“Rachel is amazing. She took great care of my Hobey who is a goldendoodle. I knew upon meeting her that she took this would be a great experience for Hobey. She provided videos throughout the day that showed Hobey playing with other dogs, doing tasks that would merit him a treat, and relaxing after some playtime in the backyard. It was nice to see the vids and to see him have a good time. I took him there 3 days in a row and each time he would get excited as we pulled up to her house which made me feel good. I could tell he had an active day when I picked him up cause we would get home and I would feed him and he would sleep for the rest of the night. I was only in Michigan for a week but I will be back to visit family and I will always use Rachel.”

About: I grew up with dogs and have helped potty train them. I love to cuddle and play with dogs. An added bonus is my son who is 14 loves dogs. They will be able to give all the kisses if that's their thing. I work from home so they will always have company and also have the availability to go out when needed. I stay in a quite neighborhood with sidewalks so when we go on walks they will be safe. Pets will have access to the whole home. No worries. There are no toxic plants or other toxic products that they will be able to get into. This will be a nice safe haven, like a second home to them.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. I’ve been a dog/cat/house sitter before on and off especially during covid. I love long walks, play time and cuddles. Making your pet happy would make me happy too. I miss living at home with family pet. Currently I work part time as hairstylist working on building there clientele. I would be availbe for morning and late walks during my working days . On my days off I will have way more availability even mid day availablity for walks. House sitting nights can vary a little depending on my schedule but am pretty flexible. My house is not available for sitting. When staying at your place I will let dog/cat out into back yard leashed if no fence. Even if there is a fence I will be there watching the dog/cat. When comming in and leaving the house I will lock all doors for mine and pets safety. I will follow any other instructions of home owner .

I am looking to pick up work to get some time outside more and make some extra money for school. I have always had a pet in the house! Growing up I had a cat and a dog that I was responsible for. I’ve lived with dogs recently, and I currently have my own cat. Unfortunately, I am not able to offer boarding or care at my current apartment, but I am happy to do overnight stays if needed in the client’s home. I have a pretty flexible schedule because I work full-time online so if I needed to work from a clients house or take my lunch break to do a dog walk all of these options are very easy for me to navigate. I would like to do a few dog walks or pet check ins a week, including weekdays or weekends and potentially an overnight once or twice a month . I will not be having pets at my home, but I am very mindful of pet safety whether that be on a walk or at a client’s house. I will ensure to know the temperament of the animal before I arrive. If the animal is afraid of me, I will contact the owner and reevaluate the situation so as to not add additional stress on the animal. As a general rule of thumb when walking a dog if another dog is approaching us, I will cross the street and I always make sure that if I am taking the dog out outside, they are on a leash or in a fenced in area.

I understand how your dog is truly another member of your family and would care for him like a member of my own. Being a RETIRED teacher, my availability is ideal - I’m almost always home...especially for summer vacations! We are up early and I am home most of the day. On the weekends you’ll also usually find me spending time with my family and sometimes at the ballpark . But your pet will have company often. My home is located in Huntington Woods which is a wonderful city to walk your dog around. I look forward to meeting your pup and offering excellent care while you are away for work or play. I am up early for quick walks and potty breaks. My husband leaves much later or sometimes works from home, so another morning potty break is a definite. I’m usually home because I’m now retired! We are a home body family by nature, so we give plenty of attention to our guest dogs. We had a very small dog ourselves (Harley passed 3/13/23), so our yard is very carefully fenced to make sure there are no escape routes😂 Our children are older as well, so toys and snacks are not all over the floor anymore.
