In the past when i’ve dog sat I love them just as much as my own.
“Danielle was fantastic with our two cats. She gave us updates and pictures every time she came to feed them. One cat is on medication which she had no problem giving the proper dose. I definitely will recommend her and use Danielle on our next trip.”

“Lindsay is awesome! She took great care of my cat while I was out of town for the weekend. She was very patient with my skittish kitty, flexible with my plans, and promptly communicated any concerns. Thank you!!”

About: I’ve worked professionally with dogs in dog daycares in Detroit, Chicago, and New York, and I’ve also spent years as a dedicated dog walker and pet sitter in NYC. I’m comfortable managing multiple dogs at once and have safely walked up to four dogs together. I have hands-on experience with leash manners and structured walking, including working alongside trainers who train police dogs. I understand proper leash etiquette, the “heel” command, and how to maintain calm, controlled walks — even with strong or energetic dogs. I’m naturally confident around dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I’ve handled high-energy pups, nervous dogs, senior dogs, and even helped in situations involving illness or end-of-life care. I stay calm, observant, and focused on your dog’s safety and comfort at all times. I have two dogs of my own and truly treat every dog like family. My goal is always safety, a happy dog, and peace of mind for you. I'm a Digital Design contractor who works from home and at my own pace, so I have plenty of time for you and your fur babies and can work around your schedule. I have a large, fenced yard and a playful dog of my own. She is a young great dane, however, so when it comes to pet-sitting in my home, your dog must be comfortable playing with a large (105lbs), energetic, young female. I am happy to come to your home as well. I am respectful of your environment, I keep things clean and tidy, and I'll even water your plants.
About: I’ve been tasked with caring for family dogs including walks since I was 10, ranging in size from little chihuahuas to large golden doodles. I have ample experience with pets that have specific dietary needs and medications. I know how to handle reactive dogs on walks, keeping them and others safe even in high stress moments. I live in Jefferson Chalmers and work part time, so I can accommodate your schedule. I’m in north Detroit and South Oakland & Macomb county frequently as well. I am happy to follow access instructions and care for your pets from the comfort of their home. Upon the first meeting, I make myself quiet and comfortable in a pet’s home so they are in charge of our meet and interaction. Between shy cats and reactive dogs, I’ve learned how to foster safe environments for all kind of pets. I hope to build relationships with pets so you can have more peace of mind leaving them in my care!
About: Hi, I’m Megan — a lifelong animal lover and dedicated pet care provider based in beautiful East English Village. I live with my two friendly, well-socialized dogs who enjoy the company of other calm, respectful pups. I provide a personalized, low-volume boarding experience from my home, where your dog becomes part of our little pack. My services are designed with your pet’s comfort and safety in mind. I only board one guest dog at a time, ensuring constant supervision, individual attention, and a peaceful, low-stress environment. Whether you’re looking for drop-in visits, a walk while you’re at work, or overnight care, I treat every animal like one of my own — with affection, patience, and professional care. I provide updates with every visit, and I’m happy to accommodate custom routines, feeding schedules, and medication administration when needed. Let’s schedule a free meet-and-greet to make sure it’s a great match! Caring for animals is a natural part of my daily life — I structure my routine around it. With two dogs of my own, I’m already up early for walks, feeding, and snuggles. I work from home, which allows me the flexibility to provide frequent potty breaks, plenty of supervision, and lots of one-on-one attention throughout the day. Because I intentionally limit my boarding and walking services to just a few clients at a time, I’m able to give each pet my full focus without being overbooked or rushed. Whether I’m doing a drop-in visit, hosting a pup overnight, or stopping by for a midday walk, I plan my calendar so your pet gets reliable, unrushed, high-quality care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities — whether they’re staying in my home or I’m visiting them in yours. BOARDING AT MY HOME: When boarding in my home, I provide a calm, structured, and low-stress environment by only accepting one guest dog at a time. This allows me to give each pet plenty of individual attention and supervision throughout the day. I have two friendly, well-socialized resident dogs who are used to having guests and do best with other well-mannered pups. I take time to carefully introduce everyone, and I require a meet-and-greet prior to first-time bookings to ensure everyone is a good fit. My home is pet-safe, clean, and set up with cozy resting areas, a large and securely fenced outdoor space, and plenty of enrichment opportunities like walks, playtime, and snuggles. I also follow the pet’s routine as closely as possible to make their stay feel familiar and reassuring. FOR DROP INS I aim to maintain your pet’s routine in their own environment, minimizing disruption and providing consistent care. I refresh water, follow feeding and medication instructions closely, and always leave your home secure and tidy. I also provide visit updates with photos so you can feel connected and at ease while you’re away. Building trust through consistent, compassionate care is what I do best. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m visiting them, they’ll be treated like family.
About: Grew up on a hobby farm with dogs, cats, horses and chickens. Since embarking on my career, I adopted several cats that travel with me :) Looking forward to giving your pet the attention it deserves. I am a work from home consultant who can take key breaks throughout the day. Though I do travel occasionally for work, stopping by your house or having them visit my house would add to the day! Trudeau is my sweet kitty who rules the house. He typically avoids other animals when they visit. My house also has a small, enclosed yard for quick pet needs

About: Fun loving person, I’ve had over thirty-five years of experienced loving and caring for dogs from tiny to XL-size dogs, from puppies to adult to special needs. I’ve been a doggie lover all my life. The joy is indescribable, still today the feeling of delight overwhelms me when it’s time for me to go home to my dogs just to see the enjoyment on their faces. I’ve always cared about the safety and well-being of all dogs and want to offer my love and home to the doggies that don't want to stay home alone. Also I want the owners to know that my house is very, very clean and is a super safe environment. I also have a cozy closed in patio sunroom and of course my home where they are free to walk around and make themselves at home. I also have a private room for shy dogs. I do ask for the dogs to be clean and free of fleas and ticks and to be house broken, but not a must. For a fee I can bathe your dog. If the dog is not house broken I do have various sizes of crates that I can assist you with potty training your pet. I want to offer you and your dogs a happy, healthy more sociable and more balance life by sharing my love and safe home when needed while you are at work or away.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Grosse Pointe Park
Our dogs love Dana! We knew our dogs were in great hands while we were out. Dana was right on time and sent us updates and pictures. We were a little nervous leaving because our one pup doesn’t like thunder and storms were in the area, but Dana was great and made sure Cento wasn’t scared. 😊

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Grosse Pointe Park with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
