“Enaes did a fantastic job handling my very nervous pooch and was very flexible when I was stuck out of town due to the weather. She provided updates and I felt comfortable having Pheo in her care.”

“Jess is wonderful. I have engaged her twice to board my American Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Both times issues arose, one was a health issue and another where my flight was cancelled and I needed extra days of care. She cheerfully accommodated the situation and put my mind at ease during a stressful time. She takes great care of Halle, who is a rescue and can be reactive towards other dogs. I usually have to give a lot of instructions for sitters, but not so much with Jess, she just knows what to do. I especially noticed that Halle was more relaxed after staying with Jess. Now that she is used to her, I feel really comfortable leaving Halle with Jess.”

“Jill took such good care of my dog on his visit to her home. We had contacted her a couple of days prior to her watching him and she was really responsive, accommodating and attentive to him while he was injured in a cone and administered his meds and provided extra care. We will definitely be coming back to Jill! Thanks so much!”

“This is the 5th time Rahied watched Cobra for at least a week each time and every time he goes above and beyond! I absolutely love his family as well! They treats him like he's their pet! I hope they continue to be available for him because I can't imagine trying to find anyone better! 🥰🤗”

“Phoebe had the best weekend with Eriann! It’s never easy leaving your dog with someone new, but she immediately made me feel comfortable and treated Phoebe like one of her own. She kept me updated, was so thoughtful and caring, and Phoebe clearly had the best time hanging with her sweet dog George too. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and pays attention to the little things. So grateful we found her!”

“Lauren was absolutely amazing with our cats Kota & Keanu. She made sure to give us plenty of picture updates and was very attentive while we were away for the weekend. This was our first time boarding our cats at someone’s home and we were definitely very happy we chose Lauren for them to stay with. She will definitely be our go-to from now on for any future trips! Thank you again Laura, Kota & Keanu can’t wait for their next stay!”

“Sogol just watched our senior dog for six nights while we were on vacation. She was extremely helpful from the moment we reached out and kept us informed with messages and photos throughout the stay. She is very personable and warm and has a clear love for animals. We will absolutely use her again in the future!”

“Kristen was great! It was our very first time leaving Cash with someone. Kristen kept us updated and sent lots of pics. Cash seemed to have a great stay! Thank you Kristen!”

“Anna did a great job was little Maizie, she is only 7lbs, but Anna’s Ruby was so sweet to her 🥰 Anna was really attentive to Maizie’s eating habits - she is a picky eater and was able to eat her full meal by day two, would love to rebook with Anna again.”

“Kira's been our rover since we moved to Detroit, and our dog's hung out with her and her dog many times at this point. Our dog clearly loves staying over, which is rare for her, and it speaks to Kira's ability to care for animals and be responsible and present. Will continue to trust her with my dog for as long as she's willing!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Highland Park
Could not be happier with our experience with Emily and Jason!!! Completely professional, warm and friendly with the whole experience. We started with a casual meet and greet to ensure her baby Larry and my babies would get along ok. Then during their stay she sent us tons of updates and photos every day. My dogs came home so happy. Truly the best experience we have ever had on Rover. She even sent them home with little treats and a hand written card. Will absolutely be a repeat customer, couldn’t recommend them more!
Another great stay with Sofia! She took wonderful care of Oakley for a short overnight, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. I appreciated her communication and the care she gave my girl. It’s such a relief to know Oakley is in good hands when I’m away. I’d happily book Sofia again!

There is not enough I can say about Shayla! She was very good with Cleo. I am very pleased with Shayla and how she took care of Cleo this past week. I would book her again when it's needed. I almost hated to separate the both of them :-) . Once again thank you so much for everything

10/10 he took Evie in on a few days prior, that right there is enough for me, he sent beautiful pictures of my Evie. Not only that but Ekow is able to take care of hyper active dogs, who need to do alot, and sometimes have trouble listening. That is what you call a sitter, will definitely book with him again!!

Yelitsa did such a wonderful job with our dog Mia! I received so many updates, at least 2 a day. She did well with administering my dog’s daily medication and keeping up with our regular feeding schedule in her home. Overall, my dog looked super happy every day and Yelitsa went above and beyond with exercise, treats and play time. We will definitely be booking with her again and I’d recommend her to anyone in need of pet sitting!

Kira's been our rover since we moved to Detroit, and our dog's hung out with her and her dog many times at this point. Our dog clearly loves staying over, which is rare for her, and it speaks to Kira's ability to care for animals and be responsible and present. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
