“Dellisa sent photos of our dog and let us know how he was doing. She was kind enough to wash his dog bed for us on pick up day. She has a beautiful fenced yard for the dogs to play in. I will definitely send my dog back with her when I go out of town again.”

“Aisha was very professional and always keeping in touch when I call or text! She also sent pics as well. Very nice, House is beautiful and I will be back very soon. Thank you so much”

“Holly & her family are a welcoming home for any pet but for my finicky boy he sure loves it there. We can rest easy while he is there under her care. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Holly. She is so kind and caring. Thank you again for your time and patience with our little troublemaker.”

“Jenna and family were perfect for our Aussilier Charli. We received pictures and updates throughout her 5 day stay. Our Charli came home happy, exhausted and a little more spoiled than she already is! 😊. We definitely recommend Jenna and will use her services again for our next travel.”

“My experience was awesome. This was my first time using Rover and Sogol v made this the best experience ever. She was friendly, showed my pup and myself love. I felt so comfortable because she went above and beyond with her selfless personality. She sent pictures and communicated with me daily. I would recommend her to anyone looking to use this service. You can feel the love she has for animals and people. I can't thank her enough and will use her again.”

“Julie was absolutely fantastic! We had to change our pick up day on 2 different occasions. Not only was she completely accommodating, she took excellent care of our puppy. I'd recommend her to anyone.”

“Joan of Bark stayed with Anna and it was great - sometimes Joan gets nervous and doesn’t eat or drink well, but Joan felt comfortable and was eating all her meals and drinking early in into her stay!! We got tons of pictures and updates which always helps. We would highly recommend Anna!”

“Ana was wonderful for Olaf. She sent pictures, and kept in touch while the kids were missing him. After a long vacation, he was as happy as if we never left. He felt very at home and loved while we were gone.”

“Julie and family were simply amazing! This was our first experience with Rover and we could not have been happier. We’ve never let our dog stay with anyone besides family before but some things came up and we had to find alternative care in a pinch. Julie sent daily photos and updates on our senior dog who was living his best life! Could not recommend her enough!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I cannot recommend Laura enough! From the moment I met her, I knew my pup was in great hands. She took the time to understand my dog's needs and personality, and it was clear that Laura and her entire family genuinely love animals. During their stay, Ruby was treated like royalty! Laura sent me regular updates with adorable photos and messages, which put my mind at ease while I was away. They took Ruby on daily walks, played lots of games, and even taught her a couple new tricks! When I returned, Ruby was happy, healthy, and clearly had a great time. I will definitely be booking with Laura and her services again in the future. Thank you for being such an amazing dog sitter, person and dog mama while I was gone. You Rock Laura!! Thank You”

“We would definitely recommend! I really appreciated the communication we received during booking and later the communication + photos we received during Charlie’s overnight stay. It helped us feel reassured he was in good hands. In all the pics he seemed like he was having a great time. Drop off and pick up was also very smooth. I’ll definitely book again in the future when we need help with dog sitting.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Anjana! She took great care of our dog and kept us updated throughout the stay. We truly appreciated her kindness, reliability, and attention to detail. Highly recommend!”

“Brittnie was great. She communicates all the time and sent plenty of pictures with the updates. I could not have been happier with her service and I highly recommend her.”

Wish I could give Daniella and her family 10 stars!!! They were just wonderful to our 10 year old Finn who has only been boarded a couple of times in his life and is a pretty spolied guy. They treated Finn just like their own and he even slept on the kid's beds! Very accommodating to last minute drop off changes and giving Finn his meds. Communication was excellent - so appreciated Daniella's daily updates. Lots of walks and play time. Finn slept for 2 days when we brought him home! It was so comforting to be away and not have to worry about him. It was obvious they truly cared for our dog. Highly highly recommend!!

We have had fantastic experiences with Luke! He has taken care of our two dogs and cat for over a week - twice this year. We felt completely at ease the entire time. He clearly spends quality time with the animals—playing with them (they love playing with his dog Rico) & keeping them engaged. Most importantly, our pets came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for, which says everything. Luke is easy to work with—great communication, quick to respond & flexible coordinating drop-off and pick-up. We really appreciated the photo updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We will absolutely book with Luke again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
