“Shelby was absolutely amazing with Winnie. She was super friendly and welcoming at the meet and Gerry and through all the visits with Winnie. I would highly recommend her!!”

“First time using Adam he did a great job and my 2 cats were well looked after and seemed happy when we returned from our trip. I will us Adam again for watching my cats.”

“Angela was absolutely amazing! Five stars isn't enough! This was our first experience with Rover so my husband and I were nervous about having someone come in to take care of Diesel (and the two feral cats that come around). At our initial meet and greet, Angela immediately put our minds at ease and were comforted that our cats would be well cared for. Angela came over 2x each day and provided updates and photos after every visit, her communication was outstanding. We would definitely have Angela back in a heartbeat!”

“Mackenzie is an extremely professional, knowledgeable, relaxed and animal loving person! Being a first time Rover user, I had my concerns but from the very first visit I was put at ease with the respect for my home and the constant updates on my pets, complete with a final review of the entire visit each time! She gave me real time updates on my pets and how they handled any encounters made during her visits with maintenance visits to the property. She allowed me to relax on my trip! Thank you so much I will be booking again!”

“Lindsey was great with my 3 cats one of them needing nightly meds. She communicated with me every visit and she took our trash out wacummed before we got home.”

“Samantha is our go to for drop in visits for our senior tabby cats. She is reliable, communicates effectively, and always sends photos with her updates. We highly recommend Samantha and will definitely use her in the future.”

“Lily has helped us out three times now and we can’t say enough good things! She’s great with both of our dogs, takes tons of pictures, and is always letting us know how things are going throughout our trip! Lily is AMAZING!”

“Danielle was so great helping me out over a holiday. She communicated and we were able to text while she was at my house, which always helps a mom away! Very caring for both my big dog and my senior cat. Will use again!”

“Olivia is a very sweet person I was lucky enough to have take care of my precious cat Luna. She made sure she was well aware of her needs and went beyond her responsibilities by trying to just be a friend to Luna while I was away. I would recommend Olivia to anyone. 10 out of 10”

“Had Sarah do a drop-in visit with our 2 pups and she did an excellent job. Communications are effective and very professional. She does a great job of caring for our "boys".”

“Ashley was so great with our pups! The dogs got into something before she visited & she was so helpful getting their mess cleaned up. We are grateful for Ashley!”

“Jackie is absolutely wonderful!! She takes such great care of our pup when we’re away. The updates and pictures she sends are always fantastic and make us feel better about being away from home. Jackie is the absolute best and the only one we trust to watch Nigel! Can’t recommend her enough!”

About: Hi! My name is Kasidy and I’m 23 years old. I have three dogs Migz, Oakley and Winston. I also have a 17 year old cat, Oreo. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and I don’t know what I’d do without them. I know how special they are to us and how much love they deserve! I’ve watched other people’s pets for as long as I can remember, whether it was a neighbor when I was 12 or my friends dog at 23! Please reach out if you’d be interested! I am a PRN home health aide therefore I create my schedule. I go to school full time with my classes being on Tuesdays and Thursdays so my time is limited those days but still available for drop ins in the AM and PM! My dogs use an electric fence currently but I’ve had dogs that also didn’t use one! I know it’s different for every household and pet and I’m willing to follow all the instructions to keep your pet safe!
About: I grew up with cats and have raised two pups since they were around 10 weeks old. I’ve taken them to multiple levels of training classes and groom them at home. I treat my animals like they’re my children and would be happy to spread my love along to your furry friends! I work from home during the week, so I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to fit in pet care easily! I enjoy keeping busy, especially if it includes being around furry friends! I ensure pets receive adequate amount of food, playtime, attention and love each day. One of my pets was diagnosed with anxiety as a puppy, which has been a huge learning experience during walks and interactions with other dogs and people. I am a very patient person and would be happy to take care of pets regardless of their needs, personalities and behaviors. :)

About: I have been caring for my family pets my whole life. I have cared for babies to seniors. I am very comfortable giving oral, eye, ear, and injection medicines on a set schedule. I find daily enrichment important as well as keeping them properly fed, and taking care of routine and unique potty and litter box care. My pets are my children. We have scheduled feeding times, potty breaks, and litter cleaning daily. As animals are unpredictable, I am always ready for the moment everything changes and we have to go off schedule. When it comes to walks, I always check the weather and any factors that will alter the routine, such as avoiding hot sidewalks, a jacket in the cold, or a shorter leash in neighborhoods and a little extra freedom when it is safe to do so. Every animal is different and has different needs. In the home it is important to keep to the animal’s routine as much as possible. It is also imperative to pay attention to each animal’s cues. It is expected for them to have different needs when their parents aren’t home. On walks one must be prepared for different environments and be ready to react to the unexpected.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Utica. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
