“Of I could give Steven 100 stars I would. He did a fantastic job with my dog. I asked him could we meet before he watched her and he was now than willing. I asked because my dog doesn't care for men nor does she like other pets. When I introduced them she was snappy at first but warmed up to Steven. But Steven brought his dog out and I could not control her. She went right into attack mode and all I could think is, this is not going to work. Well me and Steven had a conversation on several ways to handle this. And ended up not utilizing any we talked about. He had her social with other dogs by the end of the day and they played together and say together. He sent me pictures and videos of the interactions and made me feel comfortable. When I picked her up he had everything ready for her to leave with and she was a happy dog. From this interaction I'm going to use Steven every time I need a sitter. About: I adopted my first cats 6 years ago, and have never looked back! I have 3 total now. I do also have dogs, and by having both I've recognized that both really do need care that is species specific. My own cats came to me as kittens, with one that is extremely shy. With her, I really learned how special it is when you put in the time and patience and gain the trust of a perfect little creature! Most people think that cats are independent and don't need much, and that couldn't be further from the truth. They are resilient, but need just as much love and affection as dogs. I also know they can hide any issues they have very well. I am very well versed in finding shy cats hiding spots (and catching them if needed for their safety). I also always have an eye out for cat-proofing and making sure there are no potential places they can get stuck or get out.

I am currently a rising junior at Wayne State University and love all pets but love dogs! About: I’m an ER nurse and paramedic looking to spend time playing, walking and caring for pets. Or house sitting. I typically am free 3-4 days a week as I work 3-12 hour shifts a week at the hospital. Naturally, I’m very compassionate and care very deeply about living beings. I also have had cats and dogs of my own. I’m 58, dependable, have my own car and am active. I work 3 days a week in the ER. Which leave 4 days a week to pet sit and walk dogs! I have a Honda Fit that I am not fussy about, a dog is welcome to take a ride to Belle Isle or to the dog park! “Of I could give Steven 100 stars I would. He did a fantastic job with my dog. I asked him could we meet before he watched her and he was now than willing. I asked because my dog doesn't care for men nor does she like other pets. When I introduced them she was snappy at first but warmed up to Steven. But Steven brought his dog out and I could not control her. She went right into attack mode and all I could think is, this is not going to work. Well me and Steven had a conversation on several ways to handle this. And ended up not utilizing any we talked about. He had her social with other dogs by the end of the day and they played together and say together. He sent me pictures and videos of the interactions and made me feel comfortable. When I picked her up he had everything ready for her to leave with and she was a happy dog. From this interaction I'm going to use Steven every time I need a sitter. We initially discussed our ask - a few days stay - and agreed to bring over our Lucy for a quick visit. They were very attentive with great questions about Lucy's needs and habits. Lucy decided to be very ill-behaved at the visit and we offered to connect them with our previous sitter to confirm her usual behavior, which they took us up on. When we dropped off Lucy for the stay, she was wagging her tail and went in without a pause! They sent us pics and updates while we were away, which was such a relief and let us enjoy our time with family. When we arrived to pick up Lucy, she barked at the knock like it was her house! A good sign. She was happy to be home, but so much less stressed than if we had boarded her at the commercial place nearby. About: I grew up with dogs and found a love for them at an early age. I always had Labradors but love all dogs. I have been dog walking since middle school. I am currently a rising junior at Wayne State University and love all pets but love dogs! I have been dogsitting consistently for family and friends over the years and love taking care of pets:) I am currently a full time student in the fall, but I babysit a few days a week but am home a lot of the time.
