âLaura and Manuel were perfectly communicative and great with my anxious dog who is wary of new people. She had fun and warmed up quickly to their own dogs!â

âWe love leaving Oakley with Andrew! He is very kind and attentive. Oakley gets so excited when we arrive to Andrewâs house! Would recommend for daycare/boarding. :)â

âMy pup seemed to have a blast with them! I LOVED getting the photo updates and they were very responsive whenever I had questions. Would definitely bring my pup again!â

âDawn was great! We got updated with pictures and video. Bella really enjoyed her time. I highly recommend Dawn and I will be reaching out to her on our next trip away. Thank you, Dawn đžâ

âAndrew was fantastic with our young German Shepherd! He was genuinely excited to care for him, took him on lots of walks and sent me daily updates. This was our dog Grimâs first time away from his home and family for an extended time and I was super nervous at first, but I felt so much better seeing how Grim was well cared for and enjoyed staying at Andrewâs house. I would highly recommend Andrew and would definitely book his services again in the future!â

âWonderful people! I couldnât be happier that I found them. My dog is a rescuer and doesnât like everyone. He immediately loved them and I trust them completely. They give the love and attention pet resorts do not give. I have no interest in even trying another sitter. They are perfect.â

âSuper kind and communicated with an update once a day. Definitely recommend to anyone that needs help with their four-legged family member. We wouldnât hesitate to book with them again for future dog-sitter needs.â

âWatched our dog for the weekend. Had a great experience! Good communication and tons of adorable pics. We would definitely book them again. Thank you, Stephanie and Brenton!!â

I have 12 yearsâ experience with our family dog. Provide attentive, loving care with regular walks, playtime, feeding, fresh water, medication administration if needed, and plenty of supervision. âChristopher and Cassandra have been great for Diesel. They kept us updates about the stay, sending pictures and videos and letting us know how he was settling in as this was our first time with them. They were flexible with drop off and pickup times and will surely have them at the top of our list for next time.â

About: Iâm a retired woman that has 30 years of pet care experience. I have raised two dogs and one cat. I have experience with chow chows, cats, and a west highland terrier. Since I am older now, I prefer smaller dogs that I can control while out on walks. My dog passed away 7 years ago and I miss having an animal around to take care of. My schedule is open for animal care since I am retired. My only commitments are my home duties such as cleaning, cooking, and weekly shopping. For boarding, I offer care in my suburban home. I live in a nice neighborhood with many trails and parks nearby. There is enough room in the house for dogs to move around and run if they need.

About: Iâm a mom and have a grown son which has left me with more time on my hands. Additionally, I am a teacher and have the summer off. I have taken care of dogs for over 25 years. I had a sweet yellow lab named Bella for 16 years and now I have a loving mini-goldendoodle, Lola, who is 5 years-old. I take my mini-goldendoodle, Lola, routinely for walks through our neighborhood, give potty breaks frequently, play fetch, and give belly rubs on demand. :) I am able to care for your sweet fur baby in the same way! I have a fenced-in yard with a large commons area including paths in a wooded area close by. I live in a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood that is enjoyable to walk around in.
âKaren is such a caring person and dog sitter! After our first meet and greet, I knew my dog, Max, would be in great hands and booked his stay. Shortly after that meeting, Max had a major change with his health requiring medication three times a day. Karen didnât hesitate to keep the booking and even contacted me to see how he was doing before his stay. She sent pictures and updates while we were gone. Max always looked relaxed and happy. It was obvious how much he had bonded with Karen when we picked him up. She will take great care of your dog and love him like her own!â

âLindsey was great with our dogs and they loved spending time playing with her kiddos and fur babies! It was our first time leaving our babies behind and it was comforting to know they were safe and happy. We wonât hesitate leaving them with her again!â

âShabad was the best temporary guardian for Judy. Her family, home, and everything else provided a safe space for Judy, and she was able to spend three happy days with Shabad. Thank you once again for your kindness!â

âJulie did a fantastic job with our greyhound Wedge! She took great care of him, and her greyhound Ernie was really great playmate. The communication was really good too, and I appreciated the check in to let us know how he was settling in. Five stars!â

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Plymouth
Absolutely exceptional experience with Holland from start to finish! We loved that it was only one other dog during our dogs stay, and lots of personal attention. The fenced yard was also very nice for our dog. The price is unbeatable and responsiveness was absolutely top tier! We would love to use Holland again in the future!

A last minute cancellation had us in a pinch and this was our first time using Rover. Amanda was great, allowed us to do a meet and greet with our dogs prior to committing. Her communication and responsiveness was fantastic and the daily dog pics gave us peace of mind allowing us to enjoy our vacation. Will definitely use her again.

Karen took excellent care of Cocoa! She is an experienced pet lover, and she radiates warmth and positivity. Karen knew all of the tricks to get Cocoa to eat (sheâs super finicky). She sent us pictures every day, and took extra care to make sure that we were comfortable leaving Cocoa with her. We will 100% book a stay with Karen again.

I boarded my one year old puppy overnight with Jacqueline. What I loved most about my experience was that she sent multiple updates and pictures. Iâve used sitters in the past who would just send one, so getting all the updates made me feel at ease and it was appreciated. I knew when I dropped him off he would be in great hands. When I picked him up, he was whining in the car because he wanted to stay, I could tell he had a ton of fun and was tuckered outâŚ.I will definitely use her again!

5++++ stars!! Stephanie is an absolute joy to have sit for us! She went above and beyond to accommodate for our needs for boarding our particular/senior cats! She is also very communicative and sent amazing updates throughout the day. Even though most cats probably wouldn't enjoy a boarding situation, we could tell our boys had a peaceful and good experience all because of Stephanie's thoughtfulness and experience.

Vanessa and Dario were warm, caring and loving my cat Foster. They took great care of him, and was obvious he had gotten human attention, quality time and lots of loveđž Lovely people and cat lovers. Sending updates and photos. They gave Foster space and they won him over to make him feel at home! Thank you!! Weâre looking forward to booking again â¤ď¸

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Roverâs reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
