I am a teacher who is home for the summer. I get up early to take a morning walk and avoid the summer heat and take another evening walk. I love taking my dog to the beach to swim throughout the week, as well.

A typical day
We can look forward to walks along the riverfront and around the neighborhood. We can also take a swim at Belle Isle when it’s too hot for a long midday walk.

I grew up with large breeds and have had dogs my entire life. I lived with all different kinds of foster dogs and now have one 5 year old dog at home. My husband and I are teachers who are home full time in the summer, so we can provide a lot of attention and love to any dog that comes to stay with us!

Emily took such wonderful care of our dogs. Easy communication and caring. She is thoughtful about how to make the dogs comfortable in an unfamiliar setting and is very considerate about safety in introducing new dogs to one another.
This was my first experience with Emily and her husband watching my two dogs, and I couldn’t be happier! From the moment I met them, it was clear they genuinely love animals and treated my pups like they were their own. They kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. When I picked my dogs up, they were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Emily, Jason & Larry were excellent hosts!! Upon my request for a sitter, they suggested a meet & greet between our dogs. They were welcoming and caring about insuring the dogs were compatible. We agreed on letting Nanook stay. They were very communicative about what our dog was up to, how he was getting along with Larry and they sent photos too. After the stay we were surprised to have received a thank you note and a personalized treat in our bag. That was such a sweet touch! We would definitely book with Emily & Jason again! Nanook enjoyed his stay with them and Larry!
