“Jo is incredible, and I feel so lucky to have found her. She takes such thoughtful, loving care of Jake every single visit. She plays with him, gives him tons of affection, and always makes sure he gets outside time to explore. I love that she even updates me on the things he forages in the backyard — it shows how closely she pays attention to him. About: Hi! My name is Kasidy and I’m 23 years old. I have three dogs Migz, Oakley and Winston. I also have a 17 year old cat, Oreo. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and I don’t know what I’d do without them. I know how special they are to us and how much love they deserve! I’ve watched other people’s pets for as long as I can remember, whether it was a neighbor when I was 12 or my friends dog at 23! Please reach out if you’d be interested! I am a PRN home health aide therefore I create my schedule. I go to school full time with my classes being on Tuesdays and Thursdays so my time is limited those days but still available for drop ins in the AM and PM! My dogs use an electric fence currently but I’ve had dogs that also didn’t use one! I know it’s different for every household and pet and I’m willing to follow all the instructions to keep your pet safe!
“Ashley was so amazing during my whole trip! She was super flexible and very detailed in her updates plus tons of photos. Definitely will be booking with her again next time I need to go on a trip 💖”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Utica
Sam has been a lovely dog sitter for our puppy. She’s watched our Bernedoodle, Kirkland, since he was a few months old, and we trust her with him more than almost anyone. This summer Kirkland had some GI issues, and our feeding instructions changed more than once, sometimes on short notice. Sam just rolled with it every time, no confusion, no complaints. She’s always on time, sends updates without us asking, and has even helped reinforce his training instead of just walking him and calling it a day. When he’s had accidents, she’s cleaned it up without a second thought. She really cares for our dog and she genuinely knows his personality. Anyone who books her is getting someone who treats your dog like her own. We recommend her to everyone we know with a pet.

Jo is great. She really cares about her client (Rafa). Professional, personal and caring are just a few words for her. My dog (Rafa) is really starting to build a great relationship with her. She goes above and beyond what was expected of her. Jo is the exactly the right person for Rafa. He really loves her and she truly shows love for him. I would recommend Jo to anyone. She is a great person and really cares about her clients.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
