About: I would love to watch your animals while you are away, take them on walks and/or play with them while you are at work! I have my own mutt, who is 6 or so, and my parents have a 9 year old mini labradoodle and they both love other dogs. If your pets get along with dogs I can include my pup on play dates and house sitting or I can leave her with my family, so we have just one on one time with your furry loved ones. I can also make sure your pet is bathed if needed and happy to help take them to vet appointments or grooming appointments if you would like. Does your dog love car rides? I’m happy to take them on car rides! I have been told I have an unique way of getting along with all dogs, no matter what the temperament, so please feel free to contact me for any of your pet care needs! View my pet sitting Instagram cocos_pet_sitting I work from 6:30 or 7 until about 2, I drive a lot of work so I can stop in for lunch most days. “Max was great with my German Shepherd, Breezy. My boy can be alot lol, and many people can't handle larger energetic breeds, but Max won him over and seemed to walk him with ease. Breezy was returned happy and tired, which was my goal while I was working. Communication with Max was positive and clear from the start. I recommend!”

“Samantha takes such good care of our dog. She is very reliable, professional and caring. We know Maggie is in good hands during the bookings. We cannot recommend Samantha enough!”

About: I have been lucky enough to have cared for dogs from all ages, breeds, and walks of life. From raising my own since they were puppies, to caring for them to the end of their lives, I have always put their physical and emotional well-being first. While I have had many pets myself- hamsters, rabbits, fish, and birds- my dogs have been my favorite, and dog-sitting for my friends has been a highlight for me, especially since my soul-dog died last year. I have experience working with puppies all the way through senior pups, and I look forward to taking care of YOUR pet(s), so that you can have peace of mind while you have to be away from them. Right now I'm looking for life to slow down a bit, so at the moment, I am completely invested in pet care. I am hoping to build relationships with new families, and become YOUR favorite caregiver! I do have a commitment in Detroit from 10:15am-2pm on Sundays, but am happy to drive to your home and back to ensure continuous care. I cannot do overnights at homes where people smoke inside. I treat clients' pets and homes like they are my own- with the utmost love and care! I remain in specified areas, am quiet and respectful, and ensure the safety of all pets. I'm attentive to the needs of the family, especially any dietary restrictions of the pet(s).

“Hi highly recommend Greg! I was fortunate enough to not only book him last minute so my pup could get in a walk, but also able to do so on New Years Eve. My pup was obviously quite fond of him because he didn't want to stop playing with Greg once he brought him back home from the walk, and he continued to bring over one toy after the next to show him. I look forward to booking him again in the near future.”

“Bridget was so amazing. She took such great care of my dog and took her out on fun walks. She sent photos of my dog on her walk letting me know how she was doing. Each time I returned home I could tell my dog was in a happy mood from her walk. Definitely recommend Bridget to take great care of your furry friend!”
“Nelly was great! Took good care of my 50lb dog on a few walks, and flexibly added another day after my trip was extended. Communication was friendly and concise. Strongly recommend.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 10 years, starting as a teenager when I began pet sitting for family friends and neighbors, and I’ve loved it ever since. My primary experience is caring for dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, from energetic puppies and playful kittens to senior pets who need a slower, more gentle routine. I treat every dog and cat in my care like they’re my own, focusing on their comfort, safety, and happiness while you’re away. I tailor care to each pet’s needs, whether that means walks, playtime, enrichment, structured routines, or quiet companionship. I also have experience administering oral medications and injections when needed. I have additional hands-on experience with small pets and other animals, including birds and reptiles, which has strengthened my overall understanding of animal behavior and care. No matter the pet, I provide reliable, attentive care so they feel secure and well cared for in your absence. I’m currently a teacher on summer break and looking forward to spending my days doing something I truly enjoy—caring for animals! My schedule is very flexible, allowing me to provide attentive, consistent pet care throughout the day. I provide care exclusively in clients’ homes so pets can remain in their familiar, comfortable environment. I prioritize maintaining their normal routines and creating a calm, low-stress presence, and I aim to be as unobtrusive as possible in the home so pets feel safe and at ease while their owners are away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
