“Angela is communicative, kind and friendly. I’ve never used Rover before and I am so happy I did. My dog Sammy is high energy and a bit needy so I was nervous. But it worked out great and I was so glad to see everyday that Sammy was in great hands and having fun. A++++ THANK YOU”

“Jax had a great time with Natalia. He loved playing with her dog and my daughter loved that she sent pictures during his stay. Would definitely recommend. I was nervous as this was our first time leaving him with someone but would not hesitate to do it again with Natalia. Thanks for taking such great care of Jax”

“I was nervous because this was the first time I'd left Picasso with someone he didn't know. Ekow was extremely kind and sent updates of a happy dog daily, which made me feel much better. We've found a new sitter and I will definitely be reaching out anytime we need a sitter. Five stars!!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finding someone you trust with a beloved pet is incredibly difficult, so I can’t stress enough how relieved and grateful I am to have found Evelyn. Her home is clean, organized, and very pet-friendly, and it’s obvious from the moment you meet her that she genuinely loves animals. She is kind, patient, responsive, and made me feel completely comfortable leaving Button in her care. She communicated promptly, answered questions, and treated Button with the same love and attention that I would. Trust is everything when it comes to our furry family members, and I feel very fortunate to have found someone I can truly trust. Thank you, Evelyn, for taking such wonderful care of Button. We are both looking forward to seeing you again! 🐾❤️”

“Jess was very accommodating on a last minute trip I had planned. She was very flexible with my schedule and availability to meet. I was extremely nervous as this was my first time utilizing Rover, as I usually book with PetSmart but I wanted to make sure my senior dog was well taken care of as boarding can be stressful for older dogs. Once we had the meet and greet, my dogs immediately loved Jess. She made sure that their routine stayed as close to the same as at home to ensure their comfort, and sent pictures and updates daily (which I loved). Even when we picked our dogs up, they still wanted to play and love on her so I knew they had a blast. If you’re wary about booking with Jess, this review is for you, she was absolutely awesome.”

“My dog stayed here for several days and had a wonderful time. Mou & Yanling were caring, communicative. I really appreciated the videos updates. Highly recommend!”

“If you have a small dog, Beverly is unreal. My frenchie loves going to her home. She is given so much love, care and attention the entire time she is there. She has her own bed and rest area during the day with lots of toys. She never goes in a crate or cage, and plays all day long. At night Beverly lets my cookie sleep in the bed. If you are reading this go no further, Beverly provides unbelievable care. I would never consider an overnight kennel and once you try Beverly to babysit you wont either. Thank you Beverly for caring for my baby.”

“So happy I booked with Kayla to sit my pup while I was on vacation. She kept my mind at ease with all the pictures and the updates. I felt confident she would treat my dog right. I definitely plan on booking with her again in the near future.”

“Lisa was great with Bear! She sent us photos while we were away and treated him like her own. We felt totally comfortable knowing he was in good hands and would definitely book her again.”

“Rafael and his partner took fantastic care of my senior dog, who was still recovering from recent surgery. They were incredibly attentive, providing daily updates and photos that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. They’re a super communicative and genuinely kind couple — I could tell Mistral was in great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. Highly recommended!”

“It was the first time we used Megan to watch our 2 dogs, Nini and Falstaff. We could not have asked for a better dog sitter! Our dogs were immediately comfortable with her! She kept us updated daily and sent pictures! We plan to use Megan again for a future trip!”

“We are so thankful to Erika and her family for looking after our Dexter so well! We got daily updates and pictures of all the fun he was having. Erika did an amazing job administering his medicine. It was such a relief to have Dexter in such good hands. Thank you so much!”

“Allesha has been an exceptional host for Rex. She fully understood his requirements and provided care tailored to his needs. I highly recommend her without hesitation.”
“Queeny took real good care of our friend Luka. She took him to walks and gave us updates everyday on how he's been doing. So we were not worried at all. I know he has good time with Queeny and her family. We can say now Luka really found another home for him when we are traveling.”

“Whitley is the absolute best! Gave our dog so much love, movement, and fun! Marshall loved playing with her dog too. She was super accommodating when our flight was delayed too.”

“Renee has watched Skylar 3 times now. I seriously think our dog likes her more than us! She does so much with her! Walks, playtime, games…even bakes her treats! So glad I found someone I can trust with our little girl.”

“Kayla took great care of my baby Chico. She was very nice and sent messages and updates the whole time during his stay with her. I would definitely recommend her. My dog don’t even walk with me because he’s lazy and he was walking with her. She’s the dog whisperer. Love her”

“Theresa and Adrian took great care of our dog while we were away for 5 days! They communicate thoroughly and share updates daily. They even went above and beyond by sleeping on the couch with our dog on his first night when he was showing signs of anxiety. Highly recommend their services!”

“Monica was outstanding, I don't think my cats wanted us to come home! Monica took care of their basic needs and went well beyond and made sure they got lots of pets, they played with toy mice and they were brushed. They daily photos were such a nice way for us to check in on them. Even my shy cat bonded with her. I would use Monica again and again. Can't say enough nice things about her.”

“lauri helped us out recently with housesitting and watching our two cats - one of whom required medication twice daily and some other specifications throughout the day. lauri was great with caring for both him and his brother, giving them everything they needed and making sure that they were happy and healthy while we were away. she sent photos and detailed updates and it gave us such peace of mind knowing that she was looking after them. we came home to happy cats and a well taken care of house - i would highly recommend lauri and will be booking with her again!”

“I am so lucky I found Adam. I had an extended job out of town and was worried about leaving my babies alone for an extended period. He is very communicative, sends daily updates and is good at following instructions (administered meds regularly). Yoko and George adore him! I would absolutely recommend and hire him again!”

“Khelsi cat sat for me for 21 days over the winter break. My cat is shy but she warmed up to Khelsi within a few days and began playing with her. Khelsi was very communicative with me throughout my time away and sent me lots of pictures and updates despite the fact that I was in a very different time zone and could not always respond to her right away. She also periodically cleaned up around my apartment and left a sweet gift for my cat and me when she left. This was my first long trip away from my cat and stopped being anxious about her because I knew she would be safe and cared for with Khelsi watching her. Thank you for everything, Khelsi!”

“This was my first time using a pet sitter and I will definitely be calling Cheryl the next time I need someone to watch my cats. We hit it off and, maybe more importantly, one of my cats took to her right away, the other was less trusting but her behavior improved by the end of Cheryl’s visits.”

“Melanie was great. She let me know when she was stopping by, spent time with my animals and shared pictures. My cats don’t usually come right up to strangers and they clearly felt comfortable with Melanie.”

“Abbey gave us peace of mind while we were traveling, knowing our kitties were safe and looked after. She even brought in all the packages that arrived while we were gone. Much appreciated!”

“Joshua was fantastic!! I will definitely book his services again. He was super gentle & caring with our very shy cat, and took the time to meet her before the booking. This was our first time using Rover and it was a huge relief to have someone as reliable & thoughtful as Joshua. Thank you so much!!!”

“Heather truly goes above and beyond ! My husband and I have been in Japan for almost 3 weeks and we weren’t once worried because we have 100% trust and confidence that Heather will take great care of our two cats. She sends amazing updates, lots of photos, and she even shoveled our snow. Thank you so much Heather!”

“My kitties appreciate Chetoya’s visits. They’re super shy but will come peek out and eat when they see her❤️❤️ She is responsible and always responds quickly. Thank you!”

About: I adopted my first cats 6 years ago, and have never looked back! I have 3 total now. I do also have dogs, and by having both I've recognized that both really do need care that is species specific. My own cats came to me as kittens, with one that is extremely shy. With her, I really learned how special it is when you put in the time and patience and gain the trust of a perfect little creature! Most people think that cats are independent and don't need much, and that couldn't be further from the truth. They are resilient, but need just as much love and affection as dogs. I also know they can hide any issues they have very well. I am very well versed in finding shy cats hiding spots (and catching them if needed for their safety). I also always have an eye out for cat-proofing and making sure there are no potential places they can get stuck or get out.
About: Hi, I’m Megan — a lifelong animal lover and dedicated pet care provider based in beautiful East English Village. I live with my two friendly, well-socialized dogs who enjoy the company of other calm, respectful pups. I provide a personalized, low-volume boarding experience from my home, where your dog becomes part of our little pack. My services are designed with your pet’s comfort and safety in mind. I only board one guest dog at a time, ensuring constant supervision, individual attention, and a peaceful, low-stress environment. Whether you’re looking for drop-in visits, a walk while you’re at work, or overnight care, I treat every animal like one of my own — with affection, patience, and professional care. I provide updates with every visit, and I’m happy to accommodate custom routines, feeding schedules, and medication administration when needed. Let’s schedule a free meet-and-greet to make sure it’s a great match! Caring for animals is a natural part of my daily life — I structure my routine around it. With two dogs of my own, I’m already up early for walks, feeding, and snuggles. I work from home, which allows me the flexibility to provide frequent potty breaks, plenty of supervision, and lots of one-on-one attention throughout the day. Because I intentionally limit my boarding and walking services to just a few clients at a time, I’m able to give each pet my full focus without being overbooked or rushed. Whether I’m doing a drop-in visit, hosting a pup overnight, or stopping by for a midday walk, I plan my calendar so your pet gets reliable, unrushed, high-quality care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities — whether they’re staying in my home or I’m visiting them in yours. BOARDING AT MY HOME: When boarding in my home, I provide a calm, structured, and low-stress environment by only accepting one guest dog at a time. This allows me to give each pet plenty of individual attention and supervision throughout the day. I have two friendly, well-socialized resident dogs who are used to having guests and do best with other well-mannered pups. I take time to carefully introduce everyone, and I require a meet-and-greet prior to first-time bookings to ensure everyone is a good fit. My home is pet-safe, clean, and set up with cozy resting areas, a large and securely fenced outdoor space, and plenty of enrichment opportunities like walks, playtime, and snuggles. I also follow the pet’s routine as closely as possible to make their stay feel familiar and reassuring. FOR DROP INS I aim to maintain your pet’s routine in their own environment, minimizing disruption and providing consistent care. I refresh water, follow feeding and medication instructions closely, and always leave your home secure and tidy. I also provide visit updates with photos so you can feel connected and at ease while you’re away. Building trust through consistent, compassionate care is what I do best. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m visiting them, they’ll be treated like family.
“Tara was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly friendly, communicative, and so flexible when my return plans changed—I really appreciated how accommodating she was. Rosie clearly bonded with her right away and loved the walks, attention, and care Tara gave her. It gave me such peace of mind knowing Rosie was in such good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Tara again—she’ll definitely be one of the first people I reach out to for future care!”

“Danielle’s attentiveness, communication and attention to detail make her an ideal cat sitter. She is proactive with her approach and will bring things up after a check-in if any behaviors with our cat appear to be off. It gives us peace of mind being away from our cat when we know Danielle is checking in and keeping her company.”

About: (New Account) Hi there I’m Julianna and I have 20+ years of animal care experience under my belt! I grew up in a unique situation with over 15+ animals in my house at a given time as my mother was an animal fosterer and relocator. This allowed me to amass a lifelong experience of taking care of animals of all different sizes, temperaments, and health conditions. I have worked with a wide range of animals including exotic pets, farm animals, and rescues. I have a deep understanding in animal behavior which allows me to carefully tailor your furry babies individual needs. I am skilled in daily feedings(live too), light grooming, administering medications all while creating an environment that feels safe and healthy. Life can get busy. Understandably you wanted to provide immediate care for your beloved pet but your schedule might not allow for immediate flexibility. That’s why I also have extended transportation skills. I can assist with transportation to and from your veterinary clinic, groomers, or airport. I work from home so I am able to be extremely accommodating to your pets needs. I have plenty of time for long walks and belly rubs. I am also able to assist in veterinary visit if your schedule doesn’t allow. I tailor each routine to your pet and am more than happy to accommodate any special request. I live in a walk up apartment and am able to carry up/down anyone who needs assistance. I have gated dog coral as well fenced in backyard.
“Tara took great care of our dog Marvin—this was the second time they’ve watched him, and both experiences have been excellent. They were responsive, reliable, and clearly have a natural way with animals. Marvin was happy and relaxed when we picked him up and excited to return for his second stay, which says a lot. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Tara again and highly recommend them as a sitter.”

“Our little guy had a wonderful time with Lia, and we will definitely book again! She was so communicative throughout his stay with photo and video updates, and it was clear that he was being very well looked after!”

“This was the BEST service! From the moment precious doggie was in Jeannette's care until his return, I was 150% comfortable that he was in good hands. The pick up and drop off service made it so convenient for me! Whenever I'm in Detroit again, Jeannette will be the one I reserve! ”
About: Hi, my name is Brandon and I am a first year Masters student studying Biomedical Engineering. Animals have been a part of my life since my earliest memories. I've raised birds, turtles, snakes, iguanas, hamsters, cats and of course dogs. Whether your pup needs hours of fetch and park adventures or gentle walks and medication management, I adapt to their unique needs, diets, and energy level. I work from home and between myself and my girlfriend, it is rare for me to leave my pet alone for more than 1 hr. I have easy access to numerous parks within walking distance including Belle Isle. Your pet will not be starved for attention. My goal is to make your dog’s time with me feel like a happy stay-cation. Expect daily walks, individualized attention, plenty of rest when needed, and regular photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands With years of experience across all breeds and temperaments, I understand the trust it takes to leave your pet with someone new. I'm here to make that experience stress-free for both you and your dog, providing the reliable, communicative, and loving care they deserve. I welcome questions, meet-and-greets, and will always aim to make you and your pet feel comfortable and confident. Working from home affords me the time and flexibility to give my high maintenance corgi the attention she deserves. She’s rarely alone for more than one hour at a time. The first and most important step in caring for a new dog is to establish trust. As an experienced caregiver, I've learned that patience and compassion form the foundation of developing that all-important bond. Sixx is a great help in this endeavor as she is a very friendly dog and loves making new playmates. My place is fitted with webcams so you can check in on your pet and let them hear your voice. If your dog is crate-trained and finds it easier to adapt to a new environment through this method, I have one that can accommodate most sizes.

Rafael made sure to take Columbus out so that he can be comfortable on the drive back home. Rafael would constantly update me with what's going on and would also snap pics of my dog enjoying. Hi, I’m Monica DeSpain— a lifelong animal lover, experienced pet sitter, and proud pet mom to one sweet senior dog and three quirky cats. I’ve been caring for animals for over 20 years, and I truly love what I do. My background includes 5 years working at two veterinary hospitals as a veterinary assistant, volunteering at the animal shelter, and fostering pets in my home. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in animal care long before I officially started offering pet sitting. Since August 2024, I’ve been providing trusted, compassionate pet sitting services to families in the Grosse Pointe area. I also currently run a small online business from home, which gives me the flexibility to offer weekday and weekend visits, dog walking, and personalized drop-in care. About: I’m an ER nurse and paramedic looking to spend time playing, walking and caring for pets. Or house sitting. I typically am free 3-4 days a week as I work 3-12 hour shifts a week at the hospital. Naturally, I’m very compassionate and care very deeply about living beings. I also have had cats and dogs of my own. I’m 58, dependable, have my own car and am active. I work 3 days a week in the ER. Which leave 4 days a week to pet sit and walk dogs! I have a Honda Fit that I am not fussy about, a dog is welcome to take a ride to Belle Isle or to the dog park! Ideally I would sit in your home, but I’m sure if your dog or cat is friendly my family would love to have them overnight!

“Melanie did a great job with our dog. She was very communicative, prompt and spent extra time with our pup. I’d request her again for more dog walking and would highly recommend her services.”
About: professionally, I have taken care of pets for the last 3 years, ranging from dogs to cats to birds to lizards, with care ranging from normal sittings to walks, to overnight work as well. Personally, I have taken care of pets my whole life, currently either six cats and a big dog (and a gecko). Dogs have always been drawn to me it seems, with all of them (save for one 😅) growing to love me in time. Let me add your pet to that list! I am as malleable as the client needs me to be. Obviously that can change around holidays sometimes, but generally I am super available and almost always by my phone if needed. I unfortunately cannot offer boardings as I have a dog and that would not be fair to her. However, when I do sittings, especially overnight ones, my goal is to leave the pet parent’s as close to how it looked when I got there.
“We’ve been so happy to find Caelan! She communicates fast and friendly, is reliable, and has given us great peace of mind knowing our new energetic pup is getting activity through the day. She is attentive to our doggos needs and has gone above and beyond. We will definitely be booking with her more in the future!”

I have a fenced in yard and live bear multiple parks. We take daily walks & ensure the pets get a ton of outside play.

“Hi! Jen is an amazing dog walker and I would highly recommend her. She has taken on walking my 18 year old Emma, a rat terrier mix, 5 days a week. Jen is patient and kind with Emma, from slowly waking her up each afternoon, to walking her in all kinds of horrible winter weather, to making sure her paws are clean when they return. And with my old sassy girl, trust me when I say none of it is easy. Jen somehow pulls it off, week after week. I'm so grateful to have found her.”

About: I have grown up always having a houseful of animals. This included cats and dogs as well as small rodents (mice, hamster, ect) and livestock. Now I have two dogs, two cats, and a hedgehog. I have owned my dogs for 13 years and the cats became part of the family a couple of years ago. My experience with animals ranges from daily care needs to caring for an animal with other needs. I am also patient with animals that are still learning or have slight behavioral issues. Currently, I am a full time student completing my degree online. I have open avalibility for your pet care needs. I am even open to a "daycare" situation. I have two dogs and two cats at my own home. The cats have their own space if needed and my dogs would love to have a friend to play with. I also have plenty of room to give any animal alone space if needed. I have a fenced yard and live walking distance to a park. I am open to board your furbabies while you are at work during the day or overnight if needed. If you prefer your babies stay at home I can offer potty breaks and walks during the day. I understand the struggle of finding good care for furbabies when you have a demanding schedule! I am open to services that work for you!
About: I've been lucky enough to wake up to a 4 legged friend by my side my entire life. I've been surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes including cats, golden retrievers, malamutes - I've found my love for them to grow increasingly with each interaction. From being a child where it was enough to simply love dogs to becoming a responsible adult recognizing the intricate needs of all, I am more than happy to provide the detailed love and care your beloved pet needs. Even my hobbies and career revolve around nurturing and caring for other beings - beyond loving on dogs, I am an avid lover of indoor plants (which means I would be happy to water yours!). With my services, you will be able to feel confident that your beloved 4 legged friends are safe and well cared for! I am currently in grad school for School Psychology and take care of my own indoor cats and cat colony everyday with food, water, litter scooping, etc. I am diligent in asking questions and file information to ensure that the visit/stay goes as smoothly as possible. I am a very organized person (former teacher) and also know how hard/stressful it can be to have someone watch your pets! I try to provide reassurance and information through the stay to ensure your comfort. Safety and animal comfort are my first priority!
About: I took care of my family’s golden retrievers during my childhood. Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and watch numerous dogs, including bulldogs, pit bulls, labs, and Shih Tzus. I adopted Luna 2 years ago, and she’s the happy girl in my profile picture. I’m a medical student going on residency interviews during the fall and winter. I don’t have any classes or rotations during this time, and I need to make money. Thus, my schedule is fairly openly depending on what’s needed. I will treat your dog as if they were my own. I truly love dogs, and enjoy walking them. I will always be available to do a meet and greet as well.
“Megan helped out giving our big baby his walks this week. She was great and Bennie (our 100 lb rottie) quicklyfell in love. He was looking out the window longingly for her by day 2. Thank you, Megan!”

“Heather was awesome! Rocket was super excited to meet her during the first visit and I knew it will be smooth sailing the rest of the way. Great pictures and videos during walks, good communication to let me know how everything went and very quick to respond. Will recommend Heather to anyone that needs their pet walked or watched for a period of time. Thanks for all your help. Very much appreciated.”

“Theresa and Adrian took great care of our dog while we were away for 5 days! They communicate thoroughly and share updates daily. They even went above and beyond by sleeping on the couch with our dog on his first night when he was showing signs of anxiety. Highly recommend their services!”

“Abbey was wonderful! I’m always nervous about leaving our sweet Goldendoodle with people but I felt completely comfortable during our time away and knew Abbey was taking the best care of him. Ford is pretty great too!”

“Cody was so great with our golden retriever, Snoop! His dog seemed to get along well with Snoop and it was great to know he was in a good environment being well taken care of!”

“Latara is fantastic with animals. This was the first time I left my dog for boarding and I was so worried but Latara was so GREAT. She kept sending photos and videos regularly and I will absolutely use her in the future.”

“Tracey was amazing, and able to help us out in a pinch when we needed to find someone last minute to watch our puppy for the weekend. And the daily updates are great and you can see how much fun the pup is having. Definitely recommend!”

“Booked Breanna to pet sit at the last minute based on great reviews here and on next door. She was great and kept our girl comfortable and happy. Loved that she sent lots of pictures and updates about how things were going!”

“Lasya and her husband were both so kind, accommodating, and responsive throughout the entire process, from initial booking to pick-up at the end of the stay. My dog Willow was so well taken care of! He can be a little anxious sometimes and I was so happy to receive so many photos of him relaxing and enjoying his stay. They kept up with his eating and feeding schedule and gave him lots of attention. I would highly recommend them and I would definitely book them again. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby!!!”
