“Ashley, who goes by “Red,” is an absolutely wonderful human being, and if she is available, book her! Back in May, as a first-time user of Rover, I created 3 separate bookings with a sitter who had glowing reviews. However, on the day of our meet & greet—only 1 week before our first trip—she completely ghosted us. I nearly panicked because I didn’t think we’d be able to find an available sitter on such short notice. I hopped back on Rover, entered my dates, filtered by Star Sitters, and hit “search.” Red was at the top of my search results, and after looking over her profile, I felt like she may be a good choice. Although her calendar showed her as available for the dates of our trip, I was prepared to be let down. I sent her a message explaining our situation. Not only did she respond quickly, she also responded with kindness & empathy. Best of all, she was available to sit for our beloved kitty! AND she volunteered to come over the next morning for a meet & greet! Less than 24 hours after reaching out to her, Red messaged me to let me know she was on her way to my house. Upon opening my door, I immediately liked her. Seriously. She just radiates this incredible energy! She is also so kind, compassionate, and engaging. We booked Red for two of our three camping trips. This review is based on our second booking with her, and we couldn’t be more pleased with her! She is the sweetest person! And an excellent communicator, which is vital for us anxious pet parents who are forced to leave our beloved (and vulnerable!) pets home alone. I had no qualms leaving Sassy alone this second time because I knew that Red would take excellent care of her…and she absolutely has! I am so sad that Red is not available for our third trip, but if she’s available next summer, you can bet I will be booking her!”

About: We adopted a dog 9 years ago and she was one the best things that had ever happened to us, she was our fur baby and we took her to our trips (she was a frequent flyer). She recently crossed the rainbow bridge at 17 and even though we are not ready to adopt another dog, we would absolutely love to take care of your dog. Our daughter loves dogs and it would make her really happy to have a dog in our home at least for a few days. We would take care of your dog as it was our own, we've taken care of a friend's dog and we loved every minute of it. Having a 17 year old dog we have extensive experience with senior dogs and special needs (our dog had a spinal operation and lived three years after it). I work from home four days a week and have flexibility as to when I can go in. My wife and daughter are at school and work five days a week. We have a large fenced yard and do not currently have any pets. We live in a ranch so we only have one step and a door that shuts off access to the basement if you're worried about your pet using steps. We will treat your dog as if it's our own and it is allowed on the furniture if you're okay with it.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and value the companionship and love they fill us with everyday. On top of caring for my own pup I have helped friends and family with walking and boarding when needed. I’m a sahm so pet care fits into my schedule right along with my other daily activities. We go on walks with my dog and play outside and could easily fit another furry friend into the routine. I take my sweet boy to the dog park twice a week so he can meet and play with friends. About: I have had cats most of my life. I know all about personalities! I know that pets need loving, especially when you are away. I had a cat that stopped eating once when I was on vacation and that ended up with a trip to the ER Vet. Needless to say, I know how imporant a good pet sitter is to keep your pet from feeling lonely. They need cuddles and play time. Of course, that goes along with the daily tasks of feeding, emptying the litter, walks, etc. I am a retired teacher. After teaching, I was my husband's caregiver while he battled cancer. I lost him a few months ago and now find myself lonely and looking for something to do. Since I love cats, I figured taking care of other people's cats and dogs would be a great way to spend some time. I treat pets like members of the family (because that's what they are). They get everything they need from me. I will make them feel loved and cared for when you can't be there. I can also check the house while you are away to be sure there aren't problems. I can water plants, too. I don't want you to worry about anything while you are gone. Anything I can do to make leaving easier, I will do!

About: I've had dogs since I was little, and I am a compassionate dog caretaker. I love all dogs, young and old, healthy and ill. I want to spend all of my time with dogs and make them feel loved and taken care of! As of now I am not working, I just have two trips out of state before I start school in Chicago August 21 at which time I will be available in that area! I am attentive and careful when caring for dogs, and when taking them on walks I am patient and allow them to take their time and sniff around. I love playing with dogs' toys or cuddling with them. About: As the warmer weather is approaching us, and alot of people are traveling to out of state or even out of the country, I know its very hard to leave your pet with someone or even a big boarding company while you go on vacation. Or even not liking to put your dog through staying in a cage while on an airplane. So I would love to cuddle and give all your pets the affection they need while you're out of town. With you leaving your pet with me, they will get lovings all day every day they’re with me. They will get play time, feeding time, relaxing time, cuddling time, and even walking time! (Swimming time if you allow it) I currently have one dog. Most people are afraid of bigger dogs, but mine is just a big baby, shed like little a little kid most of the time she just sleeps. I also have a kitten that acts just like a dog and then have 3 older cats. They Just want lovings and cuddles. They go out potty every 1-2 hours, because there bladder is a lot smaller than ours. If it’s really nice outside I’ll go in the back yard and play fetch and just run around with them for hours or as long as they want to stay outside. At night she doesn't sleep in a cage, because shes very well trained and don’t potty in the house, but she does sleep with me in my room. I love taking care of any type of animal, because if you can’t help them, who’s going to? They can’t help themself, so you have to help them. When I go to friends houses or even family members houses, I’m the person sitting in the corner with either the dogs laying on my feet and I’m rubbing there belly, or with the cats on my lap as I’m petting them. Animals love me, just as much as I love them. I'm currently a stay at home mom, I'm home pretty much 24/7 and have all the time in the world to play, cuddle, walk, and just lounge around in the house with your pet. I have a fenced in yard, and one dog and a few cats that will keep your family company while you're away. If they need to be crated per your request I can do that as well.

My son was very nervous about leaving his new fur baby for the first time and Charlotte went above and beyond to reassure him that Wes was in the best, most loving hands! She invited us over before our trip so we could see where Wes would be staying and made us all feel welcome in her beautiful home. She sent us pictures throughout the day and kept us up to date on his adventures! She truly loved him like her own! Charlotte even did research on his particular breed to understand how to best care for him.
