Hi, I’m Veronica! I’m new to Rover, but I’ve been pet sitting for over 9 years. I grew up with rescue dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I have extensive experience with senior dogs, special-needs pets, and medical care, including dogs who are blind or deaf, have arthritis, hip or elbow dysplasia, entropion/cherry eye, kennel cough, and those recovering from surgery. I’m very comfortable with routine care like cleaning facial folds, tail pockets, ears, and paws, as well as administering medications such as gabapentin, carprofen, fluoxetine, trazodone, and amoxicillin. Friends and family describe me as the person who will skip any social plan for an animal—and they’re not wrong. While in school, I volunteered with Buckeye Bulldog Rescue in Columbus, OH, and I adopted my English bulldog, Trudee (pictured), who sadly passed away in August 2025. She taught me everything about patience, consistency, and loving dogs with extra needs. I’m currently studying for the July Bar Exam and am an active volunteer with Bottle Babies Rescue in Plymouth, MI. I’m very active (10–12k steps a day minimum!) and love spending time outside, so walks, enrichment, and routine are always a priority. I’ve been pescatarian for 9 years and was involved in Animal Law Society, reflecting my long-standing commitment to animal welfare. I always send plenty of photos and updates, and I truly treat every pet as if they were my own. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities. 🐾
