“Katherine was an amazing dog sitter! She was incredibly attentive and truly went above and beyond to make sure my dog was happy, safe, and comfortable while I was on vacation. She took him on regular walks, kept me updated with pictures and videos, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. The sweetest surprise was that she even celebrated his birthday with pupcakes! It was clear that she treated him like one of her own. I highly recommend Katherine to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and thoughtful pet sitter.”

“Juahn was so good to my Teddy and took pictures and sent me updates over the phone. He assured me there was nothing to be concerned about and I felt calm knowing Teddy was well cared for.”

“Catherine was very good to Mojo! It’s always a little nerve wracking to leave your pup at a new place for the first time, but Catherine made my dog feel right at home. I would definitely use her again for dog sitting.”

“Dawn was able to watch Rose for us last minute and really made our weekend! She kept us informed of how Rose was doing and it was overall a great experience. We have already rebooked with Dawn for next month!”
About: I have been rescuing dogs for almost 2 decades. Needless to say, I love dogs. I currently have a great Pyrenees and she would love Company. I work 100% remote from home., my yard has a 6 foot privacy fence am I Home is very dog friendly. I am also experienced in taking care of diabetic dogs, including testing and injections twice a day, monitoring food and making sure that all the dogs under my hair get daily walks, and lots of love. I work 100% remote. My day doesn’t start until nine, which allows me to spend time in the morning either playing with the dogs going for walks. I live in a very dog friendly neighborhood around those days that the weather doesn’t permit us to go out I have what we call beauty time.. I walk my dog every evening for at least 30 minutes and if the day is nice, we try to get some time in during lunch as well My house and backyard are very pet friendly. I am not someone who gets upset if there’s an accident after all they’re pets, stuff’s gonna happen. I have a 6 foot privacy fence in my backyard. My dog prefers to sleep outside, but for the dogs that I’m sitting I prefer they be inside with me.
“Amanda was awesome! Our dog had a wonderful time! She sent updates and was available and responsive. He’s and energetic pup and he loved having a playmate and a fenced in yard to run around as well as daily walks. I would highly recommend her and we are planning on using her again in the future!”

“Dawn took fantastic care of my baby! She came home beautifully tired out from playing with Dawn's own fur babies. Dawn provided informative daily updates that kept my mind completely at ease. I highly recommend her!”

“Shree was a total Gem her and Raul treated Zou like family ! My heart was filled with joy on the way they cared for him . The videos and messages were just enough to keep us engaged on his progress during his stay! He’s a puppy and still in the baby stages which is a lot but they managed him so well!”

“Great communication and wobderful with my dog, Stella. It's clear when I pick her up based on her relaxed temperament for at least the following day that she got to play and run off some energy. Highly recommend!”

“Eriann was excellent - kind, accommodating, and communicative. She was LUCKILY available last minute and even administered eyedrops to our pup, which we were so grateful for. Our dog got along with her dog very well (the best photos to prove) which was a bonus - we'll definitely be contacting Eriann for any dog-sitting needs in the future :)”

“Charlie was well taken care of and Craig was great with him. He took him for long walks and played with him as well as updating me with a picture. I will definitely use him again.”

“Could not be happier with our experience with Emily and Jason!!! Completely professional, warm and friendly with the whole experience. We started with a casual meet and greet to ensure her baby Larry and my babies would get along ok. Then during their stay she sent us tons of updates and photos every day. My dogs came home so happy. Truly the best experience we have ever had on Rover. She even sent them home with little treats and a hand written card. Will absolutely be a repeat customer, couldn’t recommend them more!”
“Lindsay has cared for my 3 dogs a few times now and she is amazing. I cannot say enough how wonderful she is. She is very thorough and attentive to my pets. My dogs just love her and get super excited to see her. When one of my pets needed medications and picky with taking them she was accommodating. One of my dogs is more shy and one more timid. She was super great with all my pets personalities. Id trust her with my pets as if shes a member of my family. She is the absolute best, very knowledgeable, a lot of experience, very thorough, and sends updates and lots of photos daily.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Warren
There is not enough I can say about Shayla! She was very good with Cleo. I am very pleased with Shayla and how she took care of Cleo this past week. I would book her again when it's needed. I almost hated to separate the both of them :-) . Once again thank you so much for everything

Sarah and her family are absolutely amazing! My dog Moose has stayed with them twice and each experience was amazing. Sarah and her husband treat Moose like their own dog and provide daily updates with the cutest pics. Their dog Dallas plays very well with Moose and keeps him active during his stay. All around highly recommend trusting Sarah with your pet!

D'anthony was SO good with my dog, Buddy, and he absolutely had a blast! He came home the happiest I have seen him in a while after being boarded, and although he can be a bit much for some dogs, he and the sitter's dog Aegon apparently got along very well and that really sealed the deal. I would absolutely recommend him and board again! I also appreciated the regular check-ins and many pictures over our 4-day stay.

Liz truly came through for me with a very last-minute cat check-in, and I am so grateful for her. From the start, she was kind, responsive, and incredibly accommodating, which immediately put me at ease. She took such wonderful care of my cat and clearly treated them with so much love and attention. The updates she provided were reassuring, and it was obvious she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. Even though it was last minute, she never made it feel rushed and went above and beyond. If you’re looking for someone reliable, compassionate, and TRUSTWORTHY, Liz is absolutely the person to book. I will definitely be using her again. thank you so much, Liz! 🐾💕
Sarah was a great host for our dogs while we went away for 2 weeks. She helped coronate an initial meet and greet to make sure the dogs got along and we were comfortable leaving them. She was also incredibly responsive to all texts leading up to our stay and during, as well as keeping us updated with pictures the entire time. She let our boys make themselves at home, which we really appreciated. 10/10 stay, would use her and family as a host again! Thanks so much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
