“Angela is a true professional at caring for pets. We have 2 Cats and a Box Turtle, the one Cat is elderly and required 2 visits a day. Angela never missed a beat taking excellent care of them in our home while we were on vacation for week. She was always there at our agreed times, spending quality time caring for our pets. We looked forward to her descriptive text message and pictures on Rover documenting visits. This was our 1st experience with Rover and thanks to Angela were planning more vacations in the future. Highly recommended!!!”

“Deena is great with my cats! She asked lots of good questions when she came over to talk about care of my elderly cats, and texted me later with some more. I had to change some things up while I was away, and she was really good to roll with them. She also took good care of our plants and filled our bird feeder. This is her third time taking care of our babies and we will definitely use her again! She even took some really fabulous pictures of our pets for us.”

“Jen did a wonderful job taking care of Thunder who suffers from speration anxiety, required medication and belly bands to manage his marking issues. Communication was great and flexibility was amazing. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs through personal pet-sitting and have developed a strong understanding of their daily needs, routines, and behaviors. I enjoy spending time with animals and am committed to making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or simply providing companionship, I take pride in giving pets the same care and attention I would give my own! As an at-home college student, I have a pretty flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable pet care throughout the week. I can accommodate feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and regular check-ins while ensuring pets receive all of my attention and affection. I can happily care for your furry companions any day of the week, Saturdays, and Sundays as well with plenty of room for sleepovers and weekly stays! I understand how important it is to trust somebody else with your pet, and I like to take that responsibility very seriously. I make sure to pay close attention to routines, behavior, and special instructions given to me by owners to ensure the best possible care. Communication is crucial so I enjoy sending updates by phone to clients so they know their pets are happy and well cared for. When going outside, dogs will be leashed for walks and supervised at all times!

“Samantha was fantastic! She ensured my cat took her daily medication and communicated everything that was happening while I was gone. She also kept me updated with pictures of all of my cats instead of just the one she was there to take care of 🤩”

“We really appreciate it Danielle‘s time. She stopped by to meet the dogs ahead of time and got to know them and know what we needed. She kept us up-to-date on what she was doing with the dogs. We really appreciate her friendly style.”

About: I grew up with cats and have raised two pups since they were around 10 weeks old. I’ve taken them to multiple levels of training classes and groom them at home. I treat my animals like they’re my children and would be happy to spread my love along to your furry friends! I work from home during the week, so I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to fit in pet care easily! I enjoy keeping busy, especially if it includes being around furry friends! I ensure pets receive adequate amount of food, playtime, attention and love each day. One of my pets was diagnosed with anxiety as a puppy, which has been a huge learning experience during walks and interactions with other dogs and people. I am a very patient person and would be happy to take care of pets regardless of their needs, personalities and behaviors. :)
“Madeline was absolutely wonderful! She did daily drop in visits and took amazing care of my cat while I was away. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly genuinely cared about my cat’s well being. I loved getting updates and knowing my cat was in such good hands. It gave me total peace of mind while I was gone. I came home to a happy, well cared for cat, which says everything. I would 100% recommend Madeline to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again!!! :-)”

About: I have a long long history with dogs. I have had pitbulls all my life and I will forever hold a place for them in my heart! I love all dogs truly. I am open to cats if they are friendly 😅! I do work a 9am-4pm work shift and don’t get home usually until 4:45pm. I am open to drop ins and anything else that helps your travel time truly! I can do frequent walks as soon as I wake up, before I leave for work and any time after I am home from work. Weekends I am usually freed up with a lot of time so I don’t mind walks or anything needed for your pet☺️. I live in an apartment so frequent walks is something i’m completely okay with. I would say if you have pets that don’t work well with prolonged times not using the bathroom I wouldn’t be a great fit just do to my day to day work schedule. Weekends are completely free! I’m comfortable giving medicine on a schedule, long walks or baths or anything your pet may need so you can be worry free! I do have a son that has been around big and small dogs and i’m comfortable training or correcting if needed! Just know any dog or cat is in great hands with me☺️❤️!
“Absolutely amazing. She has a big dog of her own and warmed up quickly to my big dogs. Very nice, professional, and punctual. Also takes great pictures of your pets for you.”

Lauren is so great with my dog, Denver! She asks great questions to make sure she knows how best to take care of him and seems to really understand and enjoy dogs in general. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
