“Ashley was amazing with my 15 year old Pitsky! She went above and beyond our expectations! She wanted to do a meet and greet right away and immediately she was so loving and caring towards my Pitsky! She always sent me pictures, gave in detail updates every day, every visit! All I was really asking was for someone to feed my dog and take for walks. Ashley did just that but also stayed with him for a while and gave him a ton of belly rubs, treats, and love! We returned home to a happy, almost younger dog with how much energy and excitement he had, which could only have been from all the love and care Ashley gave him! I would highly recommend Ashley to anyone! She is very experienced with handling dogs and even left my dog treats! I will only have Ashley come and look after my dog in the future! I couldn’t thank her enough for how well she took care of my senior dog!”

“Brittney did drop in visits for our cats while we were on an extended vacation. We met prior to leaving, and I knew we knew we were leaving our kitties to a wonderful sitter! Brittney went above and beyond to care for our shy cats, and was so helpful while we were away. We will definitely be working with her again in the future!”
“Shelby was a blessing from the first message. I always worry when someone new is watching my babies but she put my mind at ease. She kept me updated with amazing pictures and details. She was respectful of my home and critters. I am beyond thrilled with their care while I was away. I loved that she was quick to answer messages and provided a safe caring presence in my absence. Very grateful and I will book her again! (Hopefully soon!)”
“Audrey took great care of our 3 cats and our home while we were out of town! She provided daily updates with lots of photos that we looked forward to getting every day! She is very responsible and followed all our instructions. Don't hesitate to book with Audrey, we have already booked with her again!”

“Alayna did a great job watching my dog Sully while I was away on a work trip. I told her before my trip that I wasn’t used to leaving my dog home on my adventures and that I was a little stressed about it. She reassured me with great detailed updates and pictures that Sully was happy and loved while I was away. She made sure he got plenty of playtime and exercise, cuddles, and food/water throughout the day. I would definitely recommend her for other pet owners feeling a bit anxious to leave their furry friends, and I’ll definitely work with her again.”

About: I am Amanda and I have a passion for dogs and have cared for them over the past 10 years. We (my husband and I) currently have a Chi/JRT mix who is a ball of energy, but the sweetest pup who loves to give kisses and sleep on your lap. I used to have a dox/beagle/chi mix, and have cared for two doxies on the regular when my former coworker went out of town. I wish I could rescue all of the dogs. My husband and I recently back to the Warren area and would love to help other pet families. I hate the look my dog gives me when we have to board him at a kennel. We want to offer the service in hopes that it gives people flexibility to live life! We work full-time - leaving the house around 7:30 and returning around 2 p.m. Usually animals that can be crated during those hours are best, but we do have family members that can help as needed during the week. On weekends we are around and also out and about. If the weather is nice - we love walks and head to our local parks! We have a fenced in year and we have made sure that there are no gaps where a smaller dog could sneak through. It is only a chain link so if the dog is a jumper there may be a problem. We have one dog who is super friendly, but definitely likes to acts like the alpha.
About: I have had cats most of my life. I know all about personalities! I know that pets need loving, especially when you are away. I had a cat that stopped eating once when I was on vacation and that ended up with a trip to the ER Vet. Needless to say, I know how imporant a good pet sitter is to keep your pet from feeling lonely. They need cuddles and play time. Of course, that goes along with the daily tasks of feeding, emptying the litter, walks, etc. I am a retired teacher. After teaching, I was my husband's caregiver while he battled cancer. I lost him a few months ago and now find myself lonely and looking for something to do. Since I love cats, I figured taking care of other people's cats and dogs would be a great way to spend some time. I treat pets like members of the family (because that's what they are). They get everything they need from me. I will make them feel loved and cared for when you can't be there. I can also check the house while you are away to be sure there aren't problems. I can water plants, too. I don't want you to worry about anything while you are gone. Anything I can do to make leaving easier, I will do!
“Sarah always does an amazing job with my Beagle Molly. I can enjoy getting out of the house for a while and not have to worry about rushing home to let Molly out. She is well cared for while I’m gone.”

“Paris was friendly, professional and approachable. We 100% trusted her from our very first meet and greet. She treated our kittens with as much respect (or more) as she would treat her own cats. We were so very greatful for such thoughtful, kind and compassionate service in our absence. We will definitely be booking Paris again for our next trip!”

“Desiree took really good care of our cat. He usually hides when strangers come into the house. I was amazed that Desiree got so see him and even got a pet in. She also helped us when we needed her on really short notice the day before Thanksgiving, we were so relieved knowing she was looking after our baby and doing a great job.”

“Zoe was very kind and took good care of our baby Luna while we were away on a weekend trip. She did a good job of communicating with us and taking pictures and sending us updates. We would definitely have her come over again in the future!”

About: Hello, I am an experienced pet owner. I currently have dogs, reptiles and amphibians, but have had cats, Guinea pigs, rabbits, and fish in the past. I have also helped care for goats and horses. No matter what your pet is, I am your person to call. Dogs, caged rabbits, guinea pigs or reptiles are welcome in my home. Sorry but my one dog is not cat friendly. Over night care in my home only. For animals with medical needs, I have worked in health care/radiology since 1990, and have also worked as an EMT. I am comfortable giving meds, even those that need to be injected. Friends and family have relied on me for their pet care, and you can too. I work Monday through Friday eight hour days. While at work I have cameras monitoring your pup(s) and I check on them often. Weekend is all about the animals. I have a large fully privacy fenced yard for your pups to run with my dogs. They will have lots of space to play in and sniff around.
“Caitlin was great! Checked on my cat for a few days while I was out of town and sent photos and was super communicative through the whole process, I will absolutely use her again when I’m out of town in the future!”

“Your pets are in good hands with Christine. Our dogs love her and she takes such good care of them. Always on time and has never had to cancel. If you need a recommendation, here it is, you won’t be disappointed!”
About: Hello! My name is Lucie and I absolutely love pups of all shapes and sizes. From a child, I’ve always had a dog that I’ve cared for of different breeds from Beagle to Elkhound and now a Shepherd/Golden mix. I frequently dog sit for my brother who has an Aussie/Bernie mix. My dog recently suffered a TPLO tear and we’ve had to make significant adjustments due to complications that happened. I learned to help support his 115 pound frame for potty breaks, give shots, and give medications. His surgical team has even joked that I could get a job there once he’s healed up from all that I’ve learned. I work fully remote unless traveling (for which my schedule is blocked). My days are somewhat flexible to meet your families needs. Weekends are also very flexible. If you book with me, I will communicate what times I’m available and can send you photos of your babies. I will take care of your 4 legged friend just like they are my own. Having a very smart and large shepherd myself I’m always on the lookout for things he can get into and make sure everything is picked up so he can’t get hurt or in trouble. Our vet office has consistently told me that I’m one of their most diligent pet parents. Your pets safety and your privacy is always my goal.
About: I have over 45 years experience taking care of cats and dogs and also have volunteered for several years in dog shelters when I am on vacation. I am now retired and after losing my dog of over 16 years I want to open my home to dogs needing care. I am retired so I have sufficient time to care for your pet and take them for walks since I do not have to leave for work. I strive to give you the best value in care. I love to walk so I make sure your pet gets plenty of outside time amd walks if they like to walk. Pets have free roam in my house and are allowed on the furniture , bed etc. I live in a quiet area close to parks and they will get walks in and plenty of outside time. I have a fenced yard also.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fraser
Audrey was very sweet, communicative, and managed to befriend our two scaredy cats! I was surprised at how they were out with her from day one. I felt totally at peace knowing they were in Audrey’s care while I was out of town, and really appreciated that Audrey also stayed on top of litter & garbage so we don’t come home to a stinky house. I will absolutely book with her again.

Danielle is the best ever! My shy and “picky eater” senior cat absolutely loved Danielle at the 1st visit. She is truly the “animal whisperer.” I was able to vacation stress free knowing my fur baby was being loved and cared for. I will surely have Danielle again to look after my senior baby again. She was quick to respond to any and all of my concerns. Thank you Danielle. You’re the best !!!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fraser. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
