“Erica takes great care of beau. Communicates great and very trustworthy with dogs. I feel super comfortable having her walk beau while I'm at work. She's been nothing but wonderful and accommodating even under short notice. Highly recommend!”

I truly love animals and treat every pet like family, providing them with the patience, attention, love, and care they deserve. About: I have taken care of many different cats and dogs since I was around 10. Many of my neighbors ask me to watch and walk their pets while they are on vacation. I have taken care of my family dog for the past 10 years. I work overnights Thursday through Monday so I am available during the day until 5pm. On weekends I’m usually available 11-8pm. I love to take a break from my regular job to spend time with animals. I will make sure to follow any instructions you leave for the safety of your pet. I always listen to a dog or cat’s body language to endure I am meeting their needs.
About: With years of hands-on experience in dog care, I bring expert-level knowledge, love, and dedication to every pet I watch over. Whether your pup needs a reliable sitter, a playful companion, or special attention, I provide top-tier care tailored to their unique needs. “My pup loved Sarah! She was very accommodating with my changing schedule and very communicative. Made my day receiving the pictures of his walks and just how overjoyed he was. Recommend Sarah to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy person who genuinely cares about your pet. 10/10!”

“Ashley is very reliable and flexible when needed. She is accommodating with our constant change of schedule. Not only that but she is great with our dogs. If you’re looking for a trusted dog walker Ashley is the one.”

About: I’ve had multiple dogs throughout my life and currently have one border collie at home. I’m used to 1+ hour walks multiple times a day (as needed), lots and lots of engaged playtime, and work to put furry family members first! 🐕 🐾 I’m a college student that is currently on summer break; as such, I have a very flexible schedule at the moment (mornings, afternoons, evenings, etc) I make sure keep doors open/headphones off when at home/while dogsitting so that animals don’t have to work to get my attention when they need it—I aim for at least two long walks a day with my high energy dog, with shorter potty breaks interspersed during the day. I understand the importance of accurate portion control for pets and make it a point to keep animals healthy with accurate meal sizes and monitor their water intake throughout the day.
“Thank you for your help this week! Buster and Bette were in good hands and had lots of fun on their walks all week. Mikayla was energized and friendly and so easy to work with, I really appreciated it and the pups loved it.”

“Alexis was super flexible and helpful for a last minute request. She was kind and followed instructions for getting into the house/with Goose without any issues. Would recommend her if you’re looking for your pup to be in good hands!!”

“This has been my first experience with a dog walker. Lizzi has been AMAZING!!! It is such peace of mind knowing your pet is being cared for by someone who loves animals! Thank you Lizzi!!!”

“Max was great with my German Shepherd, Breezy. My boy can be alot lol, and many people can't handle larger energetic breeds, but Max won him over and seemed to walk him with ease. Breezy was returned happy and tired, which was my goal while I was working. Communication with Max was positive and clear from the start. I recommend!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
