“Absolutely fantastic family for Lucci, I hope Karen and family are available when needed. They are always my 1st choice above all others. I can’t ask for anyone better.”

“Amie was amazing for our Bellamy! I could always count on detailed daily reports and pictures. I knew he was being cared for and loved just as at home. And playing with her dogs and family made him so happy! I think he already misses being at their house. 🥲”

“Brian had a great time staying with Nadine and her own dog. Plenty of walks and play. She kept me updated with many photos and videos. We will definitely book Nadine & Mark again.”

“LaTasha is very pleasant and was a joy to leave my pet with. She shared updates regularly, as requested and I look forward to Pepper staying with her again someday.”

“Booked with Steven for a week long boarding booking while I went out of state. He was super quick to respond to my questions and I felt my dog was well taken care of! He even made new friends while boarding. He’ll definitely be my go-to for boarding. Thanks, Steven!”

“I trusted Megan with my 4 year old Maltese with my whole heart! She’s tidy, stays in touch throughout the day by sending pictures and updates, and because she has regular little dogs who she sits frequently. Meelo enjoyed his stay even more, he got tonnes and play time and walks. I’ll definitely be booking again. Thank you Megan!”

“Ms. Beverly was awesome with everything, from when I first sent her a request about keeping my dogs ,the meet and greet, keeping me updated with videos and pictures, everything ran just so smooth with her and I didn't worry about my dogs at all and was able to enjoy my trip. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER”

“Enaes did a fantastic job handling my very nervous pooch and was very flexible when I was stuck out of town due to the weather. She provided updates and I felt comfortable having Pheo in her care.”

“Meredith was the best pet sitter I could have asked for. She was so sweet with my dogs and kept me updated with lots of videos and photos. You can tell how much she loves animals and it felt like she treated my pups as her own. Will absolutely be using her in the future!!”

“Wonderful people! I couldn’t be happier that I found them. My dog is a rescuer and doesn’t like everyone. He immediately loved them and I trust them completely. They give the love and attention pet resorts do not give. I have no interest in even trying another sitter. They are perfect.”

“Lauren and Kevin & their lil nephew were loving to Lola. I glad she was comfortable in their home with their own pets. I always worry about that because Lola is use to being the only dog in the house. Upon pick up Kevin said they really loved having her and said she was really good so I was so relieved to hear that when you are leaving your pet with new people for 7 days. Thank you again for all the love and care you provided Lola while we were away!”

“Bridget and her husband were wonderful to my nephew Nestle. I felt he’d be safe as soon as I walked in. She gave me advice on training him. He found a new friend in Betsy. I’ll use them in the future and appreciate them for treating him good.”

“Lindsey was an incredibly caring and loving caregiver for my senior pug. She thoughtfully updated us with pictures and updates while we were away and she was very flexible with pickup and drop off times. So happy we found her. ♡”

Shiyuan is my legal name and super hard to pronounce but I can teach you to pronounce it if you want. I’m working hybrid (90% from home) currently and have plenty of time to play with your pets it would be my pleasure to pet walk/sit your pet soon! If I am in office/ unavailable at times during your house sitting/ dog walking session, I will ask my boyfriend Tanner to sit for your pet/ be my helper. “Susan did a fantastic job watching our GSP, Missy. Missy is a little anxious & nervous, and Susan knew just how to handle her. Susan provided frequent updates and pictures which assured us she was in good hands. In addition, Susan was graciously flexible with drop off and pickup times since we were working around our DTW flights. Thank you so much Susan! We will definitely consider you again for watching our Missy!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dearborn Heights
Kerri was great. She sent a video everyday and each time, my dog seemed happy and well taken care of. She has a large, fenced backyard with plenty of room for the dogs to run and play. She was very responsive and offered a chance to visit before booking to see where she keeps the dogs.

They were recommended to us by a previous guest. We did an overnight stay to test run a longer trip in the future. She was very communicative, receptive, and sent pictures and pupdates without me asking. Definitely recommened if you are looking for a comfortable stay for your pet!

Adam was great with Luce and she seemed very comfortable with him. He went above and beyond to ensure she got plenty of outdoor time and playtime. He was able to accommodate her for boarding on short notice (day before) which we really appreciated. He was also very attentive to her individual needs, including giving her space when she preferred not to interact with his dog and allowing her to enjoy some independent play with toys. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend Adam!

Demi was absolutely amazing! She was very professional, caring, and went above and beyond while watching my pet. She kept me updated throughout the stay with pictures and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear my pet was surrounded by a loving family who helped provide plenty of care and attention. I could tell my pet was treated like family, and I truly appreciated the love and dedication. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!

Megan was an amazing dog sitter. She checked in with me regularly and kept me updated throughout my trip. I truly appreciated that her top priority was making sure my dog was comfortable, which gave me peace of mind during my vacation. Knowing that Bacon was well cared for and comfortable allowed me to fully enjoy my time away. I will definitely book with her again for my next trip and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.

This is the second time Finley was taken care of by Leslie. She sends updates and pictures of our Yorkie to us so we won’t worry about him. He is happy and comfortable staying with her. If we need a sitter for Finley in the future we know we can trust her to care for him.

Everything was amazing! Joanne is so amazing with everything and I know that my fur baby is in the best hands whenever she is watching him. The updates with pics and videos is so great to get when away and lets me know with certainty that our pup is doing well and having a good time. Thank you again for an amazing stay!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
