“My girls returned for another stay with LaTash. Once again, they had the best time and were well taken care of. I am so blessed to have found a pet sitter like LaTash. I am extremely comfortable with her taking care of my babies!!!”

“This is my second time boarding my cat with Alisa, and once again, it went great. I really appreciate her care and communication, and her patience when drop-off was a little later than expected ( the cat was hiding under the bed to avoid the carrier, alas!) Clio came home feeling like her normal healthy playful self, and I’m delighted that she has had this safe and trusted place to stay. Thank you!”

“We were so excited to book Cynthia for the long Thanksgiving weekend while we went out of town to see family! We have booked Cynthia multiple times and trust her completely with our pup Sonny! She takes great care to create a warm, interactive, and safe environment and to incorporate Sonny’s normal routine into her space. We love receiving daily updates from Cynthia with the best photos to make us feel assured during our time away. She truly is a Star Sitter! ❤️🐕🐾”

“I had a great experience with Amy as my dog sitter! She took such good care of Snickers and made sure he was happy and comfortable while I was away. I really appreciated how flexible she was with the pick-up and drop-off timings—it made things so much easier for me. Snickers seemed completely at ease with her, and I could tell he was in good hands. I would definitely recommend Amy to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Michelle is awesome! She made me feel very comfortable during our initial meet and greet, and my 7 month old Hound-mix was just smitten. ? Michelle kept in regular contact and sent pictures so I knew my pup was in good hands.”

“We had a great experience with them and we will definitely be using them again! They offer a really welcoming space for your pets and you can tell that they care about every one that they take care of. My dogs stayed with them and I could tell by the pictures they had a great time. They weren't even excited to see us when we picked them up after being gone for a week! I was slightly offended but so happy they enjoyed their stay.”

“Christopher and Cassandra took such great care of our pup Raven! They were great at communicating and sent us photos and videos of her playing and having a great time.”

About: I am a Michigan transplant and an animal person with years of experience, including as petsitter, aquarist, veterinarian technician, field scientist, and farmer. I’ve worked with all creatures great and small, and am uniquely qualified to take care of your fish tank, farm animals, and exotic pets. I am also an avid organic gardener and I love to grow my own food. I own a quaint cottage home with a fully fenced yard. All animals are allowed on the furniture so that they can indulge in the comfort they deserve. I love taking quirky puppy pics in beautiful places while on hikes and adventures. Playing is a great way to establish trust and blow off steam, and I try to capture that on camera as much as possible. I am an outdoor enthusiasts, and when I lived out West I regularly offered "adventure" packages for dogs who benefitted from extended hikes. My own dog Velma is famous on the lake for being my paddleboard companion! I would love the opportunity to work with elderly or disabled animals, and am competent administering medications. It would be my pleasure to get to know your dog, cat, chicken, shrimp, goat, bird, hamster, and any other critters in your family! Feel free to contact me for references and resume. Animal - and seasonally, garden - services are my fulltime occupation, so the care of your furry family member is my top priority. Because I work for myself, I am able to adjust my schedule as needed to accommodate my clients' needs. When staying at a client's home, my practice is to leave it cleaner than when I arrived. I value my clients' trust as one of my greatest assets, and can ensure that your home and property will be respected at all times.
“Stephanie, Brenton and their kids took great care of our boy, Samson. They consistently sent texts and pics to let us know how he was doing. Wonderful family!!”

“Holly was great with our dog Max. We had left Max with Holly for around 18 days. Max was comfortable and enjoyed his stay thoroughly at Holly’s place. Holly would send us daily pictures of Max assuring us that he is having a great time. I would highly recommend Holly & book her as a dog sitter for our dog Max when planning our next vacation.”

“We had such a great first Rover experience with Shannon! She sent updates and pictures of our dog several times a day, and she was professional from start to finish. We’ll definitely call on her again when we need dog-sitting!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life. I grew up on a farm, and at one point we had 12 indoor dogs, from tiny Yorkies to Great Danes. They were never “just pets” to us; they were family, and that’s how I’ve always believed animals should be treated. I’ve also cared for cats and have experience dog sitting, so I’m comfortable looking after pets with different personalities, routines, and needs. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll care for yours the same way I’d care for my own. I take classes two days a week and spend the rest of my time at home, so I have a flexible schedule and can give pets plenty of attention and care. I'm also available most weekends, making it easy to accommodate a variety of pet care needs. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for by following their usual routine as closely as possible. I'll follow all feeding, medication, and exercise instructions provided by the owner and make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I don't have any pets of my own at the moment, so I truly enjoy spending time with animals and giving them the love and companionship they deserve. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
“Nick was great!! We booked an extremely last minute stay on 4th of July weekend for our very big dog. Nick responded promptly and was very accommodating. He sent us daily updates/pictures and was very good to our dog during her stay. 100% recommend and will definitely be booking with him again next time we need a sitter! Thank you so much!”

“Anna and her husband Bobby took GREAT care of my dog, Phoebe. Anna sent pictures each day and let me know things were going well. During the booking and meet and greet process she was communicative and careful to understand how we do things. I was so at peace leaving my dog with Anna and hope to book with her again for future trips!”

“Ana was wonderful for Olaf. She sent pictures, and kept in touch while the kids were missing him. After a long vacation, he was as happy as if we never left. He felt very at home and loved while we were gone.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Bloomfield Township
This was my first time using Rover, and Kathy made this the best experience ever! She is very warm and friendly, and she took wonderful care of my little 14-week-old Cavalier, Mia. Also, she updated me every day with texts and pictures. I'm so lucky to have found an angel to care of Mia while I'm away. I definitely highly recommend Kathy to care for your pets! 🐶🐾🩵🤍

Wish I could give Daniella and her family 10 stars!!! They were just wonderful to our 10 year old Finn who has only been boarded a couple of times in his life and is a pretty spolied guy. They treated Finn just like their own and he even slept on the kid's beds! Very accommodating to last minute drop off changes and giving Finn his meds. Communication was excellent - so appreciated Daniella's daily updates. Lots of walks and play time. Finn slept for 2 days when we brought him home! It was so comforting to be away and not have to worry about him. It was obvious they truly cared for our dog. Highly highly recommend!!

We have had fantastic experiences with Luke! He has taken care of our two dogs and cat for over a week - twice this year. We felt completely at ease the entire time. He clearly spends quality time with the animals—playing with them (they love playing with his dog Rico) & keeping them engaged. Most importantly, our pets came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for, which says everything. Luke is easy to work with—great communication, quick to respond & flexible coordinating drop-off and pick-up. We really appreciated the photo updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We will absolutely book with Luke again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
