I also have some availability on my own during mornings when she’s at preschool. I’m available to care for dogs in your home and take them for walks if needed. I can walk short or long distances depending on your dog’s needs and preferences.

About: I grew up with dogs and found a love for them at an early age. I always had Labradors but love all dogs. I have been dog walking since middle school. I am currently a rising junior at Wayne State University and love all pets but love dogs! I have been dogsitting consistently for family and friends over the years and love taking care of pets:) I am currently a full time student in the fall, but I babysit a few days a week but am home a lot of the time. I do not have a fenced yard, but am very comfortable taking any dogs out on a leash and am comfortable having your pup sleep with me or can have them in a crate.

About: I’m an ER nurse and paramedic looking to spend time playing, walking and caring for pets. Or house sitting. I typically am free 3-4 days a week as I work 3-12 hour shifts a week at the hospital. Naturally, I’m very compassionate and care very deeply about living beings. I also have had cats and dogs of my own. I’m 58, dependable, have my own car and am active. I work 3 days a week in the ER. Which leave 4 days a week to pet sit and walk dogs! I have a Honda Fit that I am not fussy about, a dog is welcome to take a ride to Belle Isle or to the dog park! Ideally I would sit in your home, but I’m sure if your dog or cat is friendly my family would love to have them overnight!

She was 14. I’m not ready for another forever furbaby, but I miss couch cuddling and walks around the neighborhood. I promise your furbaby will be spoiled! I am looking primarily for long weekends, Friday-Monday. I can maximize time at home with this schedule. I am open to extended stays (military, longer vacations, etc). Last minute requests are ok—life happens! I am comfortable with crating during the day or leaving your furbaby open to roam the family room and kitchen. Back yard play and a walk everyday. Kisses, cuddles, and of course a treat or two. I only accept dogs in my home that have been spayed/neutered. Please contact me before booking. I would like to talk/meet before confirming. I have two friendly, well-socialized resident dogs who are used to having guests and do best with other well-mannered pups. I take time to carefully introduce everyone, and I require a meet-and-greet prior to first-time bookings to ensure everyone is a good fit. My home is pet-safe, clean, and set up with cozy resting areas, a large and securely fenced outdoor space, and plenty of enrichment opportunities like walks, playtime, and snuggles. I also follow the pet’s routine as closely as possible to make their stay feel familiar and reassuring. FOR DROP INS I aim to maintain your pet’s routine in their own environment, minimizing disruption and providing consistent care. I refresh water, follow feeding and medication instructions closely, and always leave your home secure and tidy. I also provide visit updates with photos so you can feel connected and at ease while you’re away. Building trust through consistent, compassionate care is what I do best. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m visiting them, they’ll be treated like family.

“Khelsi cat sat for me for 21 days over the winter break. My cat is shy but she warmed up to Khelsi within a few days and began playing with her. Khelsi was very communicative with me throughout my time away and sent me lots of pictures and updates despite the fact that I was in a very different time zone and could not always respond to her right away. She also periodically cleaned up around my apartment and left a sweet gift for my cat and me when she left. This was my first long trip away from my cat and stopped being anxious about her because I knew she would be safe and cared for with Khelsi watching her. Thank you for everything, Khelsi!”
