“I had a wonderful experience with the dog-sitting service! My dog was well cared for, loved, and treated with patience and kindness. I really appreciated the communication and updates while I was away, which gave me peace of mind. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their furry family member!”

“Amazing!! Our doodle loves going to Kellie’s to hangout with her doodle and her kiddos. She does a great job accommodating and keeping us updated with pics. We’ve used her twice now and will continue to do so!”

“Sogol was nice, kind, thoughtful helpful, caring.... I could go on and on. She not only took great care of O.C., she sent pictures regularly and informative updates almost hourly! "Thank you" is not enough. Sogol is wonderful.”

“Craig was great with my dog. I had to leave him for a week and Craig was very good with him taking him for walks and sending me pictures everyday. He is easy going and I will leave my pup with him if the need arrives anytime.”

“Ashley was an absolute DREAM to work with. I have a shy, sometimes reactive, very particular pup and Ashley listened to all of my concerns and tips and instantly became one of Bear’s BEST friends. This was my first experience ever leaving my pup with anyone and I do not think I will ever have a better one. If you have any hesitation leaving your pup leave them with Ashley!! She lives on a beautiful farm and takes advantage of all of its beauty with your pup, Bear got daily walks around the farm and I was updated with the cutest pictures. Thank you so much Ashley, Bear and I cherish the time you to spent together.”

About: I have been rescuing dogs for almost 2 decades. Needless to say, I love dogs. I currently have a great Pyrenees and she would love Company. I work 100% remote from home., my yard has a 6 foot privacy fence am I Home is very dog friendly. I am also experienced in taking care of diabetic dogs, including testing and injections twice a day, monitoring food and making sure that all the dogs under my hair get daily walks, and lots of love. I work 100% remote. My day doesn’t start until nine, which allows me to spend time in the morning either playing with the dogs going for walks. I live in a very dog friendly neighborhood around those days that the weather doesn’t permit us to go out I have what we call beauty time.. I walk my dog every evening for at least 30 minutes and if the day is nice, we try to get some time in during lunch as well My house and backyard are very pet friendly. I am not someone who gets upset if there’s an accident after all they’re pets, stuff’s gonna happen. I have a 6 foot privacy fence in my backyard. My dog prefers to sleep outside, but for the dogs that I’m sitting I prefer they be inside with me.
“Best dog sitter in town! Excellent communication. Tons of walks and pictures. Our dogs weren’t even that excited to see us at pickup time. They love staying over at Angelina’s house!”

“Rachael cares for my dog as if they were her own. She is extremely professional, responsible, and caring. She is very flexible and reliable and has made our weekend stress free. She provides very personalized care- easy to reach and gives updates during our dog’s stay! Highly recommend and will most definitely book again!”

“Avri is amazing with Annie! She is calm and attentive, and Annie clearly feels comfortable with her. Avri was also flexible and accommodating with my changing schedule, which I greatly appreciated. Highly recommend!”

“Tory was absolutely wonderful! I have always had great experiences with Rover. When the person I used the last time was not available, I contacted Tory. It was obvious from the first meeting - her love for dogs and that she would welcome them into her home as if they were her own. She took such great care of my two little pomies while I was out of town for 3 days. She sent many photos and I knew when I picked them up that they had been in a happy place! I will definitely use her the next time! I highly recommend her!!!”

“We’ve left our shepherd with Chris and Cassandra a handful of times this summer and every single time has been stellar. Very knowledgeable and keeps us very updated with our shepherd’s wellbeing. Having dogs of their own is also great since it gives our boy a chance to socialize and feel part of a pack. Can’t say enough good things about these two!”

“Every cell of concern and worry about leaving my dog for the first time for a few days with A C. was immediately removed with their kindness, concern, attention to details and constant pictures, communications and videos during his time with them. He arrived home well exercised, calm and cared for! I recommend them highly and will use them many times! again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Grosse Pointe Woods
Sarah and her family were awesome with our dog Wrigley. It's been years since we left him with anyone. We brought him to her house and immediately he was running around and didn't seem to care that we left him. We felt really comfortable when we left him and never worried about him. We received lots of updates, photos and videos. Wrigley always looked happy. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing he was in good hands. I'm sure he got a lot more attention at their house. I will definitely use Sarah again; she is now our go to person for Wrigley.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
