“Queeny provided a safe and welcoming home away from home for our two dogs. She sent us photos or videos every day to show that the dogs were healthy and happy, and we could tell that the dogs were stress-free when we came to collect them. We like the fact that there was an enclosed yard for them to run in, and that they were the only dogs in the home. We will definitely use Queeny again!”

“Chris was great! On time, friendly, and Bertie was happy as a clam when I got home. Event with a short notice, communication was clear and I was able to leave my home without worry. Thanks Chris!”

“Happy to have Kelly as our new dog sitter. She took really good care of our three little ones and even the shy one got used to her. We got updates and the dogs looked great the day picked them up! I think they got pampered all days long :-) Thanks a lot Kelly. We will come back to you.”

“Enaes did a fantastic job handling my very nervous pooch and was very flexible when I was stuck out of town due to the weather. She provided updates and I felt comfortable having Pheo in her care.”

About: Whether your pet stays with me or I care for them in your home, your dog (s) will receive the same level of care I give my own pets—fresh food and water, regular meals, exercise, playtime, affection, and close attention to their individual needs. Further, I have experience with administering medicine such as eye drops, ingestible liquids/pills, and shots. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you're away, giving you peace of mind that they're in capable hands. I’ve been surrounded by furry friends my entire life! When I was a kid, my family had two dogs along with other animals, providing me with a foundation for loving and caring for pets. Since then, family and friends have trusted me to provide pet care services including pet sitting- feeding, play, and providing overnight company. I have 24 years of experience with small and medium sized dogs. Care for dogs is my only profession, allowing me to give your dog my full attention. My home is safe, welcoming, and open, and my friendly dog loves having dog visitors to play with. Your dog will be free to roam my home- welcome on the furniture- and have plenty of space to run in my large fenced in yard. Additionally, I am located near the heart of Dowtown Royal Oak for dogs who are excited by people and other dogs, as well as several parks with open spaces within walking distance. I currently have a four dog limit for boarding and pet sitting. I’m home full time, so I’m able to provide pets care with my full attention. Whether morning, afternoon, or night I’m available round the clock to fit you and your pets schedule and needs. I prefer one day advanced notice to schedule as well as to cancel care but can be flexible. I’m happy to provide care in your home or mine! My home is safe, welcoming, and cat-friendly, and my friendly dog loves having canine visitors to play with. I have a large fenced in yard dogs both small and big can enjoy and many local parks within walking distance!
“last minute booking but felt super comfortable as mowgli had an amazing experience the last time with angelina and her family! i was so grateful for the picture updates and consistent communication.”

“Linda was very good about watching over my little Duncan! He got along great with her other 2 dogs and everything went really well. She sent me many photos so I knew that my dog was fine.”

“I am very thankful for Tanuja for taking my Lucy on a last minute request to board. She was so flexible and very accomodating and it was a very pleasant dealing with her. On the day of boarding she will give constant updates, she will send plenty of pictures (great pics of Lucy together with their cute dog Mochi). Her husband Kumar helps her out with the doggies and they treat your dog like their own. They are not only great dog sitters but also really nice persons. I will definitely have them take care of my Lucy if the need arises . I would highly recommend Tanuja and Kumar (plus Mochi) to take care of your fur baby.”

“Kara was amazing. She was quick to respond and took such good care of our senior pup while we were out of town. She was a great communicator, especially when it came to some concerns with our dog while we were gone. We would highly recommend her!”

“Kayla was so amazing with our cat! she communicates very quickly and sends lots of updates :) I felt so at ease and safe leaving our little kitty with her ❤️ Will def be rebooking in the future !!!!”

“loved them... they took so good care of my dog that I didn't have to worry about anything... my dog is very choosy about his food and its an effort to make him eat and vinata did a great job of trying to make him eat... I was being updated regularly about his activities by videos and photos... they are so friendly that you immediately feel very comfortable and have this feeling as if you know each other from a long time... thank you vinata for taking care of Simba so well....”

“10/10 stars!! I would absolutely try boarding/cat sitting with Hali in the future. I was considerably nervous as it was the first time my cat would ever spend a night away from me. Hali made sure to keep me updated with plenty of pictures and videos of Wednesday during her stay! My cat is an anxious girl, so I appreciated the effort and patience Hali had with her. Hali was also very considerate about the fact that my cat gets anxious around dogs, and thankfully was able to provide Wednesday with a space of her own! Overall, I’m very happy with the quality of care Wednesday received and would definitely recommend booking with Hali.”

“Jill took such good care of my dog on his visit to her home. We had contacted her a couple of days prior to her watching him and she was really responsive, accommodating and attentive to him while he was injured in a cone and administered his meds and provided extra care. We will definitely be coming back to Jill! Thanks so much!”

“Carolina was absolutely fantastic! Hazel loved her time there. She was happy and tired (in a great way) when we picked her up. Carolina had excellent communication and took Hazel for a nice walk in the neighborhood, her favorite thing to do. Am definitely using Carolina again!”

“Excellent sitter. Rebecca sent photos of Coco and let me know how she was doing. Rebecca has experience with older dogs and is a good fit for taking care of my dog.”
About: I've had dogs all my life, I've also been a sitter for dogs periodically over the last 20 years. My dog would love to have more friends around and I have an unlimited amount of love to give for all the doggos of the world. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for dogs to run around. I also live in a friendly and safe neighborhood. I also have flexibility to accommodate your dog's specific needs.
“Alison and Parmer cared for Max like he was their own! Communication was outstanding, Alison sent pictures and updates per my request. I knew Max was getting the attention and love he would have at home which allowed us to travel without worry. We’re grateful he was in such good care!”

About: Looking for a safe, loving, and playful place for your pup while you’re at work or running errands, or holiday? We only host a maximum of 2 dogs at a time, which means your fur baby will get personal attention, care, and love, not a crowded daycare vibe. Your pup will also have the best playmate, our 1.5-year-old Husky, Chabella, who is full of energy, super friendly, and always ready for a game of chase or tug. Dogs love her, and she’ll make sure your dog feels like part of the pack from the very first sniff! I work remotely, and my wife works hybrid, so there’s always someone home to keep an eye on the pups. We truly see our dog as our baby, and we’ll treat yours with the same respect, love, and care. What sets us apart: Small group (max 2 dogs) = more love & attention Built-in furry friend (Chabella the Husky!) Flexible drop-off & pick-up times. If you’re looking for a home away from home where your pup will be safe, loved, and entertained – we’d love to welcome them into our pack! I work remotely and my wife works hybrid, so we have the time and flexibility to help with your dogs. We can also do boardings while you are out of town. We have a fenced yard and a playful husky still a puppy of 2 years old full of energy and in need of more friends!
“Alyssa is a great sitter and very accommodating. I booked with her and needed to cancel after no longer needing her. She could not offer a refund at that time so I decided to send my dog with her anyway. My dog stayed one night and she then offered a full refund for other unforeseen reasons that weren't her fault, and she didnt have to do that. She offered to brush my dog daily with no extra cost. She usually charges for grooming and I didnt know that nor did I have that listed in my dogs care and she offered to do it anyway. Although my dog didnt stay with her very long, I could tell she has a heart for animals and I can assure you, your fur baby will be in good hands with Alyssa.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Beverly Hills
Heidi was my first sitter using Rover and made it a super easy and reassuring experience for both me and Reese! She was so great at sending photos, letting me know how she was doing with fun updates, and made sure that Reese was enjoying herself all weekend. Winston is also a great dog-host and so sweet to help host!

My experience was awesome. This was my first time using Rover and Sogol v made this the best experience ever. She was friendly, showed my pup and myself love. I felt so comfortable because she went above and beyond with her selfless personality. She sent pictures and communicated with me daily. I would recommend her to anyone looking to use this service. You can feel the love she has for animals and people. I can't thank her enough and will use her again.

Shannon was so kind and friendly! She shared photos of my dog and even had fun toys for her to enjoy that she hadn’t tried before, as well as enjoyed her fenced in yard. This was my first time using Rover and after a meet and greet, it put my mind at rest. Rhubarb had a great time away during the 4th of July! Thank you so much, Shannon!

Jennifer was great with Basil. She sent updates and Basil always looked like he was having a good time and getting lots of attention. It was really hard to leave our pup and Jennifer made us feel a lot better, knowing she was being so caring with him. I would recommend Jennifer and use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
