I have 20 years of pet care experience with all kinds of animals. I worked for many years as an assistant at a veterinarian as well as at Petsmart. I have administered medications, handled pets of various temperaments, and taken care of high needs pets. I also have a bachelors degree in environmental science with a focus on wildlife and exotic animals. I have pet sat since I was a young child. I have always had many types of animals of my own from dogs and cats to snakes, bearded dragons, hedge hogs, birds, hamsters and fish! My experience in the vet field allows me to identify if a pet is sick and calmly handle emergency situations. I will always be respectful of your home and your privacy. If you have any questions about availability or pet care options please message me! I work a flexible work from home job a few hours a week so my schedule can be flexible. I have a dog, cat, bearded dragon, and snake of my own. I also have four human kids! Our pets are more than pets, they are our babies! Doggy Day Care with Amanda was great! We adopted a new puppy recently and needed a sitter for a day. Amanda was responsive, accommodating, and very thoughtful and knowledgeable about the needs and comfort of our pup, Clyde. He had a great time and didn't want to leave when we went to pick him up!

Schedule
I work a flexible part time work from home job. My schedule is pretty flexible, especially during the morning and early afternoon hours. Please message me if you have questions about unavailable times or days.

Safety, trust & environment
I have four children ages 6,10,15 and 15. We are a blended family so half of the time I only have two children. They have all taken after me and are amazing with animals. Their dream is for us to live on a farm some day. They will love on your pet if your pet is okay with that, or they will leave leave your pet alone if that’s what they prefer. I will take care of your baby like they are my own! I work from home so I am home a lot of the time. I only leave for a few hours during the week if my kids have sports. My dog is friendly to all other dogs. My cat is friendly to other dogs, but lives upstairs. So they most likely will never see the cat. My bearded dragon and snake are in locked cages on tables, and would not be out while your pet is in our home. I cannot do any pet sitting at my home for cats since my cat is not a fan of other cats, but I’m happy to watch your cat at your home! We crate dogs overnight and if we leave the house. This is for their safety as I have seen many things working in the vet and rescue field. Otherwise, they are hanging out with us and uncrated! I can provide a crate if you don’t have one for dogs up to 80lbs. I will also provide bowls and pets will be fed separately for safety. Please bring them on a leash with a harness so we can walk them. I also have a large fenced in yard they will have access too as often as they want. Drop ins in your home: I will respect your property and privacy! I am always on time and I will clean up after your pets and myself. I’m happy to give them food and water, let them out (on or off leash), play with them, spend time with them, scoop litter boxes, and give medications. I also offer dog walking. I might have my six year old daughter with me unless you request that she doesn’t come- but I would notify you in advance also. She just loves to help so I bring her with me when it’s okay. Please let me know if your baby needs any special accommodations!
Pets
A typical day
We love to play fetch with any fur babies staying in our home. We also give endless pets and snuggles if your dog likes that! We are home all day aside from evening sports which take up about an hour or two per night. During the day we will provide at least one walk. We can also help keep them on any medication and food schedule you have. Please provide those in advance.
