About: I have over 25 years of experience caring for, loving and training various dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. My wife and I have 3 rescue dogs and 5 rescue cats, plus we regularly foster puppies and kittens. I know how important it is to ensure your babies are in good hands and safe while you’re away! I’ve worked with dogs and cats of many different ages, breeds, and temperaments over the years and have experience with potty, obedience and leash training, as well as caring for senior animals or administering medication etc. I love every pet as if they were my own!! I work fully remote so am entirely flexible throughout my day, including nights and weekends. I am able to accommodate the needs of the pet whether it involves a quick stop or an extended stay. I will always make sure your pet is secured in a fenced yard or on a leash. I don’t even like to leave pets unattended in the yard without keeping an eye on them. In the house it is important that boundaries are adhered to if there are certain areas off limits, and crate trained dogs are secured in their crate when left at home.
“I felt completely confident with knowing that my two cats were in caring, responsible, and attentive hands with Audrey! She has a spirit of humility and service. My cat’s new, best friend! Thank you, Audrey!!”

“Dawn is very accommodating, flexible and great at communicating. We would use her again for sure. Our cats did great with her and one of our cats is very hard to win over. Thank you Dawn for your great care of our pack.”

About: Dogs are the best. I had a Boston growing up and he was the best. Having a dog taught me a lot. Let that’s experience be beneficial to you! I am currently unemployed so I am available most days. I can drop in mornings, evenings, and nights. I love going on walks so let me take your dog along with me. I treat animals with care and respect. I treat them like they are my own animals. I respect boundaries and want to make the animal feel comfortable
“We just moved to MI and we found Ashley on Rover. She has had four visits with Max so far and he loves her. Max is 17 years old - blind and deaf - so we are very particular about who takes care of him. Thank you Ashley.”

“She was excellent for a drop in with my dogs. My German shepherd was very accepting of her. She took photos and gave my dogs pets and played fetch. So happy to have someone like her to check in on my dogs-when my family and I are out. I have already booked again with her ?”

About: I have over 45 years experience taking care of cats and dogs and also have volunteered for several years in dog shelters when I am on vacation. I am now retired and after losing my dog of over 16 years I want to open my home to dogs needing care. I am retired so I have sufficient time to care for your pet and take them for walks since I do not have to leave for work. I strive to give you the best value in care. I love to walk so I make sure your pet gets plenty of outside time amd walks if they like to walk. Pets have free roam in my house and are allowed on the furniture , bed etc. I live in a quiet area close to parks and they will get walks in and plenty of outside time. I have a fenced yard also.
“She was absolutely amazing! Our cat has diabetes and needs injections every 12 hours. She was on time every single drop in, she kept us updated on everything. My cat even looked disappointed to see me when I got home. I highly recommend her to anyone especially if your pet has any kind of medical needs! Thank you Brittany for taking such great care of Sorin!”

About: Hello! My name is Lucie and I absolutely love pups of all shapes and sizes. From a child, I’ve always had a dog that I’ve cared for of different breeds from Beagle to Elkhound and now a Shepherd/Golden mix. I frequently dog sit for my brother who has an Aussie/Bernie mix. My dog recently suffered a TPLO tear and we’ve had to make significant adjustments due to complications that happened. I learned to help support his 115 pound frame for potty breaks, give shots, and give medications. His surgical team has even joked that I could get a job there once he’s healed up from all that I’ve learned. I work fully remote unless traveling (for which my schedule is blocked). My days are somewhat flexible to meet your families needs. Weekends are also very flexible. If you book with me, I will communicate what times I’m available and can send you photos of your babies. I will take care of your 4 legged friend just like they are my own. Having a very smart and large shepherd myself I’m always on the lookout for things he can get into and make sure everything is picked up so he can’t get hurt or in trouble. Our vet office has consistently told me that I’m one of their most diligent pet parents. Your pets safety and your privacy is always my goal.
“Mary was on time, and took the best care of my babies! I felt very comfortably knowing they were being well taken care of! Will recommend her and use her in the future. She followed all of my many instructions/ and was loving towards my sweet fur babies.”

“Jillian consistently went above and beyond caring for my dog while I was out of town. She always left detailed reviews with so many pictures and even looked in on my cats that are pretty self sufficient, though it wasn’t in the original plan. Wish I could give her 10 stars 😁”

“This was our first time using Meagan for our 2 cats. She did a great job communicating with us and even with requests to help with packages/mail while we were away. She also was super awesome and took the cat trash out for us before we came home! We finally found someone in our area to help out when we are out of town! Thank you!”

“Hannah took great care of our kitties and bearded dragon! She was on time, and made sure she laid eyes on everyone. She sent pics and was very good at communicating with me from first contact. Highly recommend and will certainly re-book. Thanks for the peace of mind while we were gone, Hannah!”

About: I have fenced in backyard with room to run around. I'm a very loving person towards animals, they have a certain way of always making you feel special. I grew up with a golden retriever and she was the sweetest. I've had fish as well and care about them like I would a dog or cat. I now have my own puppers. She is a 3 year old German Shorthaired Pointer who loves meeting new dogs! I have been dog sitting for many years for family and friends. I used to stay at the owner's houses but now since I have my own dog I ask that the dogs come to my house. I am home most of the day. I love playing outside, going for walks and cuddling up with the pups. I love to meet new dogs and love learning about their breed and their personalities, they're all so different! Leaving your pets with me will guarantee them a fun safe time! I currently work full-time at home so I'm able to be with the dogs if they come to my home. If dog walking is what you need, I have an hour long lunch each day and can come after 4pm as well. I have a large fenced-in yard and a young dog to keep your pup occupied. I have extra kennels at my house if needed, as well as a gate in my hallway if for any reason I would need it. I have many dog toys and treats to keep your dog happy as well. Daily walks are a must, weather permitted.
“Jessica is wonderful! I needed someone to play with my poor babies while I worked on a project. She was here ASAP when I made the last minute request. She wore my babies out playing outside, and they slept the rest of the night, happy and calm.”
“Martina did an amazing job with Freya! She was attentive, responsive, and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable with trusting her to care for Freya since this was my first time using rover. Thank you Martina!”

About: I have always had a dog and cat throughout my life and grew up learning to care for animals. I have volunteered at a cat cafe recently, where I assisted in care for over 40 cats. I would love to meet your kitty or pup! I recently graduated from Western Michigan University and moved to Detroit. I am currently looking for a job, so besides a few trips up north here and there, I am basically fully available. When I care for your pets, they will get a full day of play and love! I will keep you updated with photos of your pet and leave notes about how they are doing. Any instructions you have left will be followed with the utmost care.
“Chynna was great for my pups, cleaning up their surprise messes for me and all! Timely, communicative, and my dogs look like they gave good cuddles. Would love to have Chynna back!”

“Misty is wonderful, she dropped in on my fur baby over the weekend and took great care of him. She came by before the weekend to learn his routine, sent me pictures during their visits, brought her dog on walks (he loves other dogs) for company, played with him and was very easy to get a hold of. I came back to a happy pup! Thanks Misty!”

Elizabeth was great! We needed a sitter for my cat Yuki last minute and Elizabeth was able to respond to us the day before we had to leave. Ever since my cat has been on heart medication (6 months) I have been scared and reluctant to go out for long term trips. I haven't had anyone take care of Yuki with her meds asides me and my boyfriend and I'm glad I've finally reached out! Elizabeth is very knowledgeable and compassionate about what she does. She was able to care and give my cat Yuki meds fine! I definitely recommend her and we'll be reaching out to her again when we need someone to take care of Yuki!

Danielle is the best ever! My shy and “picky eater” senior cat absolutely loved Danielle at the 1st visit. She is truly the “animal whisperer.” I was able to vacation stress free knowing my fur baby was being loved and cared for. I will surely have Danielle again to look after my senior baby again. She was quick to respond to any and all of my concerns. Thank you Danielle. You’re the best !!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Roseville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
