“Anirudh did a wonderful job taking care of our Luna! He was very caring, responsible, and attentive to her needs. We felt completely comfortable knowing Luna was in good hands while we were away. He kept us updated and treated Luna with so much love and care. We truly appreciate everything he did and would definitely recommend Anirudh to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. We would happily have him take care of Luna again! 🐾❤️”

“What an amazing host family! Tanuja took all the appropriate steps to make me and spice feel welcome and comfortable with this being a first time host. We had a meet and greet so both dogs could get comfortable with each other and after that moved towards hosting. She kept me well informed and was very thorough with making sure she had everything to care for spice. I would definitely book again with her in the future and would recommend her to anyone who asked.”

“Miranda and Erica provided a truly loving home for Honey. Always a good sign when your dog wants to stay and not get into the car. Having a fenced back yard was a real treat for Honey. But all the cuddles she got was the highlight. We will definitely book again.”

“Megan and her boys were amazing with my older pup, Brady! They gave him tons of cuddles and walks and frankly spoiled him. Megan is very communicative and sends tons of updates and photos. Thank you!”

“Heather is IMO a “dog whisperer”. My finicky old dog stayed with her for 10 days. Heather is calm, patient and seems to intuitively know how to keep a dog happy and content. I really appreciated her help.”

“Vinata and the family were extremely caring and made sure Jamoon felt comfortable and safe. I was happy to see the entire family involved in this process and consistently shared regular updates with me. I highly recommend Vinata especially if you have a highly energetic dog like we do so that they can be cared well when you are travelling. Thank you, Vinata and family!”

“Cody was very responsive and Nico seemed very happy during his first stay there. Cody helped Nico acclimate to a new place and Nico had lots of fun playing with the other dogs.”

“I’m so glad I found Susan! She was absolutely wonderful with my pup! She will be my go to in the area from now on. I felt my dog was getting great care with lots of updates.”

“Philly did great with Jenna. She was very accommodating and I can tell Philly was very comfortable with her. When I picked him up, he kept wanting to go back in her house! - Proof that he was well cared for. Would highly recommend Jenna.”

“Queeny provided a safe and welcoming home away from home for our two dogs. She sent us photos or videos every day to show that the dogs were healthy and happy, and we could tell that the dogs were stress-free when we came to collect them. We like the fact that there was an enclosed yard for them to run in, and that they were the only dogs in the home. We will definitely use Queeny again!”

“Gave us regular updates and helped make what was a chaotic weekend for me and my girlfriend, a nice peaceful getaway with no worries. Can’t thank them enough!”

“Kelly is a GOD SEND. I travel a lot for work, and am a single mom. She has taken amazing care of my dogs every time she has watched them, and they always come back happy and exhausted from all of the fun. Couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“Sam totally and completely exceeded our expectations as a pet sitter and caregiver! Honestly, I was nervous about using Rover to find someone to watch our pit mix, Thelma Lou. She's a rescue and we're the third (and final!) home she's had, so we knew we didn't want to board her at a traditional facility. We also weren't sure how she would get along with other dogs. When we first reached out to Sam, I told her that we were open to boarding, but would prefer to have her drop in on Thelma. Sam really encouraged us to board Thelma with her and after our meet-and-greet, we were convinced! Sam was so positive, patient, and caring with our girl. And she did awesome at helping Thelma socialize with her dogs! Where Sam truly went above and beyond, was helping us make our wedding day special! The reason we had initially reached out was to have her watch Thelma Lou for our wedding. We had originally wanted to have her be a part of our ceremony, but ultimately decided that it would be too overwhelming for her. We then decided that we'd like to have her in our photos and Sam suggested that we add on a pick-up/drop-off service. Sam drove 45+ minutes (with today's insane gas prices!) to bring Thelma up to our venue for about an hour of pictures. She did such a good job and even brought toys and extra treats to get Thelma's attention and winning smiles! Bonus! Sam is taking classes to become a trainer - and it shows in the way she works with her pets. We will DEFINITELY be working with her again in the future! Thank you, Sam!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Beverly Hills
"I am so glad I found her to watch Simba! She provided amazing in-home care, took him out for great walks, and sent wonderful photo updates that gave me complete peace of mind. She is incredibly reliable and professional. I felt so relieved knowing Simba was safe and happy in his own home. I will definitely be booking her again!"

I highly recommend Rachael for dog sitting. She took the best care of Gatsby - she sent pictures daily and took him for lots of walks. Now that he is home, I can tell that he misses hanging out with her goldendoodle, Rosie. They were very cute together. Thanks, Rachael!

Heidi was my first sitter using Rover and made it a super easy and reassuring experience for both me and Reese! She was so great at sending photos, letting me know how she was doing with fun updates, and made sure that Reese was enjoying herself all weekend. Winston is also a great dog-host and so sweet to help host!

Jennifer was great with Basil. She sent updates and Basil always looked like he was having a good time and getting lots of attention. It was really hard to leave our pup and Jennifer made us feel a lot better, knowing she was being so caring with him. I would recommend Jennifer and use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
