“Chris and Cass were great! Very patient, kind and flexible. As sweet as our pitbull is, sometimes it’s hard to find a sitter because of the stigma that surrounds the breed. They even had our back when our flight was cancelled multiple times, forcing us to extend our dog’s stay. I’ll definitely be rebooking with them when needed and highly recommend them.”

“Andrew was fantastic with our two dogs over the holiday. Making sure they had their walks and constant attention gave us so much peace of mind! So thankful for all the love our pups got!”

“Lindsey was wonderful! She took great care of Cosmo, sent pictures every day, played fetch with him, and was happy to let him hang out outside as much as he wanted. She has a great backyard for dogs. We will definitely send Cosmo to Lindsey again!”

“We had a very last minute request for boarding and Kerri was able to accommodate us. It was our first time booking and she kept us updated on how he was doing which helped keep our minds at ease.”

“Glad to have found Mark and Nadine to watch out Corgi while we are away for a week. They were good about communicating on our overnight test run and made sure our dog felt comfortable around the other dogs they watch. After the trial run I feel more comfortable leaving her with them for the week as I am sure they will provide updates and take good care of our dog!”

“We booked an overnight "trial run" to see how comfortable our dog Hobbes would feel in these new surroundings so that we could be comfortable with a lengthier stay later. I could tell Hobbes was cared for well. Looking forward to using them in the future!”

“Rodney took great care of Ozzy over the 4th of July weekend! Ozzy came home completely tuckered out after having a great time playing with another dog Rodney was watching. It’s clear that Rodney genuinely cares about Ozzy, and I felt completely comfortable leaving him in his care. I’d definitely book with Rodney again!”

“This was my first time using Rover. It was a last minute change of plans with my original dog sitting plans. Laura was quick to respond and very accommodating around my extremely hectic schedule. She made it a very simple and smooth process. I was very pleased with her home setup and yard during our meet & greet. I knew my puppy was going to be safe and well looked after. I received lots of pictures and updates which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend Laura to watch your pet, you will be glad you did! I know I was!”

“Tanios did a good job taking of care of my dog for 7 days. I found him to be very intune and attentive to dogs and he appreciated her personality. I sense he is a true dog lover and this is the most important thing to me. My dog was affectionate towards him when I picked her up which made me feel good and know he treated her well. He was good at communicating and sending pictures too.”

“Thank you Jamiee and Matthew for watching my dog Nova for the weekend-- she had a great time! Jaimee and Matthew were great at communication, sending updates/pictures, and overall caretaking.”

“Miranda has been great with my dog Murphy. He can be a handful but she has done great with him and does all she can to care for his needs. She’s also very flexible and great with communication. Would recommend her to anyone!”

“As a first time user of Rover, I was nervous to leave my fur baby with just anyone. I hit the jackpot with Bridget. I set up a meet and greet first. Luna and Betsy hit it off immediately and became BFF's. Bridget stayed connected and sent lots of pictures which I was very grateful to receive since that allowed me to vacation with peace of mind. I will definitely send Luna to Bridget's house again and highly recommend her and her husband.”

About: I’ve had dogs almost my whole life. I am able to administer medication, give baths, take walks and give all the belly rubs needed. My goal one day is to foster dogs and cats, caring for your fur baby will give me all the experience I need to care for other animals until I have the space to do it. I just love them all! I generally work from home with a very lenient schedule. My kids are all grown and out of the house leaving me with a lot of free time. I just have one dog and one cat, but I would love to love more!! I do not have a fenced yard so I would be walking your dog for potty breaks. I do have a crate I can use in home if needed. For doggy day care we would schedule a meet and greet beforehand. I am available almost anytime for walks and feeding if necessary. For cats I am available for feeding and litter box cleaning.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who genuinely believes pets are family. I have three cats of my own, and I previously had a German Shepherd who I cared for throughout his life. I’ve also fostered dogs through a local shelter, giving me experience with dogs of different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs, including walks, playtime, feeding, crate routines, litter box care, basic training, and plenty of cuddles. I’m also happy to follow your pet’s specific routine, whether they’re energetic and playful or prefer a quiet afternoon lounging on the couch. I’m patient with shy or nervous pets and never want an animal to feel rushed or uncomfortable. I take the time to let them warm up to me and pay attention to their individual behaviors and preferences. When you’re away, my goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, loved, and thoroughly spoiled. 🐾 I’m available for pet care primarily in the evenings and on weekends. I work during the day Monday through Friday, but I’m happy to provide evening walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, and overnight care. Chelsea was great with my boy. He is a little quirky so she did a meet and greet beforehand and put my mind at ease that he would be fine. He was well taken care of and I saw photos and got updates every day. Ty Chelsea for giving us peace of mind so we could enjoy our vacation with no worries for him!

Kimberly and Charles were the sweetest! Our dog Bobi was a little nervous at the beginning and I was worried he wouldn’t adapt well, but by the second day he became comfortable with them and you can just tell that they’re the kind of people animals feel safe to gravitate towards. Without a doubt I would leave Bobi in their care again!

I am so thankful for the care that Beth provided for my baby boy, Maxwell. She went above and beyond in caring for him. She spoiled him rotten! I'm sure he misses her and her home. She took him for multiple daily walks and that's not an easy task! He loves to sniff everything. She cared for him like he was hers. I definitely recommend Beth for your fur baby!

Second time booking with Dawn. She has taken such great care of my dog. When we first pulled up to her house my dog was squeaking and crying to go inside. It was very nice to know that my dog was so excited to be back with Dawn and it made me feel good knowing she was happy and cared for while I was away.

I can’t thank you enough for helping me last minute watching Chelsea last week. The energy of your person and your home space is so grounding and calming was the immediate presence that I was relieved with upon meeting you. I needed my baby somewhere safe and peaceful and you provided that thank you beautiful human would love to work with you again! Tipped you in cash.

Rodney took great care of Ozzy over the 4th of July weekend! Ozzy came home completely tuckered out after having a great time playing with another dog Rodney was watching. It’s clear that Rodney genuinely cares about Ozzy, and I felt completely comfortable leaving him in his care. I’d definitely book with Rodney again!

Allison took wonderful care of Ollie. We had him at Allsion’s place for six days and she send us photos, videos and update. She was kind enough to give some of her dogs toys and treats to Ollie. From the photos she shared, we could feel he was happy and comfortable. The most special things Allison did for us was to have his paw painted (pet friendly paint) and framed. This was truly a sweet gesture and the perfect gift for his one year birthday. Allison was also truly professional during the whole boarding process. We will definitely recommend Allison as a star sitter.

4th time having Rebecca and her family watch our precious precious pup and we are still pleased. Our dog Captain looks like he has an amazing fun time. He is usually exhausted by the time we bring him home because of all the play time he gets with her dog! Never worry about dropping him off with Rebecca and her family because I know he is in good hands as he jumps out of the car races to her door in excitement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
