“I was nervous because this was the first time I'd left Picasso with someone he didn't know. Ekow was extremely kind and sent updates of a happy dog daily, which made me feel much better. We've found a new sitter and I will definitely be reaching out anytime we need a sitter. Five stars!!”

“Whitley is the absolute best! Gave our dog so much love, movement, and fun! Marshall loved playing with her dog too. She was super accommodating when our flight was delayed too.”

“Steven was a great sitter. I was a little nervous at first but Steven sent daily pictures and videos, I was able to see Raven become more relaxed and comfortable each day. I was very satisfied and would definitely book Steven again and recommend him to others.”

“Jess is wonderful. I have engaged her twice to board my American Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Both times issues arose, one was a health issue and another where my flight was cancelled and I needed extra days of care. She cheerfully accommodated the situation and put my mind at ease during a stressful time. She takes great care of Halle, who is a rescue and can be reactive towards other dogs. I usually have to give a lot of instructions for sitters, but not so much with Jess, she just knows what to do. I especially noticed that Halle was more relaxed after staying with Jess. Now that she is used to her, I feel really comfortable leaving Halle with Jess.”

“So happy I booked with Kayla to sit my pup while I was on vacation. She kept my mind at ease with all the pictures and the updates. I felt confident she would treat my dog right. I definitely plan on booking with her again in the near future.”

“Cody was so great with our golden retriever, Snoop! His dog seemed to get along well with Snoop and it was great to know he was in a good environment being well taken care of!”

“Beverly took wonderful care of my Frenchie. She was quick to make Cookie feel right at home. Sent a lot of pictures and videos. There is always some anxiety when having someone care for your pet, but I knew within an hour my Cookie was in the right place. I would recommend Beverly to anyone who needs pet care and sitting services. So much better than a kennel. Your dog will be loved and will gets lots and lots of attention and love all day and all night.”

“Sofia was very patient, attentive and sweet with my senior dog. When he got an upset tummy, as he sometimes does, she handled it like a champ, contacting me, cleaning up, keeping him calm and comfortable, reaching out to Rover vet line. When he was feeling better, she took him for walks - his favorite! Thank you Sofia!”

“Just simply amazing. Very patient and kind and many many updates throughout their stay which keeps your mind at ease. They took two of my elderly dogs who are sometimes a bit extra and they treated them like their own. Very professional. Also their house is truly a dogs paradise. You won’t be disappointed with the care your furbabies will receive. Most definitely will be a repeat customer.”

“An absolute Angel taking care of both of my babies for an extended stay! The ladies miss you and your family so much, I can tell! They had cuddles, play, and I had so many cute pictures sent my way that made me feel like they were safe, loved, and that they’d want to come back for more!! Thank you!!!”

“First time booking with Angela and it won’t be our last! She was incredibly kind and considerate when taking on Wade. The meet & greet went great and the stay was even better. It’s clear she cares about animals and their needs. Wade had a great time! Great communication throughout his stay and very accommodating! Highly recommend.”

“Mou & Yanling were amazing with our seven-year-old doggy; she is a well-behaved dog but can be reactive with other dogs. They were very patient and loving, and when I picked her up, I could see how happy her stay was. They sent me videos and pictures daily, and my dog looked so happy. They also stitched and fixed a sweater she wore, which was so sweet and kind. Our doggy's stay was four days. I will book them again for my doggy's next boarding if available, and I highly recommend them. Thank you, Mou & Yanling, for being so caring and loving with Sparrow :)”

“Sam is attentive and accommodating and you can tell he really cares about the dogs he boards. I am always nervous to board Hana anywhere but with Sam I felt a sense of ease. Based on the consistent and detailed updates, Hana seemed to have a great time! Would definitely book again.”

“Meredith was super kind, lovely and made my little Bichon Frisé felt totally at home. She updated me with videos and pictures constantly even describing how my little one was feeling each day. Definitely I’ll book Meredith again, she is the best!”

“Kayla was great with my geriatric dog! The time my pup spent with her did her good, she came back with so much life, and energy, like she went on a relaxing vacation! I'm very grateful for the attentive care she provided to my fur baby.”
“Yelitsa took exceptional care of my pet, Enoki. I was totally comfortable knowing that my pet was in good hands. The daily update pictures informed me that Enoki was happy. Excellent service!!!”

About: I grew up with large breeds and have had dogs my entire life. I lived with all different kinds of foster dogs and now have one 5 year old dog at home. My husband and I are teachers who are home full time in the summer, so we can provide a lot of attention and love to any dog that comes to stay with us! I am a teacher who is home for the summer. I get up early to take a morning walk and avoid the summer heat and take another evening walk. I love taking my dog to the beach to swim throughout the week, as well. I live in a home with a yard (unfenced) and a 5 year old poodle mix to keep your pup company. Lots of walks and time spent snuggling will help keep your dog happy when they stay with me.
“Kadi was an outstanding caretaker of my pup Billie. She is a great communicator and a really warm and caring person. I didn’t worry at all about Billie while she was in Kadi’s care. I got lots of pictures and multiple updates each day. She kept her active and happy. I will definitely book with Kadi again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Highland Park
This was my pup's first stay with Sofia, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She sent frequent updates and photos throughout the holiday weekend, which really helped me relax knowing my girl was happy and well cared for. Sofia's communication was excellent, and I truly appreciated the care and attention she gave my pup. I'd absolutely book another stay and highly recommend her!

Lauren was absolutely fantastic! This was our first time leaving our dog with her and we couldn’t be happier! She provided many updates and was a super responsible sitter. She kept up with our dog’s normal routine and I could tell our dog really enjoyed her stay. We will absolutely be using Lauren again!

Whitley and Christian were fantastic! From the moment we met them at the meet and greet, and all through our time away, they were caring and thoughtful individuals. They treated our dog, Eleanor, like their own dog. They were great about posting photos and updates for Eleanor just about every day. We really appreciated the care they gave Eleanor. We would have them dogs sit again for us anytime.

So impressed with Skyler & Dylan. This was my first time using rover and my experience with them will make me a repeat client. They are extremely kind, flexible, communicative, and my pup was in the best hands! I got pictures, updates, and the whole process was seamless. I know Vito was safe, happy, and extra loved/spoiled!!! Highly recommended staying with them!

Kira's been our rover since we moved to Detroit, and our dog's hung out with her and her dog many times at this point. Our dog clearly loves staying over, which is rare for her, and it speaks to Kira's ability to care for animals and be responsible and present. Will continue to trust her with my dog for as long as she's willing!

Lauren is a fantastic pet sitter. It's clear she loves dogs, and that's exactly why I keep coming back to her. While with her, my dogs get to meet new people (her family), play with new dogs, and have a vacation of their own. She's very responsive and provides consistent updates. I would recommend her to any dog parent in the area!

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
