“Kayla was great with Biscuit!! She provided plenty of pictures and updates. Biscuit is a kitten so he requires playtime and Kayla went the extra mile playing with him. You could tell she just loves cats”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and value the companionship and love they fill us with everyday. On top of caring for my own pup I have helped friends and family with walking and boarding when needed. I’m a sahm so pet care fits into my schedule right along with my other daily activities. We go on walks with my dog and play outside and could easily fit another furry friend into the routine. I take my sweet boy to the dog park twice a week so he can meet and play with friends. He’s extremely friendly with other dogs and people, so if you wanted for your fur baby to get some socialization I can always bring him with me. (He is up to date on all shots)

“Our second time booking Jeannette! We’re so happy to have someone as reliable and caring as her to look after our boys. It puts our mind at ease knowing she was able to administer their medication and give them a lot of love on the days we were away. Her flexibility with accommodating us so last minute means a lot. We won’t hesitate to book her again in the future!”

“Bre is so nice and caring!!! She is so great at communicating about my puppy and always does extra steps to make sure that my puppy is happy and comfortable. She is so great!!!”

About: I’m a lifelong dog owner who has also helped neighbors and friends with their pets. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages and can walk long distances if needed. I’m a stay-at-home mom with a completely flexible schedule during the week. My 3-year-old loves dogs and is very caring and gentle. I also have some availability on my own during mornings when she’s at preschool. I’m available to care for dogs in your home and take them for walks if needed. I can walk short or long distances depending on your dog’s needs and preferences.

About: What truly sets me apart is that animal care isn’t something I learned — it’s something I was raised in. Growing up in a home that served as a proxy animal shelter, I was immersed in the care of a wide variety of animals from birth, including fosters, rescues, and pets with both physical disabilities and special needs. That real-world, hands-on experience goes far beyond what most sitters can offer. Some key skills and experiences that set me apart: Special Needs & Disabled Animal Care: — I have extensive experience caring for animals with physical disabilities and health challenges, ensuring they receive patient, tailored attention and any necessary accommodations. Rescue & Foster Animal Handling: — Having grown up surrounded by rescue and foster animals, I understand the unique behavioral and emotional needs of animals that may have experienced trauma or instability. Multi-Pet Household Management: — Living with 5 cats, I’m highly skilled at managing the dynamics of a multi-pet environment, including feeding, space management, and monitoring individual health and behavior. Behavioral Awareness: — Years of experience with diverse animals has sharpened my ability to read body language and recognize early signs of stress, illness, or discomfort. Senior & Vulnerable Animal Care: — My shelter upbringing included caring for older and medically fragile animals, giving me the compassion and knowledge to handle their specific needs with gentleness and expertise. When you leave your pet with me, you’re not just hiring a sitter. you’re entrusting them to someone who has lived and breathed animal care their entire life. Pet care is deeply woven into my daily life and personal history. I was born into an animal rescue family, raised in a home that functioned as a proxy shelter — caring for fosters, rescues, and animals of all abilities, both healthy and disabled. That upbringing gave me hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals and needs from a very young age. Today, I share my home with 5 cats, so feeding, playing, cleaning, and monitoring health and behavior is simply part of my everyday rhythm. Animals have always been my normal, and giving them attentive, compassionate care comes as naturally to me as breathing. Having grown up in a household that operated as a proxy animal shelter, caring for pets in a home environment is second nature to me. I currently live with 5 cats, so maintaining a clean, safe, and enriching home space for animals is something I practice every single day. I’m well versed in managing feeding schedules, litter maintenance, behavioral monitoring, and providing both physical and emotional stimulation through play and companionship. When it comes to caring for pets in a client’s home, I believe in respecting the animal’s established routine as closely as possible. Animals feel most secure in familiar environments with consistent schedules, so I make it a priority to follow the owner’s instructions precisely — from feeding times and portion sizes to preferred play styles and any special medical or dietary needs. My background with rescue animals also means I’m comfortable and experienced with pets that may have disabilities, anxiety, or special requirements. Whether it’s administering medication, providing extra patience for a nervous animal, or adapting care for a physically disabled pet, I approach every situation with calm, attentive, and compassionate care. Every pet deserves to feel safe and loved, whether I’m in my home or theirs.
“Chynna was great for my pups, cleaning up their surprise messes for me and all! Timely, communicative, and my dogs look like they gave good cuddles. Would love to have Chynna back!”

“My kitties appreciate Chetoya’s visits. They’re super shy but will come peek out and eat when they see her❤️❤️ She is responsible and always responds quickly. Thank you!”

About: Certified in Pet First Aid/CPR and training, I bring 6 years of experience working with diverse dog breeds, ages, and temperaments, ranging from shy to reactive/aggressive. With a lifelong passion for dogs, I excel in building bonds and fostering confidence. I also have some experience in cat sitting. I work full-time now, but I truly miss dog training and spending time working with dogs. On my days off, I’d love to dedicate my time to helping you and caring for your pets when you need it most. Providing reliable, attentive, and loving care is something I genuinely enjoy, and I treat every pet like my own. For dog sitting, I prioritize maintaining your dog's routine in their familiar environment. I prefer meeting you and your dog beforehand to understand your expectations and their daily schedule. I enjoy enriching their lives with walks and engaging activities, including training games, tricks, and enrichment puzzles. Your dog's well-being and happiness are my top priorities, ensuring they feel comfortable and loved while you're away.
“We cannot say enough how much we appreciate Kristina. We have 3 dogs, one in which has Epilepsy and is timid with new people and with the first meeting with Kristina our boy loved her! Our other 2 love her as well and that was such a blessing. I highly recommend Kristina.”
“Great communication! She was quick to respond to any message or question we had. Very professional and our dog had no issue warming up to her. Would highly recommend! Plan to use her again in the future.”

“Allie is so kind and does great work with our timid girl. Allie is patient and you can tell she is a great caregiver because she thinks of all of the little things (like placing her keys down to say hi because she knew keys might scare a nervous dog).”

“Review from Jazzy the pet: I love Sarang! I am a very needy, attention seeking pet. Sarang is so patient and caring. Sarang gives me countless belly rubs, lets me follow around into bathroom. I am fed, walked on time. I hope Sarang will always be my sitter! Love Jazzy.”

“Jason was great - this was our first time having him do drop - in’s for us and it was for a longer trip for us - 10 days out of state. He definitely went above and beyond and we would have him back.”

“Very reliable and professional. We will definitely ask for Nicoletta’s help again! My dogs loved her the second she walked in the door. They’re a little wild but she was great with them.”

About: I am a dog lover who currently owns 3 dogs, a terrier mix, a standard poodle, and a Doberman. My husband and I love animals and have grown up around different types of pets, which is why dog sitting is a perfect fit for me. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover my entire life. I acquired my love for animals from my father. Since before I was born, he has always owned a dog. The first dog I remember having was a Husky named Brandon. We named him Brandon because of the dog on "Punky Brewster" and I must have been only around 4 years old! My experience administering medication I have experience administering medication to my own pets and others pets as well. I’m a stay at home mom, which means I’ll have plenty of time to spend with your pup(s). We love playing outdoors and our dogs are like family to us! I have a dog run (working on fencing our large yard) and three dogs of my own. We have room to crate train if needed, and keep kids and dogs separate should your pup not be kid friendly.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Grosse Pointe
Keira did a great job taking care of my rescues, a 13-year-old boxer mix and a 2-year-old mastiff mix, on very short notice and provided up to four drop-in visits to let them out, walk them, and feed them. She provided plenty of communication and came over the day before my early-morning departure flight to meet with me, the dogs, and get to know them, my house, and the neighborhood, which was great. My son had been watching them for the past two years, so I hadn't needed anyone else. But he's going away to college, and I needed to find someone reliable and local, and I'll definitely use Kiera going forward! I'm so grateful I found her on Rover and look forward to having her help again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
