About: I am a dog lover who currently owns 3 dogs, a terrier mix, a standard poodle, and a Doberman. My husband and I love animals and have grown up around different types of pets, which is why dog sitting is a perfect fit for me. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover my entire life. I acquired my love for animals from my father. Since before I was born, he has always owned a dog. The first dog I remember having was a Husky named Brandon. We named him Brandon because of the dog on "Punky Brewster" and I must have been only around 4 years old! My experience administering medication I have experience administering medication to my own pets and others pets as well. I’m a stay at home mom, which means I’ll have plenty of time to spend with your pup(s). We love playing outdoors and our dogs are like family to us! I have a dog run (working on fencing our large yard) and three dogs of my own. We have room to crate train if needed, and keep kids and dogs separate should your pup not be kid friendly.

We really appreciate Mary’s flexibility - we had to change our schedule a couple of times, and she’s so gracious and understanding. I also appreciate the “extra” she provided in handling a sensitive package that arrived earlier than expected. Gino loves the attention from Mary - Gus is still a bit shy but I am positive he will come out of his shell eventually. Mary did a great job keeping us updated and we loved the check ins and photos! About: My family has always had dogs and from the age of about 8 I helped to potty train, crate train and care for 3 dogs. I've given many baths, administered lots of medication, clipped many nails and cleaned up many accidents. I've cared for senior dogs, puppies and everything in between. Now I have a dog all to my own and she thrives everyday! She's potty trained and crate trained and knows her basic manners and how to shake paws. I really just love dogs and would love the opportunity to make someone's pet feel special and cared for in their absence! I work from home, so I'm always at home with my own pet. I'm very flexible and free just about any time. I have reliable transportation and am always timely. I carefully follow all instructions left by pet parents and if I feel uncomfortable or unclear, I will always reach out to ask for guidance. I personally never walk my own dog off leash, as I worry about her safety and the safety of others, so I would always keep your dog on a leash. I love the dog park but if that is not your dog's speed, I love leisurely on leash strolls as well. I walk my own dog about an hour everyday so I'm always free to help get your puppy some exercise! I always carry water on walks and know when dogs get overwhelmed and/or tired.
“Hanan is a great dogsitter for Frankie! She checks in on her & makes sure she gets a chance to run around and play. She sends lots of pictures so we feel good to see that Frankie is having fun. Hanan brings special skills to the job because of her dog training knowledge. Our dog barks and barks at new people, but Hanan is good at navigating the challenge. I saw Frankie warm up pretty fast during the meet and greet. 🩷”
About: Hi, my name is Carissa! I am experienced in caring for many animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and even farm animals. I owned an operated an open-play dog boarding and daycare facility in Southern California for five years (from 2014 through 2019) serving over 300 furry clients- all different sizes and personalities. Since moving back to my home-state of Michigan I worked as a veterinary assistant for two years in a general practice clinic, and am able to confidently provide first aid, as well as administer oral, topical, and injectable medications to pets in my care. I am available all day Fridays-Mondays. Perfect for long weekend trips! I do work to Tuesdays-Thursdays, 8am-5pm, but I am available in the evening on Thursdays for drop-off if needed (for an early Friday morning departure, etc.). I am available for drop-in visits Friday-Monday as well, and can also schedule drop-in visits between 6-8 pm Tuesday-Thursdays. Your pet would have tons of love in our home, with access to all living spaces and our large fenced-in yard. We currently have 1 indoor/outdoor kitty, but our chocolate lab recently passed away, so no pups in the home at this time.
“I don't like leaving my dogs with other people. They both have reactivity issues, and sometimes over-stimulation can cause them to fight with each other. When the dogs and I met Alicyn, I was flustered and it was hard for me to articulate how they are both extremely easy dogs yet they can have very serious fights. Alicyn took it all in stride, and she wasn't worried at all. During the actual drop-in, everything went smoothly! She is an amazing caretaker and the dogs must have understood that, because she said they were perfect and she wants to see them again! I'm super comfortable leaving them with her, whether it's a drop-in or an extended stay.”
