LOVING HOME CARE-ONE DOG AT A TIME

I love dogs. I care for one dog at a time in my home. Every dog gets a long walk through the wooded area I live in. That's lots of new sniffs and exploring for your dog to enjoy. Every client and pet receives individual attention because I care for one family at a time. I've been fortunate to have had 3 dogs as family members over the years. I saw them through their lives from puppyhood to the end. Care for a dog in a home is so much better for the dog than a cage in a kennel-especially for long term stays. *DOG WALKING DURING THE STAY: Included with Boarding: I will walk your dog every other day (weather permitting) at distance of .75- 1.5 miles depending on the size and weight of your dog. WALK SERVICE: If you want your dog walked daily there is an extra per/day charge for every walk over every other day. Go to Services/Dog Walking and select the number of those days at the Rate /Walk/Day. Note: I walk the dogs that are boarding with me only. I am not available for paid walks for dogs that are not staying in my home. .

Lynn did a great job with my dog Max! She cared about all the details and I knew he was in good hands when she described his personality traits and behavior when we returned . She appreciated my sweet boy as I do and I saw his affection towards her.

Lynn took great care of Lily. She was very thorough making sure to understand Lily’s schedule, habits and preferences. She shared screenshots of their long walks and how Lily was doing over the week. We’ll definitely book her again.

Lynn is a very nice and detailed oriented pet sitter and I appreciate her efforts. We had some minor disagreements which we were able to resolve and Buddy came home VERY hungry. His way of telling Lynn he missed me. I would recommend Lynn on the future

Schedule

I am a retiree and I'm at home every day. Your dog will get first priority with me. If they need to go out, I stop whatever I'm doing and take them out. Walks are done based on the owner's preferences (eg. distance and frequency). Your dog will be treated like one of the family as I would treat my own. Petting, walking, being part of daily activity in the house, and watching TV or listening to calming music in the evening is part of the home experience provided for your dog.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present

Dogs not allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Safety, trust & environment

Safety & Trust: I require Emergency Contact info, and Vet contact info, from the client. Your dog will always be on a leash when outside. As far as trust is concerned, I am willing to provide my Vet contact info for my clients to contact for a recommendation. Rover reviews are a good source of recommendation. I will do pet Meet & Greets with every new client. Enviroment: My goal is to reflect the home of the owner as much as possible. That means feeding the same food and treats. Using the dog's bed or crate from home. Using owner scent items from home. And, doing my best to reflect the same environment the pet has at home to help your pet be comfortable in my home.

A typical day

First, l'll work on establishing a feeling of welcome, safety and comfort here with your pet at drop off. Second, a trip outside if needed followed by feeding if drop off is near mealtime. After the basic needs are met, a walk around this wooded community- with lots of sniffs to be explored and examined. Later we will play with toys if the pet indicates or watch calming evening TV or music to end the day. I will incorporate activities the owner indicates the pet likes or expects.

Crate-trained dogs only

Lynn can host up to 1 pet per night
I would like to know if your dog has special daily expectations such as play, walking (eg. typical distance, frequency if staying multiple days). Is your dog taking any daily meds? Does your dog have any other daily food or behavioral requirements I need to fulfill or be aware of during the stay? Owner should provide food, toys, bed and treats. If the dog might be skitish staying in a new environment, please provide some item with owners scent on it to calm the pet in their cage/crate or on their dog bed while staying here.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
