“Susan was great to communicate with and easy to work with. Even when unexpected things came up, she was upfront and worked out a good situation for our dog. She was also flexible with pickup when our flight was an hour delayed getting back.”

“Dia was great with our pup, from the time we connected for a meet and greet we felt comfortable. Dia provided great communication and photos throughout our dog's stay. We certainly will entrust her with our fur baby again!”

“Kerri did a great job watching Bella. We always miss her when she is away, but knowing she was in a kind home made us rested.Kerri gave us daily texts and pictures. We will definitely be taking Bella back.”

“Faith and her family were lovely to deal with, and our Zoey sure enjoyed staying with them!! Great communication. Sadly, for us, we aren't in this area often, so we're not sure when we'll be able to have Faith keep Zoey for us again! Definitely recommend!”

“This was my first time using Rover. It was a last minute change of plans with my original dog sitting plans. Laura was quick to respond and very accommodating around my extremely hectic schedule. She made it a very simple and smooth process. I was very pleased with her home setup and yard during our meet & greet. I knew my puppy was going to be safe and well looked after. I received lots of pictures and updates which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend Laura to watch your pet, you will be glad you did! I know I was!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Anjana! She took great care of our dog and kept us updated throughout the stay. We truly appreciated her kindness, reliability, and attention to detail. Highly recommend!”

“We booked an overnight "trial run" to see how comfortable our dog Hobbes would feel in these new surroundings so that we could be comfortable with a lengthier stay later. I could tell Hobbes was cared for well. Looking forward to using them in the future!”

“Wiley boarded for 5 days, had a great time. Being with other dogs was great. We’re very happy with his care and his stay. Definitely recommend and definitely will book again.”

“Megan did a great job taking care of my baby while I was gone on a vacation for the long weekend. I received daily updates, pictures and videos of my dog playing with her puppy. She also bathed him and kept him in comfort during the Father’s Day fireworks. I am beyond impressed, thankful and appreciative to her love towards the fur babies!!”

“This was our first time using Maureen to care for our Bella and we were very pleased with the care she received. She took such great care of her and treated her like her own. She sent updates and photos of their time together and we felt very comfortable leaving Bella with her. As much as Bella was excited to see us upon our return to pick her up, she was equally excited to return inside the house to give Maureen kisses as we were leaving. Maureen is a great caregiver if you're looking for someone to board your dog or for daycare and walks.”

“Matthew and Jamiee were awesome! I left my two dogs with them overnight since we were gone all day for a wedding. They gave me periodic updates and my dogs had a blast with their three dogs. Would highly recommend them and if we ever in town and need a sitter they will be our go-to!”

“Megan was the best! We received multiple daily updates of Max while away on our trip. Max had the best time, going for walks, eating doggy ice cream and even getting a bath. I definitely recommend leaving your babies with Megan!”

About: I have had a dog my whole life until our dog passed away. I have decided to care for other people’s dogs to help fill the void of ours. We are empty nesters who would love the companionship of an animal to snuggle and care for. We love to walk and go to parks which we will do for your fur baby. I work 7 am to 6 pm but come home during the day for lunch so your fur baby will be able to go outside a few times a day. Also, home in the evenings and weekends if you were to choose us to care for your dog. We have a fenced in yard and plenty of grass to run on. Our home is not huge but we allow dogs to roam and if a kennel is needed we would ask you to bring yours to our house so the dog has a familiar place to go. We are loving dog people.
“Molly loves going to Mark and Nadine's, and we love sending her there. Mark and Nadine are very easy to work with. They spoil Molly with love and treat her as part of the family. They are our go to sitter. We highly recommend them!”

About: Hey fur baby parents! My name is Jaylin, I am 22 years old and a mother to two boys. I am an animal lover! I have grown up with dogs all my life. I have had a few pets of my own that were fosters from the shelter. I have experience with high anxiety dogs. I am very outgoing and love doing activities and going for walks. Im a stay at home mom so I am home all the time. I have lots of time for playing and walking with the pets. I have a fenced in play yard at the back of my apartment complex. I offer treats for good behavior and I also have two young boys with lots of energy so if your pup is high energy they have a couple friends to play with.
“They were very friendly and able to keep up woth 2 big high energy dogs. When I went to pick them up I almost had to drag one home because she felt like a pretty princess staying there. Would definitely use again.”

“Tiffany was my main point of contact and she was so sweet and caring with my senior (14yo) husky mix Molly. I received updates each day morning, and night, and she took my Moll Doll on tons of walks. Molly got to sleep on furniture and I can tell she had the time of her life in the new comfy environment. It was such a relief knowing that she was so well loved while I was away that now I feel like I need to take her back for visits to her new favorite home away from home.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Westland
Allison took wonderful care of Ollie. We had him at Allsion’s place for six days and she send us photos, videos and update. She was kind enough to give some of her dogs toys and treats to Ollie. From the photos she shared, we could feel he was happy and comfortable. The most special things Allison did for us was to have his paw painted (pet friendly paint) and framed. This was truly a sweet gesture and the perfect gift for his one year birthday. Allison was also truly professional during the whole boarding process. We will definitely recommend Allison as a star sitter.

4th time having Rebecca and her family watch our precious precious pup and we are still pleased. Our dog Captain looks like he has an amazing fun time. He is usually exhausted by the time we bring him home because of all the play time he gets with her dog! Never worry about dropping him off with Rebecca and her family because I know he is in good hands as he jumps out of the car races to her door in excitement.
Kelly was extremely responsive and very caring to our special two-year-old Golden boy. He loved Kelly’s huge fenced-in yard and he felt so happy and cozy hanging out with Kelly at home! We are so grateful to have met Kelly and to be able to rely on her for the utmost care of Romeo!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
