About: Hi! I’ve fostered both dogs and cats throughout all four years of college, including caring for sick pets and administering medications when needed. Animals have always been a huge part of my life—so much so that my family genuinely thought I would grow up to be a veterinarian. I’m currently a medical student and spend most of my time at home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care. I treat every animal as if they were my own and truly love providing a safe, calm, and affectionate environment for them. My partner Matthew is occasionally around and helps lend an extra hand, but I am always the primary caregiver responsible for your pet’s care. I have a flexible schedule and spend much of my time at home studying, which allows me to provide consistent care, walks, and attention throughout the day. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening routines, and I keep my schedule light when I’m caring for a pet to make sure they feel comfortable and well looked after. I live in a cozy, clean apartment in a very walkable area near the DIA. My building is extremely pet-friendly and even offers dog treats in the lobby. I provide a calm, safe environment and give each pet plenty of attention, affection, and supervision. I follow owners’ routines closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care needs, so your pet feels comfortable and at home.
“I was in a last minute pinch for a weekend trip and Josh came through. Josh took great care of my two pets and made sure they were well taken care of and loved. I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of a sitter.”

“Always a perfect experience with Misty. My wife and I got home from a week vacation and the fur babies were as happy as can be just like we never even left. Misty is so good with our babies and always checks in with pics and updates.”
“Randi was excellent! My non-Rover catsitter was on vacation and I needed someone last minute. Randi saved the day! She made sure my cat didn't get stressed out and lonely while I was gone and greatly reduced the risk of him tantrum vomiting in my absence. As well as keeping an eye on some things around the house for me. I would not hesitate to call on her again!”

“We couldn’t say enough about Meghan! She was absolutely wonderful. Meghan went above and beyond to take care of our two crazy pups. She spoiled them and sent amazing pictures to keep us up to date while we were away. We have already recommended Meghan to many of our friends and family!”

“Caelan was wonderful! Very responsive to messages and when our travel plans got delayed and canceled she could not have been more understanding and willing to help! We came home to a happy dog and a happy house! Will definitely book again. Thanks Caelan!”

“Breanna saved us last minute when a friend cancelled dog sitting for our 3 while on a short trip. She was very kind and sent lots of pics. Would recommend her to anyone!”

“Tara was amazing taking care of our boys, even administering emergency meds when one had a seizure, and we were lucky to have found her. We would trust her in any situation.”
“Lauri was amazing. She was wonderful with my dogs, including my senior who has health issues and takes medications. She gave me frequent, comprehensive updates, and sent plenty of much-appreciated photos of my fur babies (and even of my aquarium and flowers). She took excellent care of the household generally, followed all my instructions/requests, and was very professional and communicative. The dogs were lucky to have her. I'll call on her again in a heartbeat!”

About: I’m an ER nurse and paramedic looking to spend time playing, walking and caring for pets. Or house sitting. I typically am free 3-4 days a week as I work 3-12 hour shifts a week at the hospital. Naturally, I’m very compassionate and care very deeply about living beings. I also have had cats and dogs of my own. I’m 58, dependable, have my own car and am active. I work 3 days a week in the ER. Which leave 4 days a week to pet sit and walk dogs! I have a Honda Fit that I am not fussy about, a dog is welcome to take a ride to Belle Isle or to the dog park! Ideally I would sit in your home, but I’m sure if your dog or cat is friendly my family would love to have them overnight!
“Casie is truly everything you could want in a pet and house sitter. My dog is incredibly anxious and has never stayed with anyone who isn't family before. My husband and I just moved to MI and I was literally losing sleep over who would watch my fur baby when we went to visit our family for the holidays. Casie came in to save the day! Not only was so patient while my dog did her best to show how tough she is, she somehow managed to win her over! She even took the time to come over the day before to take her on a walk and reintroduce herself. Once on vacation I was sent updates regularly and you could tell how comfortable my dog was. If you are looking for someone who can handle anxious dog (and owner) you found her! I would recommend to everyone I know!”

“Lauren was amazing! Our dogs love her! She took such great care of our 3 pups and kept us in the loop at all times. This was our first trip away from them in Michigan and she made us feel at ease knowing they were in great hands. We will definitely use Lauren anytime we need a sitter!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of care and attention I give—every pet I watch is treated like family, not just a job. I’m very detail-oriented and make sure I follow routines exactly as given, whether that’s feeding schedules, medications, or specific behavioral needs. I already prioritize structure, consistency, and attention to detail. I plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, playtime, and any specific care needs to make sure pets stay on their normal routine and feel comfortable. In a client’s home, I stick closely to their established schedule—feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications—while also keeping their space clean and organized. I pay attention to behavior and mood, making sure pets are not only cared for but also getting affection, engagement, and reassurance while their owner is away.
“Brandi took excellent care of my pup and the house. She is very sweet and communicates well. She was prompt, sent photos and brief recaps, and the house barely had a trace of her being there. Highly recommend!”

About: My true passion is providing care and comfort to all living things. I have had cats and dogs in my family since birth. Continued the trend ever since living on my own at 18. I have trained hunting dogs (beagles) and currently have 3 cats that get along great! I work a job with a lot of flexibility, so pop in visits or walks will be no problem at all! Walking is part of my daily routine but sometimes it gets lonely! I’d love to help you out and get your animal some exercise while I’m at it! I will care for your animals as they are my own and treat your personal property the same way. My references and testimonials speak for themselves!
“Khelsi came and stayed with my baby while I went out of town for a long weekend. She was amazing at keeping me updated. Highly recommend Khelsi to care for your fur babies.”

“Claire took care of our Mollie and our home for a week while we were on Vacation. She is easy to communicate with, very helpful, and great with our girl! I highly recommend her for your house sitting in dog sitting needs.”

“Cheryl is wonderful and very kind. Our dog Bella takes time to warm up to people and she didn’t have a problem warming up to Cheryl and snuggling on the couch with her. I already have her booked to house sit for us before the end of the year. Thank you for your care of our pack, Cheryl!”

Grosse Pointe pet parents share their Rover experiences
Brit was an absolute gem of a dog sitter while caring for our sweet Maybelle. From the moment she stepped in, it was clear that she approaches her work with remarkable thoughtfulness and heart. She didn’t just “watch” Maybelle — she truly cared for her, paying close attention to her routines, her little quirks, and all the small details that make her who she is. Brit kept us updated and gave us such peace of mind, which is priceless when you’re away from your beloved pet. It felt like Maybelle wasn’t simply being looked after — she was being genuinely cherished. And as if that weren’t enough, we returned home to a house that was beautifully tidied and welcoming. There’s something so comforting about walking back into a calm, cared-for space after time away, and Brit made that happen effortlessly. We’re beyond happy with her care and can’t recommend her enough. She treats both pets and homes with the same warmth and respect as if they were her very own — and that makes all the difference.

Kylie is by far the BEST pet sitter we have ever had! She loved our fur babies as her own and truly went above and beyond. She communicated with us regularly, was very easy to reach and a dream to book with. Our pets loved her and seemed so relaxed to be with her. She also took wonderful care of our home! We would highly recommend booking with Kylie!

Lauren was wonderful while watching our baby boy, Astro. She gave us plenty of updates and pictures during the weekend. It was a weight off our shoulders to have someone in our own home watching our dog, so we knew he was comfortable and in his own environment. Lauren followed instructions and left our house nice and clean. We would definitely use Lauren again for any dog watching needs in the future.
