Motown Pups — All Love, All Animals

Hi there! I'm Dana — Novi local, lifelong dog lover, and basically fluent in dog. With 9 years on Rover and a lifetime of dogs before that, I've built real experience across all sizes and temperaments. As a teenager I took on the daily responsibility of managing a severely diabetic dog — insulin schedules, diet, monitoring and all. That experience taught me that real pet care goes way beyond walks and cuddles. I've been looking for a way to make animal care an official part of my life ever since, and Rover has been the perfect fit. George (a havapoo with love to spare) and Frida (a chiweenie with very strong opinions) are my two little co-workers — they've made our home a very dog-friendly place, so your pup will feel right at home from the moment they arrive. My son Odie rounds out our crew, and yes, he is also a big fan of the dogs (all of them, not just ours). Whether you're a fellow Novi neighbor or just nearby, I'd love to meet your pup and show you what The Motown Pups team is all about. Send me a message and let's set up a meet and greet! Hope to see you soon! Dana, Odie, George, and Frida The Motown Pups team

Dana was very responsive and Georgie really seemed to enjoy his playmate “George”. I also appreciated how flexible she was from a scheduling perspective. Highly recommend.

Safety, trust & environment

🐾 Motown Pups — Where Every Pet is Family Trust and safety are everything to me — and I don't take that lightly. As a social worker with over 15 years of experience, I've spent my career showing up for others in their most vulnerable moments. That same attentiveness, calm, and genuine care is exactly what I bring to every pet in my home. I notice things. I advocate. I take it seriously. Your baby is safe with me — not because I say so, but because it's simply who I am. Your dog will have full access to our home in a warm, calm environment with consistent structure. Meals are served at regular times, outdoor time is supervised on leash with nearby parks and the Novi Dog Park just 6 minutes away, and evenings end with a family walk. Crating is never used unless it is already part of your dog's normal routine at home. My two resident dogs — Frida, our dignified 14 year old chiweenie, and George, our friendly 9 year old havapoo — make wonderful housemates. George will personally welcome your pup to the family 💙 Frida simply requests that her personal space be respected, which we always make sure of. Every dog in my home is treated like family. Because for the time they're here, they are. 🐾

Pets

A typical day

Your dog will be fully integrated into our family routine — and honestly? They usually settle right in. We love fetch, tug, and long walks, and when the weather is nice we try to spend as much time outside as possible. For pups who love to run and play with other dogs, the Novi Dog Park is just 6 minutes away! 🎉 A typical day looks something like this: 🍳 Breakfast at a consistent time daily — we work around your dog's existing schedule whenever possible ☀️ Outdoor time and play throughout the day, all supervised on leash 🚶 Evening family walk after dinner — one of our favorite parts of the day 🌙 Bedtime wherever your pup is most comfortable, including our bed if they'd like 🥹 Your dog has free roam of our home and will never be crated unless that is already part of their normal routine at home. And you'll never be left wondering how it's going — by the end of each day you'll receive a detailed note and photos of all the activities and routes we explored together. 📱💙

The more I know about your pup ahead of time, the better I can make their stay! During our meet and greet please share: 🧸 **Favorites** — toys, activities, anything that makes their tail wag 🍽️ **Diet & allergies** — any special dietary requirements or food sensitivities 💊 **Health needs** — medications, conditions, or anything I should monitor 🧠 **Behavioral notes** — fear of thunder, food territoriality, nervousness around new people — no judgment, just want to be prepared! **About our meet and greet for boarding:** You are welcome to come to our home for our first visit, or we can meet in the community or at your home — whatever makes you most comfortable! Plan for about 30 minutes. We like to have the dogs meet on neutral territory on leash first, take a brief walk together, and then head back for a tour of the house. It's a little extra time upfront but it makes for a much smoother, more peaceful stay for everyone 💙 If you decide to board with us, we'll send you home with some information to help us plan your stay — please bring it back with you at drop off! **For boarding stays of 4 nights or more, we require a complimentary trial daycare visit of 2—4 hours prior to the stay.** This is completely free and gives your pup a chance to get comfortable in our home before committing to a longer stay — and gives us a chance to make sure we're the perfect fit for each other. A happy trial means a smooth stress free boarding experience! 🐾 📋 Please make sure your vet and emergency contact information is updated on your Rover profile, or leave it for me in a note before your stay begins. It's always better to have it and not need it! 💙
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
