About: I have had cats most of my life. I know all about personalities! I know that pets need loving, especially when you are away. I had a cat that stopped eating once when I was on vacation and that ended up with a trip to the ER Vet. Needless to say, I know how imporant a good pet sitter is to keep your pet from feeling lonely. They need cuddles and play time. Of course, that goes along with the daily tasks of feeding, emptying the litter, walks, etc. I am a retired teacher. After teaching, I was my husband's caregiver while he battled cancer. I lost him a few months ago and now find myself lonely and looking for something to do. Since I love cats, I figured taking care of other people's cats and dogs would be a great way to spend some time. I treat pets like members of the family (because that's what they are). They get everything they need from me. I will make them feel loved and cared for when you can't be there. I can also check the house while you are away to be sure there aren't problems. I can water plants, too. I don't want you to worry about anything while you are gone. Anything I can do to make leaving easier, I will do!

About: Having pets has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, but in the last 15 years, I've been a multiple pet home for both dogs and cats, as well as a volunteer at animal shelters. With a deep affinity for animals, you can be confident that your pet will receive top-notch care under my supervision. Though entrusting your pets to a stranger may pose a challenge, rest assured that I'll care for them as if they were my own. :) I work from home and have a very flexible schedule! About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and value the companionship and love they fill us with everyday. On top of caring for my own pup I have helped friends and family with walking and boarding when needed. I’m a sahm so pet care fits into my schedule right along with my other daily activities. We go on walks with my dog and play outside and could easily fit another furry friend into the routine. I take my sweet boy to the dog park twice a week so he can meet and play with friends. He’s extremely friendly with other dogs and people, so if you wanted for your fur baby to get some socialization I can always bring him with me. (He is up to date on all shots)

Because of my rescue work, I have experience in managing different dog personalities and needs—and my own dogs are, too! I also regularly care for the pets of my friends and family, from quick check-ins to extended stays. I work a part-time schedule with hours that vary each week. I keep my calendar updated regularly, but please feel free to reach out to confirm specific openings for your furbabies. The Meet & Greet: To ensure everyone is comfortable, I require a Meet & Greet before boarding bookings. We typically start in my fenced backyard to give the dogs space. We first meet on opposite sides of the fence; once we see positive body language, we let the guest dog into the yard. I keep my dogs leashed during this process to give your pup plenty of space to sniff and explore at their own pace. Afterward, I’ll show you the indoor space where they will be staying. Supervision & Sleeping: Your dogs are always supervised while outside in my fenced yard; they are never left alone. While my two dogs happily go to "their rooms" (crates) at night, guest dogs can sleep wherever they are most comfortable. Whether that is in a bed, on the living room couch, in their own crate, or a private room, I want them to feel right at home. Updates & Communication: You can expect daily updates on your pet, including details of their day, how they are doing, and plenty of pictures and videos. You are always welcome to contact me for a status update, but I provide a daily report so you never have to wonder. Transportation: If you need help with transport, please reach out! I can offer pick-up or drop-off for an additional fee, and we can discuss details during our coordination. I work a part-time schedule during the summer with hours that vary throughout the week and weekends. This means I have different blocks of availability each day, but I keep my calendar updated regularly! Please feel free to reach out to me directly to confirm openings for your fur babies. ​While I have flexibility for check-ins and care, please note that I cannot book recurring daycare right now due to potential schedule changes later this year. On Saturdays and Sundays, I have limited availability depending on the week—messaging me in advance is the best way to coordinate! I have a fenced in yard, clean and organized home, and two dogs who absolutely love to play and I'm also able to crate your dog if needed. If I'm checking in on your furbaby, I am very respectful and considerate of your home and your pet's needs whether that's taking them potty, feeding them or having play time!

“Mary is great with my pitty!! She always did what I needed done and found the time to squeeze him in even in busy days! She does have a bad ankle so due to that we had to switch over so if u have a bigger stronger dog who pulls or is reactive, may be best to find someone else. But otherwise she did the job and walked him even with that ankle :)! She helped us find other options as well and always had tips to help when issues were brought up. She seems to really care about the animals and what they need.”

About: I have been on Rover for 2 1/2 years and have loved every minute! I started caring for animals in highschool, feeding them, playing with them and even changing diapers. As I got older I started hosting dogs in my own home. I have watched all kinds of dogs and try to accommodate whatever needs they have. I like to play with them and give them the love they need while their parents are away. I offer boarding, drop-ins, and doggy daycare services! I signed up for this because I love animals and I cannot get enough of their adorable personalities. My personal dog goes out typically every 2 hours. My current dog is a doodle and requires brushing every other day. I go for frequent on-leash walks usually 2-3 times a day. We also have a fenced in yard that I can let the dogs play in throughout the day. In the evenings we play ball in our house which is very open. I am willing to walk, play, brush, and care for your pups in any way possible. :)

On this day, my chronic illness appeared which sometimes keeps me bedridden so Lauren kept the appointment anyway and walked Mabel. I felt such relief because I feel guilty about not giving Mabel the outdoor time and exercise that she needs when I become ill. Lauren is so dependable and Mabel clearly enjoys her.”
