“Theresa and Adrian were so loving and responsible. They were very good at sending daily updates and photos. And Jerry came home very happy so I know he had a great time. I would definitely recommend them and book them for Jerry’s future stay.”

“My 2 babies had their first visit with Dawn this past weekend. She sent several updates to let me know how they were doing, along with pictures when she could snap them (they hate pictures but she manages to get a few so I know she must of put a lot of effort into it ?). They both seemed relaxed and happy when I picked them up, as well as tired that evening so I know they got a lot of attention and play time while in her care. Very happy with her service!”
“Dianne and Judy once again did amazingly taking care of our little man when we’re away. Great communication and quick response which are so important for my peace of mind. Highly recommend!”

“Brenda is awesome. We were hesitant to leave our Millie for so long but Brenda made us feel comfortable right away. She and her hubby took great care of her. Millie gets along well with her dog, too.”

“I was nervous because this was the first time I'd left Picasso with someone he didn't know. Ekow was extremely kind and sent updates of a happy dog daily, which made me feel much better. We've found a new sitter and I will definitely be reaching out anytime we need a sitter. Five stars!!”

About: I am a Michigan transplant and an animal person with years of experience, including as petsitter, aquarist, veterinarian technician, field scientist, and farmer. I’ve worked with all creatures great and small, and am uniquely qualified to take care of your fish tank, farm animals, and exotic pets. I am also an avid organic gardener and I love to grow my own food. I own a quaint cottage home with a fully fenced yard. All animals are allowed on the furniture so that they can indulge in the comfort they deserve. I love taking quirky puppy pics in beautiful places while on hikes and adventures. Playing is a great way to establish trust and blow off steam, and I try to capture that on camera as much as possible. I am an outdoor enthusiasts, and when I lived out West I regularly offered "adventure" packages for dogs who benefitted from extended hikes. My own dog Velma is famous on the lake for being my paddleboard companion! I would love the opportunity to work with elderly or disabled animals, and am competent administering medications. It would be my pleasure to get to know your dog, cat, chicken, shrimp, goat, bird, hamster, and any other critters in your family! Feel free to contact me for references and resume. Animal - and seasonally, garden - services are my fulltime occupation, so the care of your furry family member is my top priority. Because I work for myself, I am able to adjust my schedule as needed to accommodate my clients' needs. When staying at a client's home, my practice is to leave it cleaner than when I arrived. I value my clients' trust as one of my greatest assets, and can ensure that your home and property will be respected at all times.
“We had great experience with Kadi. She is very loving and caring person. Our dog Milo enjoyed at her place and was very happy as he got friends there to play with ( Kadi’s 2 dogs) . She kept sending updates and pics. She followed all the instructions perfectly. We love her.”

“I appreciated the great care and daily updates for our cat Doja. I also appreciated that Audrey was so responsive. Communication was great. Already planning to book another stay!”

“Angelina and her family looked after our Bailey over the past month while we were traveling. As always, they went above and beyond in their care. We received lots of photos and updates throughout Bailey’s stay, which put our minds at ease. It’s clear that Bailey feels really comfortable and enjoys her time with Angelina and her family, including her own dogs. We can’t thank her enough!”

“my dogs must have enjoyed it because they didn’t act any different getting in the car and going home. They barely missed us. I can tell this family enjoyed taking care of my dogs and I was able to enjoy my time away knowing they were in good hands.”

“Kelsey was great! She was really attentive to Archie’s unique needs and made an extra effort to make sure archie was comfortable while I was away. She is watching him again in a week and the trust I have in her makes getting ready for my trip stress-free.”

She sent regular updates, photos, and gave so much love and attention to my Dixie —it was clear she genuinely care about dogs. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for dogs and a tidy space. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking with Carolina again!”

“Michelle was amazing! Both my pups were very comfortable with her immediately! Her home was clean and pet friendly and she was great with sending pictures and updates. I love that her yard is large and fenced in so that they can play outside and not be cooped up! Will definitely be seeing her again for our next trip! This was my first time using a sitter and she definitely put me at ease. My pups came home worn out from fun and I was able to enjoy my time away knowing they were safe.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bingham Farms
Hannah was absolutely AMAZING with our 2 high energy boys! It was my first time using a rover sitter & I would bring my babies back to Hannah 100 times over. She was so kind & understanding and I could tell she really listened to every thing I told her. Bleu is typically nervous around men so I wasn’t sure how he would be in a house with a man, but Hannah’s fiance was an ADDED BONUS! He and Bleu played every day & just loved eachother. Their kind & calm energy was apparent the second we stepped into their home to pick up our boys- my pets were so freaking calm and relaxed and it put any guilt I had at ease! I will be using a sitter more often now that I know how amazing she will be to my boys!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
