“I checked out other sitters and Kerri was the best fit for my fur baby Prince. I appreciate how she is with him and she treats him like a prince. Kerri is very friendly and professional. Thank you Kerri for looking after my fur baby.”
“I can’t say enough good and positive things about the care Little Bear receives when he’s with Sheila and Keith! Little Bear has the best time when he’s visiting and is always comfortable while he’s away from home.”

“Megan and Milo were great hosts to my Bentley for a few hours. We had great communication throughout the visit and Bentley came home happy and sleepy. Definitely will be booking again. Thank you!”

About: I have been an animal lover my entire life and had dogs in my own home for 10+ years. I have had experience ranging from raising and training puppies to caring for senior dogs with special needs such as blindness and diabetes. I work remotely from my home and will make sure your pet has all the attention that they need. While I have your pet I will ensure they are only left alone briefly for necessary errands. I have a fenced backyard and one well mannered if energetic pup. Your dog will receive as much love and care as my own. From snuggles on the couch to long walks around the neighborhood and games of fetch in the back yard.
About: I started dog sitting when I was a young teenager, but I didn’t have my own dog until 2019. Since then I’ve been able to watch friends and family members dogs. I used Rover services for my own dog and realized it would be fun to care for others’ pets and provide play dates for my dog at the same time. I work from home Monday-Friday and we’re typically home on weekends. My dog is friendly and happy to play with others or relax all day. We have a fenced in yard and are very focused on safety. We have plenty of sidewalks to take walks on. I allow dogs on furniture and have plenty of dog beds and toys.
About: After recently losing our two beloved fur babies back-to-back due to old age, our home has felt much quieter. We truly miss the love, companionship, and joy that pets bring each day, and we would be honored to care for your furry family members as if they were our own. Because I’m home full-time, your pets will receive plenty of attention, supervision, snuggles, and personalized care throughout the day. From hourly potty breaks and daily walks to playtime, cuddles, and a calm, loving environment, their comfort and happiness are my top priority. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I promise to provide a safe, loving home where they’ll feel welcomed, cared for, and treated like family every step of the way. I do work from home so I’m able to provide multiple breaks at all times of the day! If your pet is on a certain schedule please let me know. Your pup is my pup when in my care! They’re allowed to lounge on furniture and cuddle with me! They’ll feel right at home. Your pet will feel loved!
“Leslie was great! If you're visiting Dearborn to see the sites, definitely leave your dog with her. Pick up and drop off were so easy and less than a mile from the museum gate. She sent photos and kept our dog happy and loved while we explored.”
About: My husband Kyle and I have had dogs our whole life and have always enjoyed spending time with them as well as training them. We currently have a cat and a fox red lab who is very loving, incredibly smart, and well trained. We also take care of dogs for family members when they are on vacation or at work for an extended period of time. I am a stay at home mom currently. I just had a baby in November 2022 and I’m looking to make some extra income for our family. I am home all day and have a half an acre fenced in yard for the pups to run around and play. When my husband is off work, he loves to play with the dogs and help train them. We have a fenced in yard to play in and go potty. We also have a very friendly Labrador retriever dog who could keep your dog company or if preferred we have enough space to separate them in the house or a large crate for your dog if that’s what is preferred as well. Whatever makes you most comfortable as a dog mama or dad is what we will do to best take care of your furry friend.

“Anthony was great. We did a meet and greet and when I dropped her off the day, he sent me lots of pictures to reassure me Tilly was content and safe. He took her for walks and spoiled her. I plan to use him again. 5 stars.”

“Thank you, Muna! Bentley really enjoyed his visit. Pics and video showed that he minimal anxiety and was very comfortable in your home. When I picked him up, he acted like I had just come home and not panting, glassy-eyed and frantic. He was happy and I thank and appreciate you for the care you provided him.”

“Had a great 1st time visit with Karen. My dog Zoe has some anxiety but I noticed right away that she seemed comfortable in Karen's home. She spent the day with Karen. I got a photo and a nice update during the day . When I picked Zoe up she was happy to see me and was very content. In the past when I boarded her she came home and seemed very nervous for a while but staying with Karen for the day she seemed very much at ease. I am very happy to have found Karen and I feel comfortable trusting her with fur baby.”

“Tiffany and Steven watched my Great Dane puppy this time and gave him so much love! He can be a real handful and I needed some space to get my home ready to sell. They treated him like their own and sent so many cute pics. He got to go on lots of walks, have the bed to himself (and the humans) , and got to play with all the toys he could find. Otto had a blast. I cant recommend them enough. Thank you guys so much!”

About: If i had 100 fenced acres i would probably have 100 dogs. First hand experience with Golden Retrievers, Boxers, Dobermans, Cocker Spaniels, Labrador Retrievers, Schnauzers, Irish Wolf Hounds, Terriers and Yorkies. I periodically raise and train Golden Retrievers for Leaderdogs for the Blind. If i am completely blocked off for a couple weeks i am probably hosting a leaderdog puppy for another raiser that is on a vacation. I have a lot of repeat customers and look forward to seeing their dogs get excited when they pull into my driveway. It would be tough but if i had to pick the breed i couldn't live without i would put Goldens at the top. Even though i don't let any dogs on my bed i’m known for sleeping on the floor in the living-room with the dogs.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
