About: Hello! My pet experience consists of having my own doggy for the past 20 years. I rescued my older dog and then got a new puppy. My old Rose passed away but I had to give her eye medication and oral medication everyday so I am comfortable with that. I also grew up with family dogs and cared for those dogs. My availability to watch your dog is very flexible. I work from home a most days a week so it is a high chance that I could work from home while caring for your pup. I am a very caring person. I have a PhD in human development and family science and work in the social work field. I have a giant heart and would love to care for your doggie! As a stay-at-home worker, pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent attention, timely feedings, regular potty breaks, and plenty of play and cuddle time. My flexible schedule means I can easily accommodate pets’ needs, whether that’s sticking to a specific routine or being available for spontaneous walks and care. Being home also helps me monitor behavior closely and respond quickly to any changes, making pets feel secure, loved, and well looked after. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment tailored to each animal’s needs. In my home, pets have access to cozy rest areas, regular outdoor time, and plenty of affection and play throughout the day. I maintain a calm, clean space and follow any routines or special instructions provided. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and stick closely to the pet’s established schedule to minimize stress. I provide regular updates, ensure fresh food and water, maintain cleanliness, and give each pet the love and attention they’re used to.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages since I was young. Friends, family and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, cuddle and care for their pets like they’re my own. I’m patient, attentive and experienced with puppies, senior dogs and pets who need a little extra comfort and reassurance. Your pet’s safety, happiness and routine will always be my top priorities. I have a flexible schedule and enjoy making time for pet care throughout the week. Whether your pet needs walks, drop-ins, overnight care or extra attention while you’re away, I’m happy to help provide a calm, loving and reliable environment. I understand how important consistency and communication are, and I’ll always keep you updated while your pet is in my care. I provide a safe, calm and loving environment where dogs are treated like family. I prioritize trust, communication, clean spaces and attentive care so pets feel secure, comfortable and happy while you’re away.

“Enaes did a fantastic job handling my very nervous pooch and was very flexible when I was stuck out of town due to the weather. She provided updates and I felt comfortable having Pheo in her care.”

“Rachel took such amazing care of our 7 month old puppy, Bonnie! Her videos were detailed about how she was doing and what activities they would be doing for that day. I never worried about how she was doing because Rachel was so communicative. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is going out of town for dog boarding!”

“Our dogs had a great time with Shree and her dog Zusa. She made us feel comfortable and at ease with all the update videos and great communication. Our dogs were treated as if they were parts of her family. Definitely recommend Shree!”

“Rebecca has been the best boarder/care taker of my dogs that I've been fortunate to have found over the past 6 years on Rover. She and her family too excellent care of my two dogs while I was out of the country for 10 days, and even threw a birthday party for one of my dogs, on her birthday, while I was out. Communication with Rebecca was perfect, and I feel grateful to have found her; would highly recommend.”

“Yvette not only takes great care of our dogs, she sends updates and truly cares about them. The photos she sends helps me to relax on vacation knowing my pups are happy.”

“Abby did a great job taking care of my german shepherd/mastiff. He felt comfortable, enjoyed exploring their house and backyard! He got to go on walks and get attention while we were out of town for the weekend.”

“Gillian was so great with Oliver. She was easy to communicate with and so welcoming. I felt comfortable leaving Oliver with her for the first time. Gillian provided updates and pictures throughout his stay. We look forward to booking with her again! 🐾”

About: I am an animal lover with years of experience taking care of my own dogs and my friends’ many pets. I love to take long walks or sit and hang with animals if that’s what your pets need. I have had dogs in the house since I was a baby, most of which have been large high-energy dogs, so I can handle the big loud pups. My most recent pet was a high-needs senior dog, so I understand the anxiety that comes along with leaving your pet in the care of someone else. I am happy to take care of any special needs and send updates/pictures to ease your mind. I have a soft spot for seniors. In the summer I work from home on weekdays. I have some flexibility when it comes to being able to take longer breaks as long as I can get all my work time in. I have lots of flexibility during weeknights and weekends! My home: I have a great home for dogs, with lots of open space and a fenced back yard. Since I work from home, I would be able to keep an eye on your pets all day long. I have a partner who is home most weeknights and weekdays as well. We recently lost our senior dog and we would love to fill our house with wags and barks again. Clients home: I have lots of experience pet sitting at friends’ homes, so I can adapt to whatever you need at your home. I am very flexible so if you’re curious about how often I can come over or anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.
“I am very thankful for Tanuja for taking my Lucy on a last minute request to board. She was so flexible and very accomodating and it was a very pleasant dealing with her. On the day of boarding she will give constant updates, she will send plenty of pictures (great pics of Lucy together with their cute dog Mochi). Her husband Kumar helps her out with the doggies and they treat your dog like their own. They are not only great dog sitters but also really nice persons. I will definitely have them take care of my Lucy if the need arises . I would highly recommend Tanuja and Kumar (plus Mochi) to take care of your fur baby.”

“Jess was awesome! She gave me all the info on how things would go while my dog was in her care. She sent me daily updates and alerted me of any issues. We discussed how things went overall when I picked my dog up, and he had a great time. Jess communicates well and I will definitely be asking her to watch my dog again.”

“Megan and her boys were amazing with my older pup, Brady! They gave him tons of cuddles and walks and frankly spoiled him. Megan is very communicative and sends tons of updates and photos. Thank you!”

“This was our first time boarding with Kara and it went fabulously! Rosie appeared happy and well cared for and Kara seemed so pleased with Rosie. Communication was easy as well as drop off and pick up. We will be booking again!”

“Every cell of concern and worry about leaving my dog for the first time for a few days with A C. was immediately removed with their kindness, concern, attention to details and constant pictures, communications and videos during his time with them. He arrived home well exercised, calm and cared for! I recommend them highly and will use them many times! again!”

Kadi was amazing! She took the very best care of our precious pups, Walter and Dolly, and they loved her! She was great about communicating and sent adorable pictures every day - they always looked so happy! I will definitely be using Kadi again in the future when we travel.

Hannah did a fantastic job watching our dogs this weekend. She kept us updated throughout their stay with messages and photos, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our dogs were well cared for and comfortable, and they absolutely loved their time with her.

Nathan was absolutely fantastic with our three kitties for their short stay at his house. He was extremely friendly, attentive, and has extensive experience caring for cats. Our cats had a dedicated room at his house with enough space to sleep, play, eat, drink, and a window to look outside. This was our first time having our cats boarded at someone’s house and I was a little nervous beforehand, but instantly felt at ease once meeting Nathan and seeing where the cats would be staying. He also provided plenty of pictures and updates throughout the stay. Overall, very happy with the care and attention our cats received. I would 100% board my cats with Nathan again and recommend him to friends and family!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
