About: I have been rescuing dogs for almost 2 decades. Needless to say, I love dogs. I currently have a great Pyrenees and she would love Company. I work 100% remote from home., my yard has a 6 foot privacy fence am I Home is very dog friendly. I am also experienced in taking care of diabetic dogs, including testing and injections twice a day, monitoring food and making sure that all the dogs under my hair get daily walks, and lots of love. I work 100% remote. My day doesn’t start until nine, which allows me to spend time in the morning either playing with the dogs going for walks. I live in a very dog friendly neighborhood around those days that the weather doesn’t permit us to go out I have what we call beauty time.. I walk my dog every evening for at least 30 minutes and if the day is nice, we try to get some time in during lunch as well My house and backyard are very pet friendly. I am not someone who gets upset if there’s an accident after all they’re pets, stuff’s gonna happen. I have a 6 foot privacy fence in my backyard. My dog prefers to sleep outside, but for the dogs that I’m sitting I prefer they be inside with me.

“Juahn was so good to my Teddy and took pictures and sent me updates over the phone. He assured me there was nothing to be concerned about and I felt calm knowing Teddy was well cared for.”

“Danielle and her family were so great with my high energy, high anxiety border collie. She was super communicative in advance and was flexible with my crazy travel hours. When we got to their house to drop Callie off, she immediately took off into their huge, fenced in backyard, and I knew she’d have a great time there. Not only did Danielle and her family play with Callie, but even the neighborhood kiddos came to throw frisbees for her. I know she’d love to go back, and I’m happy to recommend Danielle to anyone looking for a fun time for their pup!”

“Ora is a good sitter. She sent frequent pictures of Loki and updates about him everyday. I will definitely consider her again for next time if she is available. Thank you Ora!”

“Tonks has stayed with Katherine and her family twice now, and I couldn't be happier with how well she's been taken care of. She always comes home super happy from Katherine's. The kids in the home are very sweet and great with dogs. Katherine sends pictures during the stay of Tonks out walking and playing. She even got Tonks treats and an awesome sweater when she stayed over the holidays. I'll definitely be booking again anytime I need a Rover sitter. Thanks Katherine!!”

I really appreciated the communication and updates while I was away, which gave me peace of mind. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their furry family member!”

“SYDNEY IS THE BEST! This was the first time our dog, Primo, stayed with someone who wasn’t already familiar with him, so naturally, we were a little nervous about leaving him while we were away on vacation. From the very beginning, Sydney completely put our minds at ease. She took the time to address every concern we had, answered all of our questions, and reassured us that Primo would be safe, comfortable, and very well taken care of. Sydney was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and professional throughout Primo’s entire stay. What we appreciated most was her communication. Every morning and evening, she sent us pictures along with updates and notes about how Primo was doing. Being able to see him happy and comfortable allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation without worrying about him. It was clear that Sydney treated Primo with genuine care and attention, and that means everything to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience leaving him with someone new. Sydney has definitely earned our trust, and we will absolutely be using her services again in the future. If you’re looking for someone dependable, caring, communicative, and trustworthy to care for your pet, we highly recommend Sydney. Thank you, Sydney!”

“Carolina was absolutely fantastic! Hazel loved her time there. She was happy and tired (in a great way) when we picked her up. Carolina had excellent communication and took Hazel for a nice walk in the neighborhood, her favorite thing to do. Am definitely using Carolina again!”

She kept us informed with pictures and updates throughout Nina’s stay. She even made Nina the cutest bandanna !! My family will be booking with her in the future for sure!!!”

“Oliver had an amazing time with Whitley and her pup Ollie! They were so cute together, playing and having fun. I was nervous as this was the first time Oliver stayed with someone he didn’t know and Whitley made him feel comfortable and happy. Thank you!”

“Sogol just watched our senior dog for six nights while we were on vacation. She was extremely helpful from the moment we reached out and kept us informed with messages and photos throughout the stay. She is very personable and warm and has a clear love for animals. We will absolutely use her again in the future!”

“Queeny provided a safe and welcoming home away from home for our two dogs. She sent us photos or videos every day to show that the dogs were healthy and happy, and we could tell that the dogs were stress-free when we came to collect them. We like the fact that there was an enclosed yard for them to run in, and that they were the only dogs in the home. We will definitely use Queeny again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fraser
I was nervous about leaving our senior dog work a new sitter, but a meet-and-greet with Amanda solidified that our pup would be well taken care of, and he was! She has a ton of experience with senior dogs and has a plan for every scenario. Amanda also did a great job with updates throughout the stay, which helped ease my stress about our pup being in a new place. Would highly recommend Amanda!

Kareema was awesome! Very attentive to my pup. My pup, Faith, takes medication once a day and Kareema made sure she followed thru with giving it to her. She even took Faith on daily walks…which Faith LOVES. Thank u for being amazing to my baby while we were out of town. Knowing she was in a loving home while away from home made our travel a bit easier.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
