“Genevieve was responsive, easy to work with and provided great updates when she watched our cat. She was very attentive, and I had the peace of mind knowing my cat was well cared for when we were away. I would definitely recommend Genevieve and look forward to booking her again in the future!”

“Steven & Linda were able to help us out with a couple last minute needs which we really appreciate! Thankful to have a regular / reliable option to give our pups some love!”

About: I'm vibrant, happy, loving playful woman. I was a dog owner for 15 years to Giorgio. My favorite Maltese. He was my best buddy a woman could ask for. Our favorite time together was bath time. Well for me not him. He didn't enjoy it too much. When it was done I groomed him and blow-dried him and sometimes gave him a trim. He was a patient little boy but his favorite time was when it was all done I'd put him down and he'd rub his butt on the floor and run around the room. He'd get a treat right after. We would take a nice nap after. Miss my little guy so much. He was the best dog. Blessed to have had him. I dog sit in homes for small dogs. I can stay in your home for drops or long term dog house sitting. I’m an active person so I can do pretty much anything with your dogs. Walking, dog parks, hanging out at home, feeding time, naps, and bedtime routine. I do it all with love and patience. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I make my own time so pet sitting and care will comfortably fit into my schedule I listen and follow the pet owners directions and use my best judgement and experience with each dog. They are individual so care looks different for breeds. I will do what I can to keep your dog safe.
About: Hello, Pet Parents! I love dogs and have had the good fortune of co-existing with them for 30 years. I’ve cared for Shih tzus, a Golden, a Lab, and a Boxer. Dogs are very special. They have my heart :) I have a flexible schedule at the moment. I’m also fine with any type of drive. I should be able to accommodate your scheduling needs. I will take my cues from your instructions and the dogs’ general routine. I like playing ball, I love brushing them, harnesses are preferred for walks, and I am comfortable using clickers, etc.
About: I’ve worked and volunteered in animal shelters walking dogs and socializing both dogs and cats! I know dog and cat behavior like the back of my hand! I worked with Chicago Pet Club walking dogs previously. This is what I love doing! My priority is your beloved furry friends! I am very flexible in availability, if you need me, I’ll be there! My cat zoey is the queen and my world! I treat every animal with the utmost respect and patience. Anticipating their needs and adapting to whatever is thrown at me!
“Jules was great with mochi! This was his first sitter, and I could tell from the pics that mochi was very happy and comfortable with Jules. Jules was also great with communication and very accommodating.”

“Nicole is wonderful with our dogs! She takes excellent care of both our puppy and senior pup. It gives us so much peace of mind while we're at work knowing that they have such a kind and compassionate caregiver stopping by. She is flexible and accommodating when our schedules change. I highly reccomend her services!”
About: My name is Amanda and I helped train multiple dogs growing up and a natural with all animals. I have a profound connection with dogs and love getting out in nature to explore! Hopefully your pup and I can have plenty of adventure together to ease how much they miss you ~ happy to send photo/video updates about their day or share about our activities while you were away. I truly want a dog of my own but can’t justify it given my affinity for travel, so joined Rover to foster connection with some amazing creatures and care for them as if they were my own! I promise you will be greatly pleased with the level of care and attention for your sweet baby. Thank you for entrusting me with their emotional and physical well-being! I typically aim for 2-3 walks a day depending on the heat, but if only 2 walks I try to tire them out and keep them busy! I prefer to have a crate for the dog for when I leave the house, but otherwise intend to spend much of my time with them

About: I am a dog lover who currently owns 3 dogs, a terrier mix, a standard poodle, and a Doberman. My husband and I love animals and have grown up around different types of pets, which is why dog sitting is a perfect fit for me. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover my entire life. I acquired my love for animals from my father. Since before I was born, he has always owned a dog. The first dog I remember having was a Husky named Brandon. We named him Brandon because of the dog on "Punky Brewster" and I must have been only around 4 years old! My experience administering medication I have experience administering medication to my own pets and others pets as well. I’m a stay at home mom, which means I’ll have plenty of time to spend with your pup(s). We love playing outdoors and our dogs are like family to us! I have a dog run (working on fencing our large yard) and three dogs of my own. We have room to crate train if needed, and keep kids and dogs separate should your pup not be kid friendly.
“Danielle is amazing. She takes such great care of our dogs. She spends individual time with them. It makes us feel better while we are at work to have the dogs in her care.”

“Thank you for letting my pup out while I was away. It's a comforting to know that she care enough to let me know that my central air turned off and my pup was in a hot house. I walked her through the steps on to turn the air back on and she stayed with her for a little bit longer to make sure the house got cooler. I would definitely recommend her because she truly cares about your pets.”

“Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Ben was timely, communicative and respectful. My 2 dogs can be a little raucous with short visits and he seemed to handle it with ease. Great price too! I will use him any and every time I can. A+”

“I booked Danielle with short notice due to a cancellation and she responded straight away, sent great photos and was very considerate, intuitive and understanding of one of my cats street cat history. Danielle took logical initiative of information I neglected to share and went above and beyond to care for my two cats with her very kind and easygoing nature. I highly recommend Danielle and would happily rebook her again.”

“This is the second time I’ve booked with Chloee and she is sensational and trustworthy. She sends photos and updates each day and is so attentive to my old buddy! He clearly has a great time with her — 100% will book with Chloee again!”

“This was our first time using Meagan for our 2 cats. She did a great job communicating with us and even with requests to help with packages/mail while we were away. She also was super awesome and took the cat trash out for us before we came home! We finally found someone in our area to help out when we are out of town! Thank you!”

About: Hi! My name is Kara and I am a recent graduate from Central Michigan University- Fire up! I just moved to Madison Heights and work in Royal Oak. My goal after finding a full-time job was to get my own fur baby, but unfortunately dogs are very expensive and do not fit into my finances at the moment. :( I LOVE dogs, my college roommate had a lab/pit mix and I was infamously known as chew toy lady. He’s so strong that no one would want to play tug of war with him, but I always would, even when it felt like he was going to rip my arm out of its socket. 😂 my family has always had dogs growing up (we had three at one point)! Being new to the area, I have a lot of free time outside of my job and would love to get into dog sitting and dog walking... another perk is I am a runner, so I can even take your super energetic doggo on a run with me! Please don’t be afraid to reach out!
Grosse Pointe Shores dog parents share their Rover experiences
Hannah does an awesome job visiting my high maintenance Doberman puppy. I always book last minute. She is very reliable, ethical, and has been a lifesaver for our family a number of times. I have full trust in her taking care of my dog and highly recommend her!

All we can say is...AMAZING! Sarah cared for our senior dog, Murphy, while we were out of town. It was our first time leaving him with somebody other than family. He was comfortable, cared for, and given a lot of attention. She administered medicine to him, walked him, and treated him like her own pet. She send us detailed feedback and pictures at each visit. We highly recommend Sarah and will be a repeat client!
