About: Hello! My name is Lucie and I absolutely love pups of all shapes and sizes. From a child, I’ve always had a dog that I’ve cared for of different breeds from Beagle to Elkhound and now a Shepherd/Golden mix. I frequently dog sit for my brother who has an Aussie/Bernie mix. My dog recently suffered a TPLO tear and we’ve had to make significant adjustments due to complications that happened. I learned to help support his 115 pound frame for potty breaks, give shots, and give medications. His surgical team has even joked that I could get a job there once he’s healed up from all that I’ve learned. I work fully remote unless traveling (for which my schedule is blocked). My days are somewhat flexible for before or after my regular job to meet your families needs. Weekends are also very flexible. If you book with me, I will communicate what times I’m available and can send you photos of your babies. I will take care of your 4 legged friend just like they are my own. Having a very smart and large shepherd myself I’m always on the lookout for things he can get into and make sure everything is picked up so he can’t get hurt or in trouble. Our vet office has consistently told me that I’m one of their most diligent pet parents. Your pets safety and your privacy is always my goal.
“Ashley, who goes by “Red,” is an absolutely wonderful human being, and if she is available, book her! Back in May, as a first-time user of Rover, I created 3 separate bookings with a sitter who had glowing reviews. However, on the day of our meet & greet—only 1 week before our first trip—she completely ghosted us. I nearly panicked because I didn’t think we’d be able to find an available sitter on such short notice. I hopped back on Rover, entered my dates, filtered by Star Sitters, and hit “search.” Red was at the top of my search results, and after looking over her profile, I felt like she may be a good choice. Although her calendar showed her as available for the dates of our trip, I was prepared to be let down. I sent her a message explaining our situation. Not only did she respond quickly, she also responded with kindness & empathy. Best of all, she was available to sit for our beloved kitty! AND she volunteered to come over the next morning for a meet & greet! Less than 24 hours after reaching out to her, Red messaged me to let me know she was on her way to my house. Upon opening my door, I immediately liked her. Seriously. She just radiates this incredible energy! She is also so kind, compassionate, and engaging. She explained how she has devoted her life to caring for animals, and she just lit up as she was telling us about it. Best of all? Sassy, our shy & anxious kitty, came out of hiding pretty quickly to investigate her, and by the end of the visit, was giving Red love rubs on her leg! This was unprecedented, and we were absolutely shocked. Sassy’s response to meeting Red left no doubts in our mind; we had chosen the perfect caretaker for our precious kitty. We booked Red for two of our three camping trips. This review is based on our second booking with her, and we couldn’t be more pleased with her! She is the sweetest person! And an excellent communicator, which is vital for us anxious pet parents who are forced to leave our beloved (and vulnerable!) pets home alone. I had no qualms leaving Sassy alone this second time because I knew that Red would take excellent care of her…and she absolutely has! I am so sad that Red is not available for our third trip, but if she’s available next summer, you can bet I will be booking her!”

About: I got my first pets at 21, two mice named Luna and Lena. Since then I've had many more pets including more mice, rats, dogs, and a cat. I have had my dogs for about 7 years. My baby girl Remy, is a wild ball of energy, even at 9. My darling boy Leonard, is a very slow gentle giant who moves like a sloth, so I have experience with dogs across the energy spectrum! My fluffy baby Bean is my first cat. I have learned a lot from him over the last 4 years that Ive had him. He is a cuddly kitty who shows love through playful violence. I say this to explain that I am so used to being torn up a bit by my pets. I understand that pets do not know their strength or sharpness and I will give them the grace needed! My pets are the center of my life. I wake up and immediately refill food and waters and let my dogs outside. While they do their business, I cuddle Bean, my cat. Sadly, after I let my dogs in I have to head out to work. When I get home from work, I always run to get kisses from my dogs. Then I do the same as the morning, check food and water and let them outside. Because my cat and one of my dogs dont get along, I often have to split my time between them but I make sure everyone gets all their cuddles and love. I also dedicate at least 10 minutes twice a day, playing with each of them. I am unable to host others pets at my house as we are full up, but I always treat others homes and pets with the utmost respect. I try my best not to touch anthing that isn't needed and leave the home looking the same or better than when I got there.

Elizabeth was great! We needed a sitter for my cat Yuki last minute and Elizabeth was able to respond to us the day before we had to leave. Ever since my cat has been on heart medication (6 months) I have been scared and reluctant to go out for long term trips. I haven't had anyone take care of Yuki with her meds asides me and my boyfriend and I'm glad I've finally reached out! Elizabeth is very knowledgeable and compassionate about what she does. She was able to care and give my cat Yuki meds fine! I definitely recommend her and we'll be reaching out to her again when we need someone to take care of Yuki!
