“They were so comforting and took amazing care of my dog, Mila. I felt completely at ease knowing she was in good hands. They kept me updated with pictures and messages, which meant a lot. I will absolutely use them again! Thank you Barbara and Dirk.🐾🐾”

“Caroline is fabulous! She obviously loves our pups and they love her! Max and Henry are so happy to see her when we drop them off. She sends updates every day and they’re always wagging their tails and well cared for.”

“Karen was simply amazing. She took wonderful care of our dog, Daisy. And we would absolutely have her watch Daisy again. Karen offered Daisy healthy treats throughout her stay (after making sure it was okay with us). She sent pictures and updates everyday. Daisy was often cozy, comfortable, and snuggled up. Overall, it was obvious to us that Karen is a real animal lover. We are so grateful to have found her.”

“Deana was great with Poppy! She is a dog lover and I knew Poppy was in the best hands while we were away for a long weekend. I could tell Poppy was right at home and I would definitely rebook in the future. I highly recommend!”

“Just picked up our Sammy spaniel and Luna doodle after they spent 5 nights at Holly's, and indeed we could see the dogs loved her and the family who are all very kind and loving. Holly is VERY dog-intuitive, a caregiving person, who also has a lovely home in a country setting. Highly recommend!!”

“Kelsey & Kyle take such great care of Maxx. We’re so grateful and it makes leaving Maxx a whole lot easier when we know he’s going to have a great time! Thank you!”

“Tracey gave great directions to her home and what to bring with Lukie for his first stay with her. She seemed competent and confident and I liked that she was laid back when we arrived, so therefore Lukie mirrored her energy and settled right in. She sent us a picture every day and responded to my comments. We recommend Tracey highly and will use her again . Thank you, Rover!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter. Kristi and her family took amazing care of our pup while we were out of town. They were very accommodating and communicative. We received updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our dog came home happy, well exercised, and clearly well loved. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter! We will definitely be using them again.”

“Kelly and Brandon (and Arvon) were great and so kind. Sent many photos and updates while Daisy had a sleepover. Daisy had the time of her life and didn’t seem too interested in coming home with me when I picked her up. Will definitely be visiting again.”

“This was our first time using a pet sitter on Rover, and Christina made the experience wonderful! She was quick and easy to book on semi-short notice. Her communication was great, and she kept us updated throughout the week with pictures of our pup. We will definitely plan to use Christina for all our future pet sitting needs!”

“Michael did a great job looking after our German shepherd, Kainoa. She enjoyed going on walks with him and playing fetch in his fenced backyard! Michael was very attentive to our instructions regarding Kai's care. Will definitely book with him again!”

“It was our first time using rover.com. Our dog is a 5-year-old Lab, which comes with energy, shedding hair, a little neediness, and some periodic drool. When we read Linda's bio that they once owned a Lab as well, we figured she would be a good fit for our dog. And boy, did we hit the jackpot! She and her hubby loved on our dog like he was their very own - snuggled with him, kept him well-fed, enjoyed his playfulness, took him for walks, and even sent us photos on how he was doing while were were away. We were so relieved to leave him with such trusting, caring people which made our trip that much more enjoyable!”

“I feel like we hit the jackpot with Bill and Sandy! This was our first time leaving our dog with someone other than family and he is almost 8. We picked them because they only take 1 dog at a time, they charged the same amount as it would be to board in a kennel, but he got the 1 on 1 love and attention from them and in the comfort of their beautiful home. It was just like going to grandma grandpa's house! We did a meet and greet the day before and my dog seem comfortable with them from the moment we walked in. They knew all the right things to look for- his energy level, his appetite, his body language. They sent updates every single day and included several pictures too. We were seriously so happy and pleased with how well they cared for our dog. It was not easy leaving him but it was so reassuring to know how well he was being taken care of. I would recommend Bill and Sandy to anyone! We got so lucky to pick them on our first time using Rover and I wouldn't use anyone else besides them going forward!”

“This an amazing family. My dog was so well cared for and loved. They sent me many pictures of what she was doing as it was so difficult to not have her with me. They deserve 10 stars!!!!!”

“Amazing family, amazing dog loving people.. My puppy stayed overnight and was so happy with his stay.. They have a great tolerant dog that was playing and keeping my puppies company.. Will definetly use again.. Very highly recommended”

“Stephanie made Paczki feel right at home. He had so much fun running & playing in their huge fenced in yard. Also, was kept up to date daily with pictures. Made us feel very comfortable with leaving our baby. Will definitely use again.”
“Catherine took good care of my female golden retriever who is 1 years 9 months old. She sent me pictures regularly during her stay. I would surely recommend her and I will use her the next time.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Brighton
Natalie was fantastic! I’ve never used rover before and was coming into town all the way from Colorado. She was very flexible, communicative, and easy to work with! She put my nerves straight at ease the second we met. My pup is a hyper 2.5 year old Goldendoodle and she was excellent with handling him and ensuring he did not try to escape (he had a tendency to run away). Natalie’s own small dog was very friendly and got along with my boy perfectly fine. I’ll definitely be recommending her and using her services again if I’m ever in that area again. She sent videos/photos daily and loved on my boy as if he was her own 😊great first rover experience!

I wish I could give them 100 stars. Emily and Tim were more than what we could’ve asked for in caring for our puppy for the weekend. They made me feel comfortable leading up to the stay, at drop off, and of course, during his stay. I got pictures and updates regularly which I loved! If dogs could talk I know mine would tell me that he had the BEST weekend. This was my first experience with pet sitting like this and I couldn’t be more thrilled - all thanks to this couple! I know puppies are hard (and mine is particularly energetic!) and they both were confident and capable and that put me at so much ease. Look no further for the best situation you can put your pup in while you need to be away!

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
