“Outstanding stay with Ash. Right from the beginning he was great with Ace and safely had him meet another dog he was boarding . Throughout the stay he kept me well informed with pictures and texts , and he constantly took him for walks and provided great care. Would recommend and will use again!”

“Thank you Brit for taking amazing care of my Diesel. I appreciate how Brit personalized care of my almost 15 year old yorkie. The updates were great and allowed Diesel to get his exercise in and make new fur-friends! I will definitely reach out the next time I need boarding for Diesel.”

“Our dog Bear stayed with Dena and her family for the third time, and he had a great time! We will continue to be repeat customers because they are so kind and caring towards our dog. It is helpful to know that while you are gone, your pet is loved and cared for.”

“Tiffany was my main point of contact and she was so sweet and caring with my senior (14yo) husky mix Molly. I received updates each day morning, and night, and she took my Moll Doll on tons of walks. Molly got to sleep on furniture and I can tell she had the time of her life in the new comfy environment. It was such a relief knowing that she was so well loved while I was away that now I feel like I need to take her back for visits to her new favorite home away from home.”

“Kimberly and Charles did a fantastic job taking care of my pup! It was like leaving her with family. Well attended to, plenty of play, plenty of walks, lots of pets and belly rubs!”

“Brenda and her husband were the sweetest people that I’ve had watch over my dog due to my trip getting canceled. She kept my dog and took care of her until I had to get back safely. I highly recommend her. She was extremely kind and caring and sent me a lot of pictures and videos and kept me updated.”

“Daniella and her family were so kind to our older dog, Josh. We had a family wedding out of the country and they took such great care of him. We loved getting the updates every day and meeting this special family! I’d recommend Daniella to anyone needing dog care.”

“Andrew did a fantastic job! After a short adjustment period (he never stayed at a strangers house), my dog really enjoyed the stay. Communication was excellent and I loved receiving morning and evening updates with pictures—it gave me great peace of mind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter!”

“Debbie watched our 14 year old golden retriever Maggie for 11 days. She was great with updated photos of Maggie. Maggie was well cared for and we were very happy with Debbie.”

“Very warm and caring sitter. She messaged me with picture, video's and text updates throughout her time with him. That made my family feel even more comfortable with leaving our Leo. Highly recommend!”

About: Aside from growing up with animals, I have watched pets of friends and family since I was young. I also spent many years nannying kids & family pets. I’m a single mom of my dog-ter Kashi for the past 5.5 years. Being my own boss gives me tons of time and space at home to share my love and care with your beloved animals! I run my own company remotely and make my schedule, giving me tons of time to give love and attention to your pets. I go on multiple walks a day and can keep your pet healthy and active! I have my own space which is already prepped for animals as I have my dog here. I don’t have an enclosed yard but live in a complex with trails and tons of nature. I also have direct ground access on the first floor and a patio space with grass.
“Our dog was spoiled all weekend 😊 Shiyuan sent lots of pictures and updates. Also took our dog on multiple walks and let her lounge on the couch. Definitely going to rebook in the future!”

“Holly is clearly a dog lover - and she pampered our little dog even more than we do! Lots of activity and plenty of cuddles - plus great communication and photos everyday. Thanks Holly.”

“We loved working with Chelsea. Our puppy instantly loved them and seemed happy when we got him back. Chelsea was really good at communicating through out and sent us pics of the dog and other updates.”

“We had a great experience! Odie was well cared for during his two-day stay. We received regular updates and pictures, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Odie looked happy and comfortable. We would definitely book again!”

Makenna watched my pup while we were on vacation for a week. She was prompt in our communications and flexible. Rosie seemed to be well taken care of and I'm sure she loved exploring Makenna's vast backyard. I appreciated the updates and felt like my pup was in good hands!

Thank you Brit for taking amazing care of my Diesel. I appreciate how Brit personalized care of my almost 15 year old yorkie. The updates were great and allowed Diesel to get his exercise in and make new fur-friends! I will definitely reach out the next time I need boarding for Diesel.

Felisha was so kind to take our pup last minute! We appreciated her flexibility and friendliness. She communicated with us in a timely fashion while we were away on our trip. She seemed to know how to read dogs' behavior, and was very attentive to Rosie's needs. My pup even had a built in playmate with Freya 😊. Rosie came home happy and well-cared for. Thank you Felisha!

Karen and her husband were honestly the most kindest people I’ve ever met. My family normally takes our dog Lola everywhere we go but wasn’t allowed to bring her to Florida with us for our daughter soccer tournament so she stayed with Karen for 8 days. I didn’t worry about Lola at all because not only was she happy to be at Karen’s I knew she was completely safe.

Julie and Ari got along great. So did Julie's dog Ernie. Julie was very able to handle our timid dog's special care and meds. Very affectionate w Ari, and sent pictures of Ari's daily life which showed a relaxed dog. She was also accommodating to our schedule needs which changed before the boarding. I felt comfortable w Ari in Julie's care and will not hesitate to hire her again.

She was amazing with my Ivan pup needing a last min sitter for new years eve!! I received multiple pictures throughout the night and next day as well as updates how he was doing! She took him on multiple walks and he actually ate a lot of his food!!! He normally eats almost nothing when we travel with him. The multiple walks wore him out and he's done nothing but nap since we've gotten home with him! I will always use Ivona anytime I'm in the area and need a sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
