“Audrey was phenomenal. She was willing to help me with my dog with very little notice. She is very kind, respectful and thoughtful. Moxie had fun hanging out with Audrey. I definitely plan on booking her again.”

“Ashley was so great with our pups! The dogs got into something before she visited & she was so helpful getting their mess cleaned up. We are grateful for Ashley!”

“Bridget is incredible!! She took excellent care of my two dogs and two cats while I was out of town for a week and a half. Bridget came by every day to feed everyone lunch, and cuddle and play with all four. She provided extra special care to my older lab/pit bull, who needs a lot of help getting into and out of the house. I highly recommend Bridget and look forward to working with her again.”

“This was our second time having Mary take care of Gus and Gino while we were out of town. We really appreciate Mary’s flexibility - we had to change our schedule a couple of times, and she’s so gracious and understanding. I also appreciate the “extra” she provided in handling a sensitive package that arrived earlier than expected. Gino loves the attention from Mary - Gus is still a bit shy but I am positive he will come out of his shell eventually. Mary did a great job keeping us updated and we loved the check ins and photos! We’ll definitely have Mary care for Gus and Gino again in the future!”

“Nicole is wonderful with our dogs! She takes excellent care of both our puppy and senior pup. It gives us so much peace of mind while we're at work knowing that they have such a kind and compassionate caregiver stopping by. She is flexible and accommodating when our schedules change. I highly reccomend her services!”
About: Hello! My name is Lucie and I absolutely love pups of all shapes and sizes. From a child, I’ve always had a dog that I’ve cared for of different breeds from Beagle to Elkhound and now a Shepherd/Golden mix. I frequently dog sit for my brother who has an Aussie/Bernie mix. My dog recently suffered a TPLO tear and we’ve had to make significant adjustments due to complications that happened. I learned to help support his 115 pound frame for potty breaks, give shots, and give medications. His surgical team has even joked that I could get a job there once he’s healed up from all that I’ve learned. I work fully remote unless traveling (for which my schedule is blocked). My days are somewhat flexible to meet your families needs. Weekends are also very flexible. If you book with me, I will communicate what times I’m available and can send you photos of your babies. I will take care of your 4 legged friend just like they are my own. Having a very smart and large shepherd myself I’m always on the lookout for things he can get into and make sure everything is picked up so he can’t get hurt or in trouble. Our vet office has consistently told me that I’m one of their most diligent pet parents. Your pets safety and your privacy is always my goal.

About: I’ve been watching my friends and family dogs for 10+ years. I’ve grew up with multiple dogs at my house since I was little. I’ve always loved dogs and currently have a rescued Mini schnauzer. I’m new to the St. Clair Shores area. I’ve accepted a role that doesn’t start until August, so I have open availability to take care of your fur babies. The safety, well-being, and comfort of every pet in my care are my highest priorities. I am committed to providing a secure, supervised, and positive environment while following each pet’s individual care instructions. My goal is to ensure both pets and their owners feel confident, informed, and supported throughout every booking.
“She was absolutely amazing! Our cat has diabetes and needs injections every 12 hours. She was on time every single drop in, she kept us updated on everything. My cat even looked disappointed to see me when I got home. I highly recommend her to anyone especially if your pet has any kind of medical needs! Thank you Brittany for taking such great care of Sorin!”

“Hannah does an awesome job visiting my high maintenance Doberman puppy. I always book last minute. She is very reliable, ethical, and has been a lifesaver for our family a number of times. I have full trust in her taking care of my dog and highly recommend her!”

“Jillian was great with my 16 week old puppy. She was very communicative and helped with his training during a drop in visit! I will definitely be requesting her for repeat visits!”

“Emily is great! She always ensures my sweet puppy is taken care of. I never have to worry when he is with her. I'm thankful we found someone so kind to take care of our puppy. I highly recommend her if you need someone to take care of your dog!”

“This was our first time using Meagan for our 2 cats. She did a great job communicating with us and even with requests to help with packages/mail while we were away. She also was super awesome and took the cat trash out for us before we came home! We finally found someone in our area to help out when we are out of town! Thank you!”

“Martina did an amazing job with Freya! She was attentive, responsive, and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable with trusting her to care for Freya since this was my first time using rover. Thank you Martina!”

“Chynna was great for my pups, cleaning up their surprise messes for me and all! Timely, communicative, and my dogs look like they gave good cuddles. Would love to have Chynna back!”

About: I’ve cared for 11 dogs throughout my life, pups from 8 weeks old all the way to 16 years old. I’m comfortable with every stage, from playful puppies to sweet seniors who need a little extra patience and gentle care. Senior dogs have a special place in my heart. I have experience giving medications, supporting mobility needs, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable in their golden years. I’m also able to do nail trims and baths, and I’ve cared for breeds ranging from pugs to pit bulls, size doesn’t matter! I’m confident handling dogs on walks, in public, or relaxing at home. In my free time, I volunteer with Detroit Animal Care and Control, taking dogs out for walks and public outings. I’m comfortable with all temperaments and energy levels and always prioritize safety, structure, and lots of love. I’m a full-time teacher, so I’m available on weekdays for early morning care before work, or after 3:30 PM for walks, drop-ins, and evening care. I’m also available for boarding on weekends. During the summer and school breaks, my schedule opens up and I have much more daytime availability and flexibility. This allows me to provide extra attention, longer walks, and consistent care. I’m reliable, communicative, and great at sticking to routines to help your pup feel safe and comfortable! Caring for pets in your home: When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as normal and consistent as possible. I follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, and exercise routines exactly as provided. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, enrichment, and affection while also respecting their space and comfort level. I keep the home clean and tidy, provide updates with photos, and communicate clearly so you always feel at ease while you’re away. I’m attentive to behavior changes and will immediately notify you if anything seems off. Caring for pets in my home: I have a fully fenced-in yard for secure outdoor time, and my home is one story on a slab foundation — which is especially ideal for senior dogs or pups with mobility needs (no stairs to worry about!). There are no other animals in the home, so your dog will receive my full attention in a calm, low-stress environment. I’m also happy to crate your dog if that’s part of their routine and helps them feel safe and secure.
About: I have always had a dog and cat throughout my life and grew up learning to care for animals. I have volunteered at a cat cafe recently, where I assisted in care for over 40 cats. I would love to meet your kitty or pup! I recently graduated from Western Michigan University and moved to Detroit. I am currently looking for a job, so besides a few trips up north here and there, I am basically fully available. When I care for your pets, they will get a full day of play and love! I will keep you updated with photos of your pet and leave notes about how they are doing. Any instructions you have left will be followed with the utmost care.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Roseville
Audrey was an absolute god-send! I'm in the military and was looking for someone to drop in and check on my dogs while I was away. It was quite nerve wrecking as this was the first time in 5 years I couldn't find a friend or family member to take care of them. But, I remembered Rover was quite a trusty service from my own time as a dog sitter on the app and quickly ran to it. The dogs did phenomenal with her, she sent great daily updates, and the pictures she took of them helped me feel at ease while I was away. If she had any questions while I was away, she was sure to message me which was sincerely appreciated. Myself and the dogs liked her so much, I've already booked her for future dates! Top notch dog sitter I highly recommend!

Elizabeth was great! We needed a sitter for my cat Yuki last minute and Elizabeth was able to respond to us the day before we had to leave. Ever since my cat has been on heart medication (6 months) I have been scared and reluctant to go out for long term trips. I haven't had anyone take care of Yuki with her meds asides me and my boyfriend and I'm glad I've finally reached out! Elizabeth is very knowledgeable and compassionate about what she does. She was able to care and give my cat Yuki meds fine! I definitely recommend her and we'll be reaching out to her again when we need someone to take care of Yuki!

Hannah does an awesome job visiting my high maintenance Doberman puppy. I always book last minute. She is very reliable, ethical, and has been a lifesaver for our family a number of times. I have full trust in her taking care of my dog and highly recommend her!

Danielle is the best ever! My shy and “picky eater” senior cat absolutely loved Danielle at the 1st visit. She is truly the “animal whisperer.” I was able to vacation stress free knowing my fur baby was being loved and cared for. I will surely have Danielle again to look after my senior baby again. She was quick to respond to any and all of my concerns. Thank you Danielle. You’re the best !!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
