“Bonnie is amazing. She took extra special care of our fur baby and our home. She went above and beyond. She sent pictures and texts assuring us that all was well. We would highly recommend Bonnie! We will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Excellent care and communication while we traveled internationally. The daily photos were a huge amount of comfort while away. The pets seemed very happy. Would definitely book again!”

“Rachel did a great job taking care of our dog, Sully! I get anxious about leaving him and this was the most relaxed I've been on a trip in a long time. She was timely and responsible, and really took in all of the Sully-information I gave her. (He has allergies and meds, so it was more info than your average dog.) She provided frequent updates and was able to get two rounds of exercise in, despite it being mid-July. Sully seemed really relaxed (and tuckered out!) when we returned and the house was in great shape. I would definitely hire Rachel again!”

About: I’m a reliable and confident pet sitter. I love the days I get to spend with dogs, cats, and other animals. I have plenty of experience with animals with different temperaments, sizes, and medical issues. I understand each animal has its own routine. I am dedicated to following each animal's unique routine to make their days as stress free as possible. I have had dogs and rodents my entire life, but have plenty of experience with other animals such as cats, chickens, pigs, goats, horses, and fish. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and overnight stays in your home. I share updates and photos daily. My ultimate goal is to provide your pets with the best care possible and for you to feel comfortable and confident when you are away from them. I pet sit full time. I am available every day of the week at anytime. I always do a house visit beforehand so your pet can become familiar with me. I understand each animal has its own routine. I am dedicated to following each animal's unique routine to make their days as stress free as possible. I share updates and photos daily. My ultimate goal is to provide your pets with the best care possible and for you to feel comfortable and confident when you are away from them.
“Lizz was wonderful! We left both our dog and cat in her care, and we didn’t worry a bit if they were in good hands. Our dog Oliver had epilepsy and required twice daily medication. Lizz made sure he didn’t miss a dose! She sent us pictures throughout the week, knowing how much we missed them. We will absolutely be booking Lizz again, thank you Lizz!!”

“Ashley stayed at our house for a weekend while we were traveling. We have three dogs who are sweeties, and they took to her instantly with cuddles. She met all of their needs, including medication. I would definitely work with Ashley again any time!”

“Mariah was fantastic! Our nervous dog has a hard time when we leave and Mariah was so great with him! He was nervous at first but warmed up quickly and was happy to follow her everywhere. She sent regular updates, left the house in perfect condition, and even left a little “doggy report card” which was so nice to come home to. We will definitely be using her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of the dogs in the family for years, and still do with two pups of my own. I also work at a veterinary hospital as a vet tech I can tend to emergency situations, post- op care, giving medication’s cleaning bowls regularly, noticing any issues and giving them lots of kisses! I’m comfortable with senior dogs and puppies, and used to foster! I’m also CPR certified! I work 12 hour shifts every other day, so I’m open to weekend stays, days after work and the entire next day, some holidays, vacations. On days I don’t work I can stop by often to play, go for a walk, hang inside/outside or go for a car ride! Depending on your home, I’m comfortable crating if necessary, separating multiple dogs for meals, keeping them calm after eating, not leaving them unattended with toys then can rip apart or anything they can get into, including anything I might have, (shoes, purse, keys). If we go for a walk I will ensure all equipment fits properly so we don’t have any issues.
About: Non smoking house. I typically only host one dog family at a time but please tell me if your dog doesn’t get along with other dogs in case I have an emergency booking. I have had puppies, seniors and everything in between. I love all the dogs, big, medium and little! They will be spoiled immensely with me! My husband and 21 year old son are also in the home so I cannot accommodate dogs who are male reactive. I only take spayed or neutered pets. I work from home a lot with a flexible schedule. I always keep an eye on your pet and love to send updates/photos during their stay or a walk. Communication is very important! Let’s schedule a meet and greet soon! Mostly work from home so they are not left alone for long. Only adults at home who know how to interact with and acclimate all visitors! Fenced, safe yard. Will exercise your pet or let them relax as requested. We allow pets on furniture- bring their favorite toys, treats and bones! Updates sent frequently! I also volunteer walking dogs at a nearby shelter so I can handle any size dog while on walks. I’ll give them as much or little exercise as they are accustomed to. Doing a meet and greet helps everyone make sure it’s a good fit!
About: When I was a little kid, my dream job was to be a veterinarian, so you can imagine my excitement when I got into the vet tech program right out of high school. Despite that, I quickly fell flat on my face and decided I couldn’t emotionally handle it. I’m undecided about schooling now, but I’ve never lost the love I have for animals or the desire to work with them in one way or another, so I am currently working full-time at an animal hospital in the boarding & grooming wing (5 years), and I do pet-sitting in my free time! Due to my experiences, I’ve been around all kinds of dogs and cats with all sorts of personalities, behaviors, medications, and disabilities; so I like to believe I can work around just about anything for your pet! Was on hiatus from Rover as I was doing enough pet-sitting locally for people, but I wanted to expand my clientele. Please reach out if interested! I’d love to become one of your pet’s contacts! <3 I am currently working full-time, but my schedule and my workplace itself tends to be more flexible and accommodating depending on our staffing that week. I’ve taken breaks before to go walk dogs, so I try to be very open. Don’t be afraid to shoot me a message and we can see if I can make it work! :-) Before caring for your pet, I’d like to know their reactivity to things such as people, other dogs, and any other small animals they might pass on a walk (if applicable) so I know what to avoid to keep your pet’s stress levels down—and mine too! Any quirks you know about your pet as to what they like or dislike. I like to remind people that your pet & I will start as strangers. Please share everything you think I should know!
“Elizabeth was super helpful and very flexible with my crazy schedule. She took my dogs to the park and gave them lots of love and sent great pictures of them while I was away. I didn’t have to worry about a thing the entire trip. She even stayed late when my flight was delayed and left the house clean and tidy. Can’t wait to use her services again!”

“Thank you, Maddy! It’s nice to have someone to count on to be able to enjoy an evening out/away and to know Jake is being cared for the way he needs. We appreciate you!!”

About: 🌞 I am always smiling brightly every time I have the opportunity to be with an animal. (I have many photos of this to share!) I love all types of these precious beings! 💗 Some of my life experiences include: Parenting Dogs, Cats, Kittens, Lizards, and Senior Pets. I have assisted in kitten birth and successfully bonded with, and adopted a feral kitten who (still) adores me... Yay! 😁 I have also cared for a very sick lizard and kitten by myself that required extensive care for a few long months. 🐿️ 🐴 All types of animals seem to be attracted to me, including... dogs, cats, ferrets, horses, donkeys, goats, possums, squirrels, etc. I love the saying, "If animals are drawn to you, it's not random. They can sense good energy and are naturally drawn to calm and safe vibes." 🐐 🐑 🐕 I have been a volunteer at the Michigan Humane Society and I am also a medical professional (for humans). 🐈 💊 *Disclaimer: My '30' years of experience is personal. 💉 📆 My typical availability might be something like: M-Th evenings 6-9pm (I usually work my primary job M-TH 7am-5:30pm and almost NEVER available during these hours.) - *After those hours, FEEL FREE TO ASK IF NOT OPEN ON CALANDER* (I may arrive in medical scrubs), Friday afternoon 10am-3pm *FEEL FREE TO ASK IF NOT OPEN ON CALANDER* and most Saturdays / Sundays.✨ Sometimes I am more available and sometimes less... This schedule is not always definite but I will keep my calendar availability posted and up to date. *ALWAYS FEEL FREE TO ASK IF NOT OPEN ON CALANDER. I 'MAY' BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE* 📆 🏠 House sitting can also 'sometimes' be booked with notice if marked 'Unavailable' in my calendar. Feel free to ask. 🏠 ⚕️ Since I am attempting to transition from human care to animal care, I still work full time (plus) in the Human Healthcare field and my work schedule varies. (I am certified in human CPR and hopefully animal CPR to come...)⚕️ 🐈⬛ I have always had a strong desire to work with animals and I am hoping to finally transition from human care to animal care but I prefer to interact with animals and enjoy what they bring to the world, rather than do restraining and invasive procedures on them. 🐶 I am pretty intuitive about what makes an animal happy (and not) and I would make their time with me as awesome as I possibly can! Additionally, I would happily engage farm animals, birds, and others to my full ability!
“Jamie really put me at ease when watching our dogs (and cats). I knew when she initially met the dogs that it was going to be a great fit. She sent me pictures and updates while we were out of town, which really helped assure me that my dogs were safe, happy, and taken care of. Definitely recommend Jamie and will be using her again soon!”
“Zoe is absolutely wonderful. She watches Giovanni with enthusiasm and care. I could not have asked for a better person to watch my puppy. Giovanni absolutely loves her. I would highly recommend booking Zoe for any of your needs.”

“So many good things to say! We have two dogs and have had Ashley dog sit and do daily visits. She has done great at both and we will continue to use her. She kept us up to date while we were away and took good care of our guys.”

“Josh was wonderful My girl, Sable just fell in love with him Libby is still looking for him. He took them for walks. He watched their diet. He stayed with him over the weekend. My home was neat and tidy when I got home better than I left it Dogs are happy that makes me happy Josh communicated sent me pictures. Let me know what my dogs were up to. Yes, indeed, I would use him again Blessings, Josh”

Christina was amazing! She was so patient with my dog, George. He’s not used to new people around but he took to Christina very quickly. She sent pics, videos and updates the entire time. I felt so comfortable having her stay at the house with our baby. I will definitely book Christina again.

Kelsey took great care of our 2 boys and then were very happy staying in the house and having her there with them. She respected our property and cleaned up dishes, towels, and sheets before she left. The daily updates allowed us to feel comfortable that everything was going well and the boys were happy. Will definitely utilize Kelsey's services again!!

Savannah helped us out during spring break when our original sitter backed out last minute. She was an angel. Our dog (a giant Bernadoodle) is very timid and protective, but got along with Savannah immediately. She left our house immaculate and followed all instructions to a “T”. We will definitely book with her when we go out of town again. Thank you for everything!

Fateha house sat for our 8 week old kitten and she was incredible! She was very clean and sent us regular updates making us feel super confident in our decision to book her. It was our first time using rover, so we were definitely nervous, but we were in good hands with Fateha! 10/10 would book again.

What an amazing sitter. When I got home from a 9 hr work shift my fur babies were so calm and relaxed after spending the day with Lyla. I felt very comfortable leaving my fur babies in the care of Lyla. So happy with her services. I will be using her again. Thank you

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mount Clemens walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mount Clemens maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mount Clemens choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mount Clemens. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
