“Nia and Phillip came in clutch! I’m a travel healthcare worker from Arizona and my place wasn’t ready and I had to go to work. Nia and Phillip were able with a 24 hour notice able to care for my fur baby PJ so I would be able to go to work. They took great care of him. I highly recommend them.”

“Sofia, thank you so much! Sofia was fantastic. Communication was perfect, and much appreciated. We had a good meet and greet to start, which led into a very comfortable and fun stay for Ara. The pictures said it all, I coudl see my dog smiling in every photo as she was so happy. When a pet owner is away for 8 days for work, it precisely this that makes it a tad easier. I would highly recommend Sofia, and hope to have Ara stay with Sofia again in the future.”

“Lisa was great with Bear! She sent us photos while we were away and treated him like her own. We felt totally comfortable knowing he was in good hands and would definitely book her again.”

“Queeny always takes such great care of Kaju! We went away on a two-week trip and I don’t think Kaju wanted to leave Queeny’s - even running back to her for one last goodbye! She sends photos and status updates on any new friends he has made during his stay. I know I can trust her to take great care of Kaju and I will always recommend her!! Your pup will be in great hands 😊”

“I recently boarded my dog, Marty, with Erika again for the 3rd time, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Erika's genuine love for dogs and her professional approach made me feel completely at ease. Marty came home happy, healthy, and clearly well-cared-for. Highly recommend Erika for her exceptional dog boarding services! we will be back!”

“Dalonna was an exceptional Sitter! She’s very communicative, educated, and reliable! Chapo had such an amazing time with her and he was super relaxed around her! Her energy is magnetic and I would recommend booking with her which is what I will be doing anytime I need a sitter!”

“Renee has watched Skylar 3 times now. I seriously think our dog likes her more than us! She does so much with her! Walks, playtime, games…even bakes her treats! So glad I found someone I can trust with our little girl.”

“Yelitsa took exceptional care of my pet, Enoki. I was totally comfortable knowing that my pet was in good hands. The daily update pictures informed me that Enoki was happy. Excellent service!!!”

“Mou & Yanling were very loving towards Sunny. It was Sunny's first time with other pets at Mou & Yanling; Sunny seems to be good being with other dogs. Sunny also liked their well fenced yard. Thank you so much Mou & Yanling!”

“Carson was so great to my Jackson. He took great care of him and made him feel right at home. Carson sent great communications before and while I was away. I felt very comfortable leaving Jackson with Carson and will be so happy if he is able to keep him any time I need to be away.”

“Cody (and Sersi) was amazing for our boys. Being a group of three Aussies made it that much better because everyone got along great and we got great pictures of our boys! Would absolutely bring our dogs to Cody again!”

“Rafael and his partner took fantastic care of my senior dog, who was still recovering from recent surgery. They were incredibly attentive, providing daily updates and photos that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. They’re a super communicative and genuinely kind couple — I could tell Mistral was in great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. Highly recommended!”

“Good communicator. Took care of russ with frequent walks and meals. Twice a day. A nice feature was sharing daily photo updates through the rover app. I could tell he was healthy and attentive. I would definitely work with Jess again.”

“I'm a trucker and needed someone to watch our cat the same day while we went to Canada. David was available thankfully at the time we needed to drop her off and pick her up even though both times were pretty late. I really appreciated that!”

“Ashley was our life saver with watching our new puppy! We had a family trip planned long before knowing when we’d get our puppy and the timing was such that we needed help! She met with us prior, and learned after that she needed to give two medications (which she was not troubled by in the least!) Ashley sent us regular photos and videos and we could tell our new fur baby was in excellent hands! She also accommodated our very late arrival to pick up. She has set the bar high, as this was our first experience! Your pet will be well loved with Ashley.”

About: I have been the trusted family and friend dog sitter for over 15 years, consistently being the first person people turn to whenever they go out of town. I grew up in a home surrounded by animals, so caring for pets has always felt natural to me and has become a true part of who I am. I recently lost my Shih Tzu due to old age, which also gave me meaningful experience caring for a senior dog and understanding the patience, attentiveness, and gentle care older pets require. I truly enjoy being around animals and providing them with comfort, companionship, and routine care. I especially miss having a little “fur companion” around and look forward to giving that same love and attention to every pet I care for. I work from home, which allows me to provide a highly flexible and reliable schedule for pet care throughout the day. I am able to accommodate morning, midday, evening, and even last-minute requests depending on availability. Because I am home-based, pets in my care receive consistent attention, regular check-ins, walks, and companionship rather than being left alone for long periods. I can easily adjust my routine to meet feeding schedules, medication times, and exercise needs, ensuring each pet’s normal routine is maintained as closely as possible while their owner is away. I care for pets by focusing on maintaining their normal routine, comfort, and safety while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they are my own, making sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and consistent care throughout the day. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, walks, and any special instructions such as medications or behavioral needs. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet owners can feel confident and connected while they are apart from their pets. The services I offer include dog walking, drop-in visits, boarding, and house sitting. During walks, I ensure pets get safe, enjoyable exercise suited to their energy level. For drop-ins, I provide feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. For boarding and house sitting, I create a calm, caring environment where pets feel secure and receive ongoing attention, routine care, and supervision. My goal is to make sure each pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for from start to finish.

“Puja was amazing with our Spotz. She was very accommodating of our drop off and pick up time. She took super care of Spotz and was very detailed about knowing instructions in order to help Spotz have a good stay. She updated us regularly with pictures and emails which helped to put our minds at ease since this was a long stay (8 days). Spotz got lots of exercise and outdoor time daily and all the love and cuddles he enjoys. We will definitely board Spotz with her in the future. It’s become his home away from him. Thanks Puja!”

“From our initial meet and greet to pick-up, Aunt Patti made us feel like we were a valued part of her family. Patti is a pet parent dream. You instantly could tell how much she loves dogs. Well stocked with toys and treats, Patti made sure my pet felt at home. Patti asked all the right questions to make sure my pet would be following the same rules we've set at home. She also made sure her yard was safe and secure for a small dog. Garvey will be returning to Aunt Patti's soon!”

Literally a God send!!! Azariah cared for our baby, like she was her own! I even extended her stay twice! She kept us updated on how our baby was doing. She sent pics & videos. She didn’t just “pet sit.” She LOVED our baby! Azariah was more than accommodating! I’m praying she’s available every time we need her in the future!

Allesha did a great job, as always, taking care of Mylo. Even though it had been a long time since they last saw each other, Mylo's excitement said it all! I was kept updated throughout his stay and received plenty of photos and videos, which I really appreciated. Allesha responded quickly to all my messages and made sure Mylo was comfortable and well cared for at all times. He came home happily exhausted, which showed just how much fun he had. I would definitely book with Allesha again!

Lasya and her family took great care of Posey! Posey liked them right away when they first met. They sent us many photos and videos during the stay, and it was clear that they spent a lot of time playing with her and keeping her happy. We really appreciated the care, updates, and attention they gave her. We would definitely recommend them!

5/5, 10/10, A+ care from Aaria! I had boarded my 7 year old anxious rescue with her and she was extremely accommodating and even on a shorter notice. He was very comfortable with her and at her place, she also kept up great communication while I was out of town. I will absolutely be going back to her if I need care for him again! I can’t recommend enough, she provided such great care for my dog! :) Thank you agaiN Aaria!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
