“This was my first experience using Rover. What a wonderful experience it was knowing my lil man was very well taken care of in the comfort of a loving home. Will definitely be using Julie again on our next trip. Thank you for taking such great care of Brodi and for all the updates and photos during his stay💙”

“Dena was fantastic! Potter had the best time with her and her family. He played hard and was so well loved during his entire stay. Dena also did a great job with updates and photos which we appreciated so much, as it allowed us to get a glimpse into the amazing time potter was having. I couldn’t recommend her and her family enough! THANKS DENA!”

“Great stay for Kenzy! She took really amazing care of my little man! He really enjoyed himself! She kept me up to date with pics and videos. Since we have been home he misses his interactions with CoCo! I would highly recommend! We will be returning boarders with her!”

“We had such a great first Rover experience with Shannon! She sent updates and pictures of our dog several times a day, and she was professional from start to finish. We’ll definitely call on her again when we need dog-sitting!”

About: I live alone and work from home so I am home every day. I enjoy quiet moments at home, neighborhood walks, gardening and cooking. I have had pets since I was 5 years old. Even though I have a cat she has learned to keep away while I am dog sitting. Your pet will love my semi-private fence. They will be protected by an all enclosed fence but still able to people and dog watch easily. I have a school behind my home with a large playground and creek in the back. I work from home so I will be with your pet all day and have time for breaks to let them out and for several walks. I have an enclosed back yard. They can go back and forth from outside to inside. I have a window to my backyard as I work during the day. Taking walking breaks from work is easy for me.
“Teresa and her family were great! Baguette hadn’t done well at regular doggy daycare so we tried Rover for the first time. They made Baguette feel right at home and helped her adjust. I greatly appreciated Teresa’s communicativeness and kindness. Thank you!”

“Aaron took great care of my pup. Be provided updates and let me know how he was doing whenever I asked. Einstein was provided a safe and secure environment with plenty of space. 10/10.”

About: I've had both cats and dogs as family members for many years. Now I currently love my family and friends' pets as if they were my own. I currently work in the office 4 days per week but can leave after 4 hours and be home around noon. I'm a home body so I'm comfortable snuggling and spending playtime with your pets. I usually watch my friends and family's pets in the comfort of their own homes. I often have their pets at my home as well but usually for short periods, though sometimes overnight. I usually initiate playtime and welcome snuggling.
“Jenna and family were perfect for our Aussilier Charli. We received pictures and updates throughout her 5 day stay. Our Charli came home happy, exhausted and a little more spoiled than she already is! 😊. We definitely recommend Jenna and will use her services again for our next travel.”

“Andrew and his partner took excellent care of our dog and were very playful with him. Very quick on their responses, easy communication, and responsible. I definitely recommend!”

About: I will execute all requests in a timely manner and I am pretty open to what those may be. I am mostly open to house sitting at another home outside of my own however I am open to help with what care needs may be necessary for your four legged friend. I have a 6 year old daughter who loves dogs just as much as me and loves to tag along and is really playful with the pups as well. My schedule is extremely open because I am currently not working but instead doing virtual school from my home. Before moving to the home I am in my daughter and I used to have a dog but unfortunately when we moved we parted ways with him which made my daughter very sad. I am hoping this experience will not only bring joy into my life but into hers as well.
“Matthew was great, he was very accommodating. Our dog had plenty of play time and attention: she went on walks and loved having a fenced in yard to explore. Matthew communicated well with us. He provided plenty of updates and pictures, which we really appreciated this having been our first time using someone for boarding!”

“Michelle was amazing! Both my pups were very comfortable with her immediately! Her home was clean and pet friendly and she was great with sending pictures and updates. I love that her yard is large and fenced in so that they can play outside and not be cooped up! Will definitely be seeing her again for our next trip! This was my first time using a sitter and she definitely put me at ease. My pups came home worn out from fun and I was able to enjoy my time away knowing they were safe.”

About: I’ve taken care of a wide range of pets and have lots of experience. I had cats and dogs growing up and started pet sitting for neighbors and family friends when I was around 12 years old. I am used to taking care of both puppies and kittens along with senior cats and dogs. I have pet sit for animals that require medication and looked after my own dogs post surgery. I have volunteered at shelters/fostered and worked with animals of all temperaments. I just got back from a year abroad and won’t be starting school back up until January so I have lots of time and no set schedule. I often go to the gym Monday and Friday morning and hikes with my mothers dog on the weekends but I’m flexible. I have pet sit and my home and at the clients home and am comfortable with either! My house has a fenced in yard and is close to a park. I have recently taken in my grandfathers elderly cat she’s very quiet and sweet and spends most of her time sleeping in my bed. I also occasionally watch my moms husky mix who loves to play with other dogs.
“Tiffany was my main point of contact and she was so sweet and caring with my senior (14yo) husky mix Molly. I received updates each day morning, and night, and she took my Moll Doll on tons of walks. Molly got to sleep on furniture and I can tell she had the time of her life in the new comfy environment. It was such a relief knowing that she was so well loved while I was away that now I feel like I need to take her back for visits to her new favorite home away from home.”

“Deana and her husband took wonderful care of our dog while we were away! They kept us updated with pictures and messages throughout her stay and made her feel at home. We were grateful to find such a wonderful host for our aging dog!”

“Chris and Cass took great care of our Smokey buddy. They were even willing to give him his daily meds that he needed last minute. We will be booking with them again!”

We can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience! Wally had an amazing time during his stay and was clearly treated like part of the family. He loved exploring their beautiful yard, going on walks, and spending time playing with everyone. We especially appreciated the regular updates and all the fantastic photos—they gave us so much peace of mind and it was obvious that Wally was happy, comfortable, and having a great time. The pictures truly captured how much fun he was having! It’s clear they genuinely care about the dogs they watch, and we are so grateful for the love and attention they gave Wally while we were away. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring pet sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our boy!

Christina took care of our pup for the first time recently. My husband was having a procedure. The time changed and she adjusted her schedule to help us out! Our Pup was a little nervous and timid. She went out of her way to help him relax. She sent pics and kept us informed on how he was doing. He even had a pup cup! I’d recommend Christina to care for your pet. She’s very kind. Responding quickly, and did a wonderful job for us!

Haomin was very kind and helpful in getting the cat sitting service scheduled. We left our shy cat for a week to go on a family vacation and she understood our cats personality and worked with her to make the separation easier. We received daily pictures and updates and our cat looked happy and healthy, which brought a great peace of mind. I would definitely use her again and recommend her to others. Thank you Haomin for taking such great care of Via.

Jacqueline provided exceptional care for Millie and Monty on very short notice, showing outstanding flexibility when we had an unexpected family issue. She arranged a meet-and-greet the day after we reached out online, putting us at ease with her friendly manner and attentiveness. Throughout the stay, Jacqueline kept our dogs comfortable and happy, and we appreciated her warm approach. We highly recommend Jacqueline to anyone searching for a reliable and compassionate caregiver for their furry family members

Vanessa and Dario were warm, caring and loving my cat Foster. They took great care of him, and was obvious he had gotten human attention, quality time and lots of love🐾 Lovely people and cat lovers. Sending updates and photos. They gave Foster space and they won him over to make him feel at home! Thank you!! We’re looking forward to booking again ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
