“Abbey was wonderful! I’m always nervous about leaving our sweet Goldendoodle with people but I felt completely comfortable during our time away and knew Abbey was taking the best care of him. Ford is pretty great too!”

“We are so thankful to Erika and her family for looking after our Dexter so well! We got daily updates and pictures of all the fun he was having. Erika did an amazing job administering his medicine. It was such a relief to have Dexter in such good hands. Thank you so much!”

“Sofia was very patient, attentive and sweet with my senior dog. When he got an upset tummy, as he sometimes does, she handled it like a champ, contacting me, cleaning up, keeping him calm and comfortable, reaching out to Rover vet line. When he was feeling better, she took him for walks - his favorite! Thank you Sofia!”

“Shivadarshini was great to work with! When I reached out to her about Biscuit staying over while we were away, she offered Biscuit and I stop to by for a quick visit ahead of time to make sure we were both comfortable with her staying for a week. Biscuit had a great time playing with her dogs as well. She sent outfits twice a day which was so sweet and kind of her to think about doing. She met any need or requirement I asked for. Biscuit will be visiting again next time we are out of town.”

“I had a great experience with Cody and would absolutely book with him again. Throughout my dog’s 6-night stay, I received updates and photos on days 1, 3, and 5, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My dog can be pretty anxious, especially in new environments, but Cody handled him with patience and care. When I picked him up, I could clearly tell he had grown comfortable and even formed a bond with Cody, which says a lot. He was nervous at drop-off, but it was reassuring to see how much more relaxed and at ease he was by the end of his stay. Cody created a safe, welcoming environment and was easy to communicate with throughout the process. I really appreciated the attention given to my dog’s needs and overall well-being. Thank you again for taking good care of him—I’d definitely trust Cody with my pup in the future.”
“Sinan was absolutely amazing! He took amazing care of our dog and we will absolutely be asking him to dog sit in the future. It was our first time leaving our dog with a sitter, and he made us feel so comfortable!”

“Spike had such a good time over there, and you could see how happy he was through all the pictures. He was one of the pack and I’m super excited to have found Allesha to take care of him :)”

“Rachel and her husband are great with Marley. He actually likes going over there. Not sure why but he extremely likes Rachel. And Rachel does an excellent job. Takes care of Marley very well, even sends me pictures of him having fun. I’m so glad Rachel’s linked up with the Rover company.”

About: Hi there! My name is Madison and I’m a lifelong dog lover with a pup, Louie of my own. I’ve lived with dogs pretty much my whole life and have experience dog sitting from Michigan to Manhattan! I’m very active and engaged and would love to care for your fur baby—from walks to games to a snuggle on the couch. Because I work from home, I am very flexible and able to work with the needs of any client. Having had dogs my whole life, I understand the importance of working within a dog’s schedule for walks, potty breaks, and mealtimes. I live close to a dog park in a very walkable neighborhood, with a friendly pup of my own if your dog enjoys having a companion!
“Omg (Z) was the best. This was my first time having to leave my son with a stranger. She treated him like her son, she walked him daily, sent pictures, she communicated properly, she let me know how he was reacting to the environment. Overall at 10 plus. I have found my new sitter. Thank you Z you’re great.”

“Frankie came home tired and that’s a sign of a good stay. We got updates and pictures during our overnight boarding and we’re very pleased. Will definitely use Whitney & Samuel in the future.”

“Kyra is so wonderful with our anxious Mochi. She got her to warm up with her overnight without overwhelming her. Love all the updates and photos she sent to keep us informed on how our dog is settling in. So happy we found her and will definitely book again for our future travels.”

“Yelitsa took exceptional care of my pet, Enoki. I was totally comfortable knowing that my pet was in good hands. The daily update pictures informed me that Enoki was happy. Excellent service!!!”

Angela was super great with my 3 year old pitty mix! This was my first time using Rover and I was a little nervous but Angela was super sweet and kind and sent me pictures of my dog the entire time. Lady had so much fun! I definitely recommend Angela! 10/10 . Thank you Angela, Lady will be back to see you next time we are in town!

Daniel took excellent care of Koda. Our giant Newfoundland felt completely at home, enjoying new friends, great companionship, and plenty of attention. Koda got some exercise, and we especially appreciated the regular updates and photos that Daniel shared with us. It was wonderful to see Koda having such a great time and enjoying his stay. We could tell that Koda was well cared for and happy throughout his visit. We highly recommend Daniel and would not hesitate to leave Koda in his care again.

My dog, Zion was very happy with Breanna’s care. Breanna made our first time apart less stressful. I did not worry at all the entire trip away. Her daily updates, patience nature, and professionalism allowed us to rest comfortable knowing Zion was in good and capable hands.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
