It was nice to see the vids and to see him have a good time. I took him there 3 days in a row and each time he would get excited as we pulled up to her house which made me feel good. About: Ever since I was a kid, I've had love and fascination for all kinds of animals - including dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, crickets, even fishflies! I understood from a young age that each living creature has a place and a purpose on this planet, and that it's our job as humans to respect them. My experience with pet care first began with a family goldfish, and eventually a couple of parakeets. I quickly learned that there are responsibilities that come with not only physically taking care of a pet, but tending to their emotional needs as well. In 2018, I started taking care of my loved ones' pets when they were out of town or just needed a little extra help - ranging from my brother's dog to my best friend's cat. I have devoted my attention in these situations to ensuring that the pets are well fed and hydrated, they've received appropriate stimuli from either walks or playtime, and that they've received extra snuggles (if they want them!) I understand that it's also important to take care of the pets' owners as well, so I've prided myself in being an excellent communicator. In 2021, a sweet little peanut came into my life - a smushy-faced, Shar Pei mutt named Mischief. He has lived up to his name, but in a good way! We have spent the past four years munching on carrots (his favorite), going on long walks at the park, and burying ourselves under the covers on rainy days. He has made me a very happy dog mom, and from the very beginning we have had a special emotional bond that still amazes me to this day. In short, I have had quite a few years of experience with taking care of pets, and I have proven myself to be communicative and reliable. I have a big heart for all creatures, big & small, and I have more than enough love to go around! I work remotely and I live in a walkable area, so whether I am needed for a quick walk/drop-in while the pet owner is out of the house or at work, I have ample time throughout the day to take care of the pet. For any new pet, I understand that a bit of acclimation is necessary to gain the pet's trust. If the owner would like, I can meet the pet ahead of time to determine its temperance level and I'll respect any special needs that the pet has. I will cater my behavior and energy level towards the pet so that it doesn't become overwhelmed. I also have the strength and endurance to take pets for long walks and maintain good leash control. Lastly, I know a number of First Aid / CPR tactics for both dogs & cats alike, and I have the aptitude to learn anything else that is necessary for the pet's care.

About: I have owned dozens of dogs and cats since I was young and into my adulthood. I love animals and have been called very reliable and dependable. I work very hard to make sure animals feel loved and safe in any environment. I am comfortable giving animals daily medications and any special attention they may need. I am looking to pick up work to get some time outside more and make some extra money for school. I have always had a pet in the house! Growing up I had a cat and a dog that I was responsible for. I’ve lived with dogs recently, and I currently have my own cat. Unfortunately, I am not able to offer boarding or care at my current apartment, but I am happy to do overnight stays if needed in the client’s home. I have a pretty flexible schedule because I work full-time online so if I needed to work from a clients house or take my lunch break to do a dog walk all of these options are very easy for me to navigate. I would like to do a few dog walks or pet check ins a week, including weekdays or weekends and potentially an overnight once or twice a month . I will not be having pets at my home, but I am very mindful of pet safety whether that be on a walk or at a client’s house. I will ensure to know the temperament of the animal before I arrive. If the animal is afraid of me, I will contact the owner and reevaluate the situation so as to not add additional stress on the animal. As a general rule of thumb when walking a dog if another dog is approaching us, I will cross the street and I always make sure that if I am taking the dog out outside, they are on a leash or in a fenced in area.

Caring for a senior dog is very challenging and exhausting but Rahied made this stay so pleasant for my baby. Feed her by hand, let her drink from her bowl by hand, held her when she cried, administered her medication and so much more😫 I felt so comfortable leaving my baby with him, my spirit told me HE was the one & my spirit does NOT LIE! “This was my first time using Rover, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Leaving my dog for a week while I was on vacation was a little nerve-wracking, but Cody immediately put me at ease. From our first interaction, it was clear that he is very experienced with dogs and genuinely enjoys caring for them. I have a high-energy Border Collie/Aussie mix, and he handled him wonderfully. He got plenty of attention, exercise, and care, and I could tell he was comfortable and happy during his stay. I also really appreciated was the regular updates and photos he sent throughout the week. It was so reassuring to see how he was doing and know he was in good hands. “Mariana was amazing!! Super communicative from meet-and-greet planning all the way through the end of the stay. Her and her husband made our dog feel right at home and provided consistent photos and updates. Our guy can be a bit of a challenge because of his dog/skateboarder/biker reactivity, but Mariana made us feel totally at ease and comfortable. We could tell he had a great weekend and even gave Mariana goodbye kisses when we came to pick him up--this is a first for him! Highly highly recommend--we will definitely be contacting Mariana again.”
“Kara was able to accommodate my dog Dobby on really short notice. My dog has really bad separation anxiety and Kara let him sleep in bed with her *cue tears*. Kara was super quick to respond with updates and sent pics. Both Kara and her dog Nellie were welcoming and made him feel so comfortable. Nellie and Dobby played and had so much fun I think he was a little sad when we got home. :P 10/10 would book with Kara and Nellie again!”
“We had the best experience possible boarding our rescue dog Maisie with Sam. She gave her so much love and attention! She also carefully followed all our instructions about medications, feeding, and behavioral issues. We received daily updates and cute photos. Sam is so knowledgeable about canine behavior and even did some training with Maisie. We felt so confident that our dog was in excellent hands and could enjoy our trip without any worries.”
