“Melissa was wonderful. Right on time, followed instructions, and took excellent care of my puppy. Definitely would recommend her to others and will be using her again in the future.”

“Josh was wonderful My girl, Sable just fell in love with him Libby is still looking for him. He took them for walks. He watched their diet. He stayed with him over the weekend. My home was neat and tidy when I got home better than I left it Dogs are happy that makes me happy Josh communicated sent me pictures. Let me know what my dogs were up to. Yes, indeed, I would use him again Blessings, Josh”

“Bonnie was absolutely wonderful with our dog Bruno, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Before the booking, Bonnie took the time to come over for a meet and greet so we could go through Bruno’s routine, needs, and any special instructions. That immediately gave us confidence that Bruno would be in great hands. While we were away, Bonnie sent thoughtful updates throughout the day, which we really appreciated. She was a fantastic communicator, prompt, reliable, and very attentive. She took Bruno on a nice long walk, and the sweetest surprise was when she gave him a little St. Patrick’s Day scarf. It was adorable and showed just how much care she puts into the dogs she looks after. When we returned home, she had also left a lovely “thank you for choosing me to look after Bruno” card along with special treats for him. Such a thoughtful touch. Bonnie was incredibly gentle, kind, and clearly loves what she does. We completely trust her with both our dog and our home, and we would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable sitter. Thank you again, Bonnie, Bruno already misses you! 🐾”

“Excellent care and communication while we traveled internationally. The daily photos were a huge amount of comfort while away. The pets seemed very happy. Would definitely book again!”

About: Hi! My name is Hope and I am a wife and mother to four children. We are huge animal lovers here! We have both cats and dogs. We live in a clean and nice sized home with lots of love and attention to give to your fur babies. I am home full time and will be available for day care or over night care. I would love to love on your babies while you’re away. We have had to use pet services when we traveled for work so I know how stressful it can be to find someone you trust. Just know your babies will be in good loving hands here. I would love the opportunity to speak with you further. Feel free to message me with questions or set up a home visit. Due to becoming extremely busy it is best to book as far ahead of time as possible so I am able to accommodate your booking. I’m booked up to a month in advance at this point. A night boarding request is good for a 24 hour period. If the pick up time is going to be extended beyond 24 hours from the start time I will add a day care charge to the end of your booking. Hours of operation for drop offs are no earlier than 7am and pick ups no later than 8pm. If you need outside of those hours I’m happy to take your pet a night early or extend the booking for another night.
“This was our first time using Kylie to watch our 2 dogs overnight in our home. She followed directions to a tee and spent quality time with our babies. She came over for a meet and greet a couple of weeks prior and the dogs seemed to take to her well. We won't hesitate to have her petsit for us again! Highly Recommend!”

“Genie was Ah. Mazing. She sent us pictures of and updates on our doggos everyday, and brought treats and toys to keep them happy. She was even able to walk our 110lb Great Pyrenees. She went above and beyond to keep the house clean (e.g wiped the big doggos paws after going outside, cleaned up our little senior's accident) and managed medication. Genie's communication was so thorough and professional. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND (to my detriment 'cause I'm worried y'all will book her up and she won't be available for us next time ?)”

About: For the past 4 years, I’ve been the go-to pet sitter for all things furry and fun! I take dogs on their daily adventures, keep their bellies full, and make sure they get plenty of wiggles, walks, and cuddle time. With cats, I’m the designated entertainer—playing, chatting, refreshing litter boxes, and keeping them company so they never feel lonely while their parents are away. Your pets get all the love, laughs, and attention they deserve! Since I’m a part time student, my schedule is flexible and gives me plenty of time to care for your pets. I’m available most mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine. Whether you need daily check ins, walks, playtime, or longer visits, I can usually adjust my schedule to make sure your pets get all the attention they need I live in a cozy tri-level home that’s perfect for keeping pets comfortable and safe. I’m able to easily separate my own pets from the pets I’m sitting for, giving everyone their own space while still making sure your pet gets plenty of love and attention. Whether they prefer quiet time, room to explore, or lots of snuggles, I can create a safe, relaxed environment that fits their needs while they’re here.
“Dawn took great care of my dog while I was gone. She sent daily updates and photos and was very communicative. I would not hesitate to book her for house sitting again!”

“Mariah was fantastic! Our nervous dog has a hard time when we leave and Mariah was so great with him! He was nervous at first but warmed up quickly and was happy to follow her everywhere. She sent regular updates, left the house in perfect condition, and even left a little “doggy report card” which was so nice to come home to. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Brandi stayed with our two dogs for a week. She did a wonderful job. She kept us informed everyday and sent lots of videos and pics of our dogs. She was very flexible and supportive during a crazy time… our house was being renovated and we were in the middle of a move. Our return flights were delayed and Brandi worked with to assure our dogs were going to be cared for even if our flight was canceled. Brandi is a Star!”

About: Non smoking house. I typically only host one dog family at a time but please tell me if your dog doesn’t get along with other dogs in case I have an emergency booking. I have had puppies, seniors and everything in between. I love all the dogs, big, medium and little! They will be spoiled immensely with me! My husband and 21 year old son are also in the home so I cannot accommodate dogs who are male reactive. I only take spayed or neutered pets. I work from home a lot with a flexible schedule. I always keep an eye on your pet and love to send updates/photos during their stay or a walk. Communication is very important! Let’s schedule a meet and greet soon! Will exercise your pet or let them relax as requested. We allow pets on furniture- bring their favorite toys, treats and bones! Updates sent frequently! I also volunteer walking dogs at a nearby shelter so I can handle any size dog while on walks. I’ll give them as much or little exercise as they are accustomed to. Doing a meet and greet helps everyone make sure it’s a good fit!

“Rachel did a great job taking care of our dog, Sully! I get anxious about leaving him and this was the most relaxed I've been on a trip in a long time. She was timely and responsible, and really took in all of the Sully-information I gave her. (He has allergies and meds, so it was more info than your average dog.) She provided frequent updates and was able to get two rounds of exercise in, despite it being mid-July. Sully seemed really relaxed (and tuckered out!) when we returned and the house was in great shape. I would definitely hire Rachel again!”

“Mason was a terrific sittter/companion/care-giver for our house and 80 lb dog Ringo. She was diligent and kept in touch. Ringo was in good hands w Mason’s vet experience as she handled a small scrap on his paw expertly and with love. The house was well kept and Ringo has a new good friend.”

“Lola is my sweet senior girl who has never before been left with a stranger. Upon first meeting Lola loved Julia and was laying at her feet fully relaxed. She even got kisses and my girl is stingy with them. Julia took great care of Lola and my home. I was at ease the whole time. I would book her again without a doubt! I will be recommending her to everyone I know!”

“We found Lizz when we had a sitter cancel at the last minute due to a family emergency. In a panic, I found Lizz and she was extremely responsive and came to sit for our boys a few days after I contacted her. Would recommend her for any pet sitting. Thanks Lizz!”

Tara was a great sitter. Clifden, seemed to warm up to her quicker than some other sitters we've had, which is a good thing, given his anxiety issues. The pics of Cliffy and Luna, as well as Tara's communication throughout the evening helped keep us at ease, as well. Thanks again, Tara! We hope you'll sit for us again in the future!

Katie watched our 3 dogs for a week while we took our first vacation with our 1 yr. old. We love our fur babies beyond belief. This was our first time using Rover and of course were hesitant. Katie did such an amazing job with communication and reassurance. I received updates daily as well as pictures. One of our dogs had an upset stomach while gone and Katie went above and beyond to take care of him. She prepared a bland diet for a couple days and spent extra time with him. It was so amazing not to have to worry about our fur babies. I highly recommend Katie and will most definitely be using her services again!

FAQs for House Sitting - Fraser
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Fraser on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,918 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Fraser. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fraser walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fraser maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fraser choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fraser. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
