Pet care experience

Your Dog’s second favourite human

Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve had my family dog, Chutney, for over 10 years, and taking care of him is really what got me into dog sitting. I did Rover throughout college and absolutely loved it, and after taking a break during the pandemic, I’m excited to be offering my services again. Since moving to Detroit, I’ve spent the past three years dog sitting and caring for many wonderful pups. I previously worked fully remotely, and while I’m now hybrid, my schedule is still very flexible. Right now, I’m only in the office once a week for a couple of hours, and starting in July 2026 I’ll be in the office three days a week. The good news is that I get to choose my own hours, so I won’t be gone all day just a couple hours! This flexibility allows me to continue giving pets plenty of attention, companionship, walks, and care throughout the day.

Aaria and Aiden were great! They seem to really enjoy Pecan and she seemed happy as well. Very easy to communicate with and their house and property is lovely and perfect for dogs to explore and play.

Aaria was great with my dog George! She made me feel comfortable right away, and he warmed right up to her. My dog was super tired out, which is always nice to come home to!

5/5, 10/10, A+ care from Aaria! I had boarded my 7 year old anxious rescue with her and she was extremely accommodating and even on a shorter notice. He was very comfortable with her and at her place, she also kept up great communication while I was out of town. I will absolutely be going back to her if I need care for him again! I can’t recommend enough, she provided such great care for my dog! :) Thank you agaiN Aaria!

Aaria was very responsive and flexible with pick up and drop off times for Fonzie. She was thoughtful and asked questions about his schedule, preferences and we came back to happy pup! We will definitely rebook in the future.

Aaria is so good with Potato! It’s clear she knows dogs, and made the extra effort to know his quirks and needs, then asked me for details on his training as appropriate. She also had great communication with me. As a sitter myself (and if I’m honest a helicopter mom) I am so happy to have found her and can’t wait for Potatos next stay!

Aaria was great! She was always super-quick to respond to my messages and my dog Izo had a great time. I'll definitely be giving her a call next time he needs a home away from home.

Schedule

Pet care fits pretty easily into my daily routine because I currently work a hybrid schedule and only go into the office once a week for a couple of hours. Starting in July 2026, my schedule will shift to three in-office days per week, but I’ll still only need to be there for a couple of hours each day. I also live with my partner, who is great with dogs and typically home during the day since he works evenings, so there’s usually someone around to keep your dog company and cared for while I’m briefly in the office. This gives us plenty of flexibility to follow your dog’s routine, provide lots of attention, and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for throughout the day. I also make time for at least two walks a day, along with regular check-ins, feeding, and anything else your dog may need to feel happy and comfortable.

Safety, trust & environment

I make it a priority to make sure your dog always feels safe and comfortable. I treat every dog as if they were my own. I give plenty of extra cuddles, attention, and quality time so they feel secure and loved while you’re away. You can trust that your pet will be in good hands.

A typical day

As I mentioned above, my schedule is pretty flexible even with having to go back into the office. Since I work hybrid, I still have lots of flexibility throughout the day for when, how long, and how often I can take your dog for walks and give them attention. I can also take them to the dog park for exercise and socialization, and I love treating them to a special snack or treat if approved. And of course — lots of cuddles!

I would like to know a little bit about the dog before sitting him or her! I would love to know the breed, how much training the dog as had or anything special that I must know about the dog! I have no breed preferences.
