“Alayna is great, my dog is happy, I am definitely rebooking her again. She sent me the cutest photos of my dog, played with him, walked and pet him, and swapped his water more often than I do. Thank you so much”

“John was amazing, helping out when I wasn’t able to walk the dog myself. He was very friendly and communicative and my dog responded very well to him. I will definitely be using his services again when needed!”

About: I am an avid dog and cat lover, as well as a dog, rat, fish and cat owner myself :) I promise I will treat your furbabies like they are my own. I have been pet sitting for a few years now and I am familiar with pet cpr and first aid. I take pride in pet sitting for others and look forward to meeting you and your furry, swimming, feathered, warm rock typed children! If you have any questions or are interested in my services, please feel free to contact me anytime. Why I love dog sitting I have been a animal lover since a very young age. When I was young, my friends and I would rescue the stray animals in the neighborhood and return them to my home. My parents would lovingly laugh and help me try to locate the owners. I have had the pleasure of owning dogs and cats my whole life. Animals are a imporant part of my culture being part Native American. The love and happiness animals bring to our lives makes the world go round :) I have worked with many rescues and rehabilitation as well as extensive knowledge on animal care from potty schedules, diets and nutrition, medication needs, etc. My experience administering medication I have had to administer medications before for prior animals I have sitted for, so any special needs is not an issue. I will make your animals feel loved and safe in my care always with daily videos and photos of the fun your pet is having. I am always will to work with families to ensure the best care possible and will follow scheduled feedings and needs for your pets. I am currently a Pre-K teacher out of Farmington Hills, so I am able to work around your needs weekly/weekends and holidays as schedule allows I ensure communication is ongoing throughout the day depending on clients needs. I stick to a schedule that designed around your needs and make sure to be always respectful and honest you and your pets needs

“Jessica is fabulous! I’m kind of a “crazy dog mom” but knowing my dog, Foss, is in Jessica’s care puts me at ease during the day. She sends me lots of pictures on her visits and, most importantly, I can tell she truly loves Foss and all animals and Foss loves/adores her just as much. Thank you, Jessica!”

About: Hello there! My name is Julie and I’m a licensed veterinary technician (animal nurse) from the Metro Detroit area! I’ve been an LVT for 6 years and have worked in both Oncology & Emergency medicine! I have experience reading animal body language, giving medications via various routes, & have worked with all types of breeds both young and old! I am currently working part time at a local Veterinary Clinic and usually work 3 times a week although my schedule varies month to month! I treat every animal with love, respect, and care along with every home! Play time and walks along with snuggles are a few of my favorite things!
About: We love dogs and promise to take care of yours as if he or she was part of our family. We are happy to follow any specific instructions you may have and will do our best to provide a happy, healthy environment for your furry family member while you’re away. We are both recently retired and don’t currently have any pets so we can give yours all the attention he or she needs. We are happy to send photos and/or videos while you’re away if you like! We will make sure your dog(s) get lots of exercise, love and attention! We are retired and are available everyday - weekdays, weekends, holidays - you name it! We are completely flexible and able to work with your schedule. We can even pick up and/or drop off your fur baby if it’s more convenient for you. Just ask us - we are more than happy to help! And while our profile says that we only take ONE dog at a time, we are happy to take two or three AS LONG AS THEY ARE FROM THE SAME FAMILY. We strongly believe in making your dog’s (or dogs’) experience as close to what you provide at home. That’s why we don’t have any other animals of our own and we won’t care for multiple dogs from outside your own family. It’s safer for your dog(s) and there is much less anxiety for them when they aren’t faced with unknown dogs. We endeavor to make your dog(s) feel as comfortable and calm as possible during their stay with us. Safety first! Our entire home has been recently remodeled and is very dog friendly. We keep chemicals out of sight and behind closed doors. Our yard is fenced in and there is a lot of space to run and play. Joe is “dog-walker extraordinaire” and loves to take long or short walks any time of day.
“Annie and Dustin are fantastic! They are super friendly, prompt, and very knowledgeable about dogs. You can tell how much they love them! The best part about Annie and Dustin is how much my Ruby loved them! They embraced her licking and jumping like she wasn't annoying at all haha! I can't wait to work with them again!”

About: I believe that dogs have incredible souls and they also have unconditional love and compassion. There is something peaceful about watching dogs and making sure they are OK. Fitness is something else I am into and working with RoverGo let’s me combine the two and it’s wonderful! I’m also excited to grow my dog sitting business with Rover and I absolutely love working with dogs and their owners on a daily basis -- it’s truly exciting to me and I couldn’t be happier! If I’m taking care of your pup you can be assured that not only will they get plenty of opportunities to stretch their legs, but there will also be plenty of play time. I also like to keep dogs on their routine, including meals and I deliver top-notch customer service by listening to what each owner has to say about their pet’s unique personality and habits. I’m also a dog owner -- I have a beautiful Pitbull mix puppy -- and she is the light of my life! Dogs have always been a part of my life, whether they have been my own or I’ve been caring for them for friends and family. And if your pup has any special medical needs, you should know that I’m comfortable administering oral medical or providing extra-special care for senior dogs.

About: I've walked dogs in the metro Detroit area for around 5 years. I love active dogs, but I don't mind to slow the pace if your dog isn't as energetic. I'm available all day for walks and visits. For boarding and sitting, I am typically available if given a week of prior notice. I love to make sure your companion feels loved and cared for, even when you are away. Dogs love routine and I will adapt to yours! I have experience with all ages, from puppy to senior, and I can administer medications as well. I have plenty of experience with cats and other pets, including the very shy. I live pretty close to the 696 and 75 junction, so getting to and from my house is usually easy. Fortunately, I am currently available for walks, visits, and boarding full time as your schedule needs. I have my own dog and two cats that require my care daily. My yard is fully privacy fenced with a large deck. I have a few small gates I can set up in the house for introducing animals slowly or separating everyone for downtime and breaks. I have a few harnesses/collars, leashes, and a caution symbol to use on walks unless you prefer your current gear. I own a large crate for my 80lb lab that can be used as needed.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
