About: Hello! My name is Lucie and I absolutely love pups of all shapes and sizes. From a child, I’ve always had a dog that I’ve cared for of different breeds from Beagle to Elkhound and now a Shepherd/Golden mix. I frequently dog sit for my brother who has an Aussie/Bernie mix. My dog recently suffered a TPLO tear and we’ve had to make significant adjustments due to complications that happened. I learned to help support his 115 pound frame for potty breaks, give shots, and give medications. His surgical team has even joked that I could get a job there once he’s healed up from all that I’ve learned. I work fully remote unless traveling (for which my schedule is blocked). My days are somewhat flexible to meet your families needs. Weekends are also very flexible. If you book with me, I will communicate what times I’m available and can send you photos of your babies. I will take care of your 4 legged friend just like they are my own. Having a very smart and large shepherd myself I’m always on the lookout for things he can get into and make sure everything is picked up so he can’t get hurt or in trouble. Our vet office has consistently told me that I’m one of their most diligent pet parents. Your pets safety and your privacy is always my goal.
About: I have always had a dog and cat throughout my life and grew up learning to care for animals. I have volunteered at a cat cafe recently, where I assisted in care for over 40 cats. I would love to meet your kitty or pup! I recently graduated from Western Michigan University and moved to Detroit. I am currently looking for a job, so besides a few trips up north here and there, I am basically fully available. When I care for your pets, they will get a full day of play and love! I will keep you updated with photos of your pet and leave notes about how they are doing. Any instructions you have left will be followed with the utmost care.
About: I've been a dog owner most of my life and also have two grand dogs and a grand cat who I care for often. I'm experienced with any age, any sized dog and regularly walk two dogs at a time. When can we meet? I'm looking for a way to meet more dogs when away from my grand dogs and want to walk / and exercise more while providing a trustworthy option for your pet(s)! Inclement weather doesn't matter if your pet doesn't mind it. I'm already an experienced and trusted house sitter, plus dog and cat sitter (and can care for houseplants & yards too). I'll respect your privacy and care for your home & pets like I would my own. I'll provide updates and photos to put you at ease. I truly understand that your pets are your children.
“My pup was very happy during the meet and greet and loved her walk. Emily was thorough and detailed with everything and made me feel so comfortable during the whole process”

About: I’ve been watching my friends and family dogs for 10+ years. I’ve grew up with multiple dogs at my house since I was little. I’ve always loved dogs and currently have a rescued Mini schnauzer. I’m new to the St. Clair Shores area. I’ve accepted a role that doesn’t start until August, so I have open availability to take care of your fur babies. The safety, well-being, and comfort of every pet in my care are my highest priorities. I am committed to providing a secure, supervised, and positive environment while following each pet’s individual care instructions. My goal is to ensure both pets and their owners feel confident, informed, and supported throughout every booking.

“Amber is a real trooper, walking Ravi in some of the coldest weather we’ve seen. She’s punctual and friendly and really loves animals. Two thumbs up. Definitely will work with Amber again.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs ever since I was 11. I have two dogs myself who are spoiled rotten and I can’t wait to love on and care for your dog too while you’re away! I am able to set my own schedule and I primarily work from home. I can definitely move around my schedule to help meet you and your dogs needs. All I ask is that you reach out in advance:) I currently don’t offer bringing your dog to my home at this time. My senior dog is not welcoming to new dogs. However, my young dog is very social, so if you’re interested she can come and play with your dog as well.
About: Hi, I am Paige. I have been a Veterinary Technician for 6 years now. My goal all my life was to take care of animals. Animals bring so much joy into our daily lives and I want to make sure that when you are away your animal will still feel loved and never lonely. I am familiar with any type of medical problems your animal might have, so medicating is okay. I have four dogs, a bunny and a cat. There's never a dull moment in my house. I love going on walks with my animals and cuddling under the blankets watching Netflix! Im just one call/text away! Here's to hoping I make many new best friends <3 I can't wait to meet all of the snuggly faces out there!
“Payton is fantastic with Tashi!! She is reliable, sweet, nice and kind. Tashi loves her and can't wait for her next visit. Book Payton, she will be absolutely perfect for you and your pets.”
About: I have been a life long pet owner and animal lover. I have four years experience working at a doggy daycare. In that position I cared for dogs of every age, breed and those with special medical needs. I currently work as a professional skater but my schedule is totally open when I am not competing. I can give advanced notice when I am unavailable to pet sit. Currently I am available for dog walking services and same day pet check ins. For example, I would be happy to come to your home and walk / love on your fur babies during a long work day!
“Jessica is fabulous! I’m kind of a “crazy dog mom” but knowing my dog, Foss, is in Jessica’s care puts me at ease during the day. She sends me lots of pictures on her visits and, most importantly, I can tell she truly loves Foss and all animals and Foss loves/adores her just as much. Thank you, Jessica!”

About: I have fenced in backyard with room to run around. I'm a very loving person towards animals, they have a certain way of always making you feel special. I grew up with a golden retriever and she was the sweetest. I've had fish as well and care about them like I would a dog or cat. I now have my own puppers. She is a 3 year old German Shorthaired Pointer who loves meeting new dogs! I have been dog sitting for many years for family and friends. I used to stay at the owner's houses but now since I have my own dog I ask that the dogs come to my house. I am home most of the day. I love playing outside, going for walks and cuddling up with the pups. I love to meet new dogs and love learning about their breed and their personalities, they're all so different! Leaving your pets with me will guarantee them a fun safe time! I currently work full-time at home so I'm able to be with the dogs if they come to my home. If dog walking is what you need, I have an hour long lunch each day and can come after 4pm as well. I have a large fenced-in yard and a young dog to keep your pup occupied. I have extra kennels at my house if needed, as well as a gate in my hallway if for any reason I would need it. I have many dog toys and treats to keep your dog happy as well. Daily walks are a must, weather permitted.
“Kelly is the best! I work very long hours and I feel like my dog is taken care of so well. My dog seems happy and not anxious at all when I come home at night. I can tell how much Kelly loves dogs and that makes all the difference :)”

About: I have owned five dogs and have fostered about a dozen others. I have taken care of dogs for family and friends when they have gone on vacations. Four of my dogs were rescued from the streets and I inherited the fifth. I also had a cat in my younger years. I enjoy hanging out with animals so taking care of other people's pets feels like a win-win. You get peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands and I get to have some furry friends around. I've had dogs for most of my adult life but don't have any right now. My job requires travel at times so I'm not ready to get my next dog just yet. When I'm not traveling, I work from home and it's always nice to have some furry friends around when I'm at home! I have a large fenced yard and can go outside with your dog if that gives you peace of mind. My house is fairly small but there is plenty of room for crates and toys.
About: I have been on Rover for 2 1/2 years and have loved every minute! I started caring for animals in highschool, feeding them, playing with them and even changing diapers. As I got older I started hosting dogs in my own home. I have watched all kinds of dogs and try to accommodate whatever needs they have. I like to play with them and give them the love they need while their parents are away. I offer boarding, drop-ins, and doggy daycare services! I signed up for this because I love animals and I cannot get enough of their adorable personalities. Thank you for looking over my profile and I hope we will get to connect! :) I work from home so I am able to walk/ play with the dogs frequently and to attend to their needs. My personal dog goes out typically every 2 hours. My current dog is a doodle and requires brushing every other day. I go for frequent on-leash walks usually 2-3 times a day. We also have a fenced in yard that I can let the dogs play in throughout the day. In the evenings we play ball in our house which is very open. I am willing to walk, play, brush, and care for your pups in any way possible. :)
About: I've taken care of my personal pets for 50 years or more, a rabbit, a turtle a guinea pig and lots of dogs and cats. I just recently lost my little Toby due to congestive heart failure in March so I have decided to love and adore other people's fur babies. I'm currently retired and have lots of time on hand to devote to new animals. I live in a safe and friendly environment which allows animals to feel safe and secure. I have a fenced in backyard for them to roam and play freely or a home that's pet friendly. I have time to devote to all pets needs.
About: Hello, I’m Adrianna. I have always loved and cared deeply for animals especially dogs and cats! I’ve been around them my entire life and I wouldn't change that for the world. I volunteer at my local humane society because I love doing good by the furry ones & helping out as much as I can. I've worked with dogs of just about every size, age, condition, and activity level and look forward to meeting yours! I do dog sits, dog walks, and just stoping in to feed your fur babies. The safety and well-being of your dog/dogs is my #1 concern, so I make it a priority to keep you engaged and updated via texts and pictures throughout the stay. I'm definitely no stranger to dogs. Your babies are sure to have a great time interacting with me because caring for animals has always been a passion of mine and I am willing to put all of my time and energy into caring for your pets to make sure they are never scared, lonely, or unhappy during your time away. I have experience with puppies and also senior dogs that need that special love and attention whether it's administering medication or providing special care. I promise with my love for dogs and years of experience, I won't let you down! Always remember that dogs have personalities too:)

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was around nine, helping with feed, bathing and taking puppies out. As well as giving the dogs their medicine and giving them more time with their training commands. Making sure they still follow those. Pet care fits into my daily routine, because I am currently looking for a job and love working with animals so this would be a nice side or main job Since we aren’t allowed to have pets in our home, I am respectful of other others and their suggestions or rules /boundaries of their routines and homes
“Joseph is wonderful with my dog who is normally scared of new people until he’s known them for months. I’ve never seen him be comfortable with someone new immediately before! I have a lot of health issues so having someone I can trust to get my dog some exercise is a huge help..”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover currently living with my two dogs, Chip and Theo. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments through house visits and dog walking, so your pet is in good hands. I always send updates and make it a priority to make sure every pet feels as comfortable as my own. I work in tech so I'm home frequently, meaning your pet won't be left alone for long. I live in a house with a good sized backyard, perfect for dogs to roam, play, and get fresh air When hosting pets in my home, I make sure they have plenty of space and feel comfortable. I live in a house with a closed off backyard, so there is always a safe space to play and get fresh air, plus open space nearby in a quiet, safe neighborhood for walks. They are never cooped up and I am home frequently so they get consistent attention throughout the day. When doing house visits or drop ins, I stick to the pet's routine as much as possible. I handle feeding, walks, litter, and make sure they have everything they need. I always keep the owner updated with photos and messages so they know their pet is in good hands.

Sarah was amazing!! I never had to worry about anything. She never was late always showed up on time, communicated with me every day. She would me pictures of Rocky and made little notes of the day Rocky absolutely adores her. And when the weather was way to cold to go for a walk , she would just stay with him. Let him out to pee a couple times play with him give him some love. Having Sarah taking care of Rocky while I was gone, gave me the peace of mind that I needed to know that he was well taken care of. Thanks, Sara you’re the best❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
