“My husband and I met Yvette at Pet Supplies Plus in Royal Oak, on our way to see Santa. I had never heard of Dog Vacay before and we happend to have just found ourselves in a situation where we were leaving for vacation soon and our dogsitter was unable to take care of our Izzo. From day 1, Yvette was thorough, making sure we completed the right steps on time and making sure she knew what we needed from her when taking care of our fur-son. While on vacation, Yvette sent me daily updates letting me know Izzo was doing great. This allowed me to enjoy my vacation without worrying about our fur-baby. Before our vacation, I mentioned to Yvette that Izzo's nose gets very dry (due to a condition he has) and we sometimes put vasoline on his nose; we told her she did not need to put vasoline on his nose, but could if she would like. She went above and beyond; when we picked Izzo up from Yvette's, his nose looked the best it has in a long time- she must have put vasoline on his nose at least once a day. On New Year's Eve, there were people around us letting off fireworks. I immediatly texted Yvette asking that she put Izzo's thundershirt on him if there were fireworks going off around her house (our pup gets very anxious with fireworks and paces, shakes and pants). She texted me back a bit later saying that once she heard the fireworks, she put Izzo's thundershirt on him, put jazz music on the TV and laid with him. This really proved how much she cares for each dog and knew what to do to meet his needs. Izzo is also a picky eater and Yvette made sure he ate and handfed him when needed. We were very happy with the care Yvette provided for our pup for the whole week!”

About: I am an animal lover with years of experience taking care of my own dogs and my friends’ many pets. I love to take long walks or sit and hang with animals if that’s what your pets need. I have had dogs in the house since I was a baby, most of which have been large high-energy dogs, so I can handle the big loud pups. My most recent pet was a high-needs senior dog, so I understand the anxiety that comes along with leaving your pet in the care of someone else. I am happy to take care of any special needs and send updates/pictures to ease your mind. I have a soft spot for seniors. In the summer I work from home on weekdays. I have some flexibility when it comes to being able to take longer breaks as long as I can get all my work time in. I have lots of flexibility during weeknights and weekends! My home: I have a great home for dogs, with lots of open space and a fenced back yard. Since I work from home, I would be able to keep an eye on your pets all day long. I have a partner who is home most weeknights and weekdays as well. We recently lost our senior dog and we would love to fill our house with wags and barks again. Clients home: I have lots of experience pet sitting at friends’ homes, so I can adapt to whatever you need at your home. I am very flexible so if you’re curious about how often I can come over or anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.
