionship. Aside from quick school drop-offs and pick-ups, my schedule is very flexible for walks, playtime, or overnight stays. Pets in my care are rarely left alone! Because I’m home most of the day as a homemaker, pets in my care are rarely left alone and always supervised. I follow each pet’s individual routine as closely as possible; including feeding schedules, medication (I’m experienced with oral meds from my medical assisting background), potty breaks, and play. In our lively family home with two friendly dogs (Fluffy & Frankie), your pet will enjoy a safe, loving environment full of structure, affection, and attention. We live on a quiet cul-de-sac with very little traffic, so supervised playtime in the neighborhood (or long 30-foot leash when needed) is a favorite for burning energy safely. I prioritize a calm yet fun atmosphere with constant monitoring.
“Good communication, sent lots of pictures and updates throughout. Helpful and flexible with coordinating drop off and pick up times. Was really good and caring for our dog, who is elderly, needs a little bit extra attention.”

“Kathy was fantastic. We had her watch our pup when we were in town for a wedding. She took time to understand our dog's personality and his particular needs. She send a couple of updates. We were very impressed by her understanding that being away from home and your people can be a little tough on pups. She gave Dooley space and let him warm up to her. Thanks, Kathy. We highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Commerce
Nick did a fantastic job with Sterling. He sent pics and updates, as this was the first time Sterling went to in-home boarding. Sterling by nature is a bit anxious but he seemed relaxed and comfortable with the other dogs. It meant the world to us to know he was in good hands and socializing with some furry friends. We will definitely be using Nick’s services again!

Brenda and her husband Adam were amazing with our pups! My Greater Swiss Mountain Dog can intimidate some people because of his 150 lb size, but they didn’t even bat an eye. And my Havanese became her bff for the week. Brenda works from home and I knew that would be good since they would need extra attention while we were gone. She went out of her way to make them comfortable and help the feel safe. Pictures showed them lounging around just like they were at home. I will definitely book with Brenda again next time!
Shelly was very easy to work with and accommodating with drop off and pick up times due to our kids sports schedules. Right away our dogs seemed comfortable with her and in her home. Yard is secure and dog friendly. This was the first time leaving our dogs with someone who is not family it went great! Shelly treats the dogs in her care as her own.

Melonie took exceptional care of Sasha. She was very communicative and sent plenty of pictures and videos. She was very thorough with walks and paid special attention to Sasha’s vitamins with her meals. This was my first time using Rover and I’m glad I booked with Melonie, highly recommend!

Lola had the best week. Scott is great and so accommodating. Our flight was delayed and we were not able to get Lola until late at night and he was so great about it, even offered to let us pick her up the following day! We wouldn’t leave Lola with anyone else besides Scott. Thank you so much for taking great care of care of her while we were on vacation.
This was our first time using Rover. Alexis was amazing with our puppy! She took her to her family’s Thanksgiving celebration and even took her Black Friday shopping. She sent multiple pictures, videos and updates throughout her stay. She also gave us helpful feedback on some of her behaviors. Nisha came home clean, happy and with two new lab friends! We wouldn’t hesitate to use Alexis again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
